“Abigail did a great job caring for my dog over the 4th of July weekend. I was able to relax knowing my dog was in good hands. As a bonus my pup had a great time playing with sweet Stella. Abigail was easy to coordinate with, gave regular updates and also was very knowledgeable about dog play styles/dog behavior. Highly recommend!”

“McKinley was the best sitter we could’ve had! She was able to accommodate to a last minute request. She sent frequent updates and my pup felt so comfortable in her house with her other pets. 10/10 best sitter in the area!”

“Lia was great! Our older and anxious cat was very comfortable with her. We got frequent updates and photos and felt very reassured that our cat was in good hands. Our cat needs daily medication, which Lia also took care of without issues. Highly recommended!”

“Jasmine and Stormi were great with Roxy. Roxy was transitioning between dog foods during her stay and Jasmine handled it like a pro. I would highly recommend Jasmine for your next trip.”

“Needed last minute care for the July 4th holiday and found Aaron and Tia! Very accomodating and happy i chose them! I was worried Howie would get anxious but the daily photos and videos assured me he was well cared for and happy! Thank you so much!”

“This was my second time leaving my rescue dog, Tao, with Rouday, and both experiences have been great. He was understanding of Tao's occasional timidity after being bounced between multiple shelters as a puppy. I also appreciate that he makes dog sitting a family affair, which has been great for Tao's socialization. I'd definitely recommend Rouday to anyone looking for a reliable dog sitter!”

About: My love of dogs began when my mom got a puppy when I was in sixth grade. Now I am a dog mom. I've been the proud mom of a Boston Terrier/Frenchie mix for the past 4 years. I've raised her since she was 3 months old, through potty training, puppy training and intermediate training. I'd love to care for your fur baby too. I'm at home during the day and available to drop in/ walk your fur baby. I am available in the mornings and in the afternoon. I have an unfenced end unit townhouse. There is grass on the side of my house and plenty of unfenced grass in my townhome community. I work from home almost every day of the week so I will have time to take care of your baby during the weekday. I'm able to get out and walk dogs on the weekends. I have an unfenced yard and a fenced play area in front of my house. I have a friendly fur baby who likes to play and thinks she's the leader of the pack.

“Ms. Patience took great care of my little one. Sent plenty of updates and she took Badu on 2x the walks she usually gets. Definitely recommended her to everyone with pets that I know. Will use her services in the future :)”

“Branden was great! I received lots of pictures and videos. I know SJ had an amazing time because he was sleep on the car ride home and went straight to bed when he got home.”

“Christian was so good with my pup. He took to her immediately and based on the photos and videos he enjoyed his time with her. Christian was very responsive especially with me being a bit nervous about about my lil guy being cared for by someone new.”

“We’re so grateful for Danielle! She took amazing care of our dogs, Skye and Java, while we were away. She stayed in regular communication, sent plenty of updates and photos, and gave us such peace of mind. It was clear our babies were comfortable and well-loved. We would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, attentive, and caring pet sitter!”

“Shwari always loves staying with Alli and her crazy crew! He's actually become so good with kids now- he always tolerated them fine, but after a few stays with Alli and her boys (who are high energy but respectful of and gentle with dogs) he is so much more relaxed around small people, and has started to seek them out!”

“Vania was super friendly! And, she sent photos of our cat to assure she was settling in! She also cleaned the litter box! Would definitely recommend her for pet sitting!!”

“This was my first time using the app, and Estela answered all my questions before I booked. When I dropped off Coco, she immediately went to her. She also sent me pictures and kept me updated on how my dog was doing throughout the day and overnight. I appreciate how much she cares about animals, ensuring they return happy. I was pleased to see my dog happy when she came back, and we will definitely use her services again.”

“Matthew with family is very accommodating and will entertain your dog for a great price! They went swimming and on long walks. Executed Ozzie’s food plan and supplements no problem. They sleep in the bed with their dogs which my dog liked. I’ll be a return customer if they’ll have us.”

“Serena is great! We needed a last minute affordable dog sitter while we went on a family Vacation and Serena came thru! We would recommend her for sure. She is friendly and has great communication. She sent pictures of our dog Taz throughout his stay. We will use Serena’s services again.”

“Sunny is the BEST sitter I have used on Rover! She is so attentive to my dog, sends frequent updates like pictures and videos, and truly makes her a priority during her stay. I frequently get updates of all the walks she goes on — my dog is tired and happy when she comes back to see me. Would absolutely recommend Sunny to anyone who is looking for quality in care at a reasonable price!”

“I had never used Rover before and couldn't have asked for a better dog sitter than Brian! I received updates and photos throughout the weekend, making me feel confident that I had left Bernie in good hands. When I picked him up at the end of my trip, I got a happy, tired dog. I would absolutely use Brian again next time I have to leave town!”

Hello when I say this was my first time ever trusting someone with my fur babies it was the best decision. Linda kept me updated with videos and pictures throughout the time they stayed with her, i appreciated that so much. I will book with her again and again.
Excellent care from start to finish. My dog came home happy, comfortable, and clearly well cared for. I truly appreciated the attention and care that was provided. I would definitely recommend this sitter to anyone looking for a trustworthy and reliable caregiver for their pet.

Ivy and Ruby rarely show excitement when visiting or spending time with humans, they tend to be rather chill or nonchalant. However, when they connect the dots that they are visiting with Lillian, they get excited and I see joy in them that brings me much comfort. Thank you Lilian for creating space for my little girls and for providing them exceptional care.

Mark and his family are the best home away from home for my baby. Quick response time, and very flexible when it comes to drop off and pick up, even when travel plans changed at the last minute. I appreciate the beautiful photos that I receive as well, all showing that Spud is having the best time!

We had a wonderful experience with Jayla! She was incredibly friendly, flexible with scheduling, and made us feel completely at ease while we were away. We especially appreciated the daily photo updates, which gave us peace of mind and let us see how happy and well cared for our pet was. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter.

Tommy H.responded quickly and thankfully accommodated a last minute booking. He had an organized approach with intros, drop off, and pickup. He communicated daily with updates. When flight was delayed, he worked with another family member for pickup. 5 out of 5 gold 🌟 star service. Highly recommend Tommy H.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
