“I cannot recommend Carolin enough for anyone in need of top-notch pet care! From the moment I dropped off my pup Coco with them, I knew he was in great hands. Carolin provided updates and photos regularly, which gave me peace of mind during my conference. It was evident that Coco was not only well-cared for but also genuinely loved during his stay. I returned to a happy and healthy pup, which is all any pet owner could ask for. Thank you, Carolin, for your exceptional care and attention to detail. I will definitely be booking with you again in the future!”

“Pamela was wonderful with Queenie! He stayed with her for 3 nights and she sent regular updates. I’m always a little nervous about leaving him somewhere new because he is a senior dog with some minor health issues, but she handled him perfectly. Her dog Cassie is very sweet and the 2 got along well. Would definitely book with Pamela again!!”

“Marc was absolutely fantastic with Jace! From the beginning, he made the entire boarding experience easy and stress-free. Jace was well cared for, and it was clear he was in great hands while I was away. What really stood out was Marc’s flexibility. My travel plans changed unexpectedly, and I needed to extend Jace’s stay at the last minute. Marc was incredibly accommodating and didn’t hesitate to help, which took a huge weight off my shoulders during an already stressful travel situation. He communicated well, was reliable, and treated Jace like one of his own. It’s not always easy leaving your dog with someone new, but I felt completely comfortable knowing Jace was with Marc. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and dependable sitter!”

“Criza sat our dog for almost two weeks in her home. This was our first time having our dog boarded and Criza was fantastic! She was communicative before and during the booking, providing daily updates and photos. Luna had a great time with photos of her sleeping on Criza, playing in multiple parks, walking around town, and lounging around the house. I also really appreciated her flexibility and support managing drop off and pick up as we navigated international travel.”

About: I’ve had a dog since I was 2 years old. We grew up together! From childhood through adulthood, I’ve cared for animals my entire life— 4 dogs (2 senior), 12 puppies, 6 cats, 2 hamsters, tons of fish, lizards, and oddly enough a baby squirrel for about a year. I grew up in an adventurous home full of unique personalities and needs. These experiences taught me patience, responsibility, and how to read animal behavior early on. I’m trained in fear-free handling, I take time to understand each pet’s comfort level, and treat every animal as if they were my own. Whether your pet needs playtime, gentle care, or a calm presence, I tailor my approach so they feel safe, loved, and happy. I’m an online student and home most of the day, which means your pets get lots of attention and consistency. I offer flexible scheduling, including drop-ins, overnight stays, and last minute requests when available. If your plans change, I do my best to accommodate because life happens! Your pet’s safety and happiness are my top priorities. I keep a clean, calm environment and follow your pet’s routine to help them feel right at home. I avoid busy streets and stressful environments that they may not be accustomed to. I love a peaceful nature walk with your permission or a quiet park with lots of room to roam. I also send regular photos and message updates so you never miss a moment. If anything unexpected happens, I stay calm, prepared, and communicative. I am a powerlifter and strong enough to pull back or pick up any pup less than 265 lbs with ease. You can trust your precious little ones are in good hands.
“Christian was awesome with Hazel! She sent multiple pictures and very quick to respond. She was very accommodating when we needed to change the pick up time. Great experience!”

“Camille was amazing to Storm during her stay. Camille was in communication with us through the booking and provided us with photos. Would definitely book with Camille again.”

“Kiara took great care of our dog Buc-ee in her home while we were out of town. She was super communicative and detailed with her updates, which made us feel really secure with the care she was providing. Buc-we was also recovering from pneumonia at the time and Kiara provided the special care she needed, including oral medication administration and at times spoon feeding. I’d trust her the next time we need a Rover while out of town.”

I had an absolutely wonderful experience boarding my dog, Crystal, with Tayshawn and her daughter from August 28th through September 4th. They did an outstanding job taking care of her and treated Crystal with so much love, attention, and care. It gave me such peace of mind knowing that Crystal was in good hands while I was away. Tayshawn and her daughter were dependable, caring, and made sure Crystal was comfortable and well cared for throughout her entire stay. I truly appreciate everything they did for my girl. I would absolutely trust them with Crystal again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for someone who will treat their pet like part of the family. Thank you both for taking such amazing care of Crystal! 🐾❤️

You da best! Thanks for caring for Blaze as you did, thank you for the daily pics, thank you for being flexible, agreeing to extend Blaze’s stay after unforeseen changes and thank you for your clear responsive communication. I would book Jayla again in a heartbeat and I know Blaze would agree.

Hello when I say this was my first time ever trusting someone with my fur babies it was the best decision. Linda kept me updated with videos and pictures throughout the time they stayed with her, i appreciated that so much. I will book with her again and again.
Ivy and Ruby rarely show excitement when visiting or spending time with humans, they tend to be rather chill or nonchalant. However, when they connect the dots that they are visiting with Lillian, they get excited and I see joy in them that brings me much comfort. Thank you Lilian for creating space for my little girls and for providing them exceptional care.

Mark and his family are the best home away from home for my baby. Quick response time, and very flexible when it comes to drop off and pick up, even when travel plans changed at the last minute. I appreciate the beautiful photos that I receive as well, all showing that Spud is having the best time!

Tommy H.responded quickly and thankfully accommodated a last minute booking. He had an organized approach with intros, drop off, and pickup. He communicated daily with updates. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
