“Tamara was fantastic! Hands down the best sitter I’ve had. I boarded my little guy with her for about 4 days. She sent me pictures and videos and kept me updated throughout on how he was doing. It really put me at ease and let me know he was in great hands. I would 100%recommend.”

“Jayla deserves more than 5 stars. She responded fast, was friendly and attentive to my Prince. I had to have emergency surgery and couldn’t care for Prince. Knowing he was being cared for helped me to be able to focus on healing. I will definitely use Jayla again”

About: My love of dogs began when my mom got a puppy when I was in sixth grade. Now I am a dog mom. I've been the proud mom of a Boston Terrier/Frenchie mix for the past 4 years. I've raised her since she was 3 months old, through potty training, puppy training and intermediate training. I'd love to care for your fur baby too. I'm at home during the day and available to drop in/ walk your fur baby. I am available in the mornings and in the afternoon. I have an unfenced end unit townhouse. There is grass on the side of my house and plenty of unfenced grass in my townhome community. I work from home almost every day of the week so I will have time to take care of your baby during the weekday. I'm able to get out and walk dogs on the weekends. I have an unfenced yard and a fenced play area in front of my house. I have a friendly fur baby who likes to play and thinks she's the leader of the pack.
“Tommy took great care of our pup. Our pup was well fed and given his meds on time. Tommy was kind, pretty flexible and worked with our schedule which was really a huge help to us. Thank you Tommy!”

“This was my first time using the app, and Estela answered all my questions before I booked. When I dropped off Coco, she immediately went to her. She also sent me pictures and kept me updated on how my dog was doing throughout the day and overnight. I appreciate how much she cares about animals, ensuring they return happy. I was pleased to see my dog happy when she came back, and we will definitely use her services again.”

“Incredible! From the first moment, I knew my pup was safe and loved on. Abigail consistently communicated how he was doing and sent pictures that made my day every day! I highly recommend her services. I have booked with Rover before, but this was by far the best experience.”

“Branden took Anubis for a nature walk which is something we have a hard time doing due to work schedules. I love that Anubis was able to spend more time outside exploring under Branden’s care.”

“Best decision we have ever made was using Alli to care for our angel!!! Our pup was immediately welcomed into her family and our dog was so sad to leave her new friends when we picked her up! We got so many photos of our dog enjoying her stay which made our trip so much better. Cannot recommend Alli enough!!!”

“This is Koda second visit with Donna and Brian. I appreciate the care and attention provided. Koda seems to be happy during his visit. I look forward to scheduling another visit during my next trip!”

“Melanie was great! Easy meet and greet to introduce DJ to his other furry friends for the weekend and the hand off was as smooth as I could have asked for! I got plenty of photos and updates throughout the stay so I knew DJ was in good hands.”

“Ms. Kimberly is a delight! She took excellent care of my son and he had so much to tell me about when I picked him up lol. She warmly welcomed us in, explained her set up and everything I needed to know to feel comfortable leaving my pup with her. She also carefully followed the instructions we talked about and went above and beyond my expectations in keeping a safe and clean environment for each animal in her care. I would 200% book with Ms. Kimberly again! Thank you for all the pictures and videos, reassurance for me and my anxious pup, and welcoming us with such a warm inviting smile.”

“Jenna took great care of Cabby, sending lots of pictures and updates on how she was doing! We knew she was in good hands and well taken care of and would definitely have her stay with Jenna again.”

“Vania and her family took great care of my dog Winnie and provided updates/photos often during her stay! They were also so flexible when I experienced travel delays coming home. Winnie came home tired and happy!! Will definitely book with Vania again! :)”

“Patience was absolutely AMAZING!! She cared for my pup like she was family. Peaches acted like she didn’t want to come home. Lol! Patience communicates daily with videos and messages to provide reassurance that your fur baby is great hands. I would highly recommend her and look forward to booking with Patience again in the coming weeks. I cannot thank her enough for her support and the TLC she gave to Peaches.”

“My pup was so spoiled in love and clearly very happy and comfortable! Best Rover stay she’s had yet! 🥰 I highly recommend booking with Melonie. She provided tons of photos, daily updates and was very thorough in our initial meet and greet. Thank you for caring for Gianna, Melonie!!”

“Lia was so attentive to my dog Violet! So great to know she was in such good hands, Lia asked great questions and clearly cared to make Violet comfortable and happy during her stay.”

“This was my second time leaving my rescue dog, Tao, with Rouday, and both experiences have been great. He was understanding of Tao's occasional timidity after being bounced between multiple shelters as a puppy. I also appreciate that he makes dog sitting a family affair, which has been great for Tao's socialization. I'd definitely recommend Rouday to anyone looking for a reliable dog sitter!”

“Elizabeth was my first sitter using Rover and she will be my go-to from now on! She took great care of my love and sent lots of photos while I was away. I'm very grateful to have found Elizabeth!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
