“Alli did a great job caring for my pup. He had a great time with her dogs and her children. She was attentive and sent me pics. And I appreciated her accommodating a last minute change in my schedule. I would definitely use her services again.”

“Abigail took great care of our aging fur baby. We really appreciated the regular updates and photos. We definitely plan to reach out to her for future dogsitting!”

“Lynette and Vincent took awesome care of Bella. She made friends and had a lovely holiday. I would highly recommend their services and look forward to booking them again.”

“I’ve been dragging my feet on leaving this review for one reason alone: I want to keep Elizabeth to myself! She is the best sitter I’ve been able to find on this app, and she is great at communicating both prior to a booking and during as well. My dog comes back happy and tired every time he stays with her and is always so excited to go back to her house. I trust her with my dog every time!”

“Patience was absolutely AMAZING!! She cared for my pup like she was family. Peaches acted like she didn’t want to come home. Lol! Patience communicates daily with videos and messages to provide reassurance that your fur baby is great hands. I would highly recommend her and look forward to booking with Patience again in the coming weeks. I cannot thank her enough for her support and the TLC she gave to Peaches.”

“Jasmine and Stormi were great with Roxy. Roxy was transitioning between dog foods during her stay and Jasmine handled it like a pro. I would highly recommend Jasmine for your next trip.”

“Cant say enough good things about Fathia! She used my go to person when I have to board Thelma the Great. She's attentive, nurturing and treats Thelma like one of the family. I am grateful for her competence and warmth and I always know that Thelma will have a great place to stay when I'm away!”

“Branden took great care of my pup! I was nervous because he has some behavioral issues such as separation anxiety and social anxiety, also his first time ever being away from home. Branden made sure that he was in great hands as he is experienced with dogs with behavioral issues and has experience and knowledge on the breed I have. Super knowledgeable guy! I will definitely rebook with him in the future. Thanks again!!”

“Payton and Graham were fantastic with our dog, Indy. They have a backyard he loved playing in, but even more impressive they were able to get his halter on (he's extremely headshy) and take him on actual walks. Videos they sent showed Indy snuggling with Payton in a way he has only done with us before. Communication was excellent, and Indy clearly loved being there. Not only would we book again with Payton and Graham, I'm doing so right now!”

“Christian was awesome with Hazel! She sent multiple pictures and very quick to respond. She was very accommodating when we needed to change the pick up time. Great experience!”

“Mark and his family were absolutely amazing! The communication was great from start to finish, which really gave me peace of mind. This was Coco’s first time being away from me overnight, and honestly, I wouldn’t have gone if Mark and his family weren’t available. Coco can be full of energy, but I love how they were so patient and accommodating with her. I also really appreciated all the pictures and the positive, loving vibes from the whole family, it truly made a difference. Thank you all so much, and we will definitely see you again!”

“Vania was a great cat sitter. She was very flexile and made sure I was comfortable with everything. As a result, I felt very comfortable leaving my cat with her and I had peace of mind knowing she was taking care of her. My cat seemed very happy and I will definitely book with Vania again.”

“Went out of the country for 2 weeks and my fur babies are not used to kennel life or being on lock down for most of the day. Their Uncle Maurice, Aunt Kelly, and cousins tended to my babies as if they were their own. I was thankful to see the pictures and videos of my fur babies making friends of their kind and being spoiled/loved by the family. This will be our go to home away from home from now on. Much thanks and blessings to you for opening your hearts and home to our fur babies!”

“Mary Hastings was available last minute to board our dog on New Year's Eve for a medical appointment, and we couldn't be more thankful. Our pup loves hanging out with her and always comes back tired and sleepy.”

“Shaela took incredible care of my dog Harvey while I was out of the country! She was extremely attentive and responsive, sending me pictures and keeping me updated. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter.”

“Corey is amazing. We used him for boarding services. He took very great care of Duchess and treated her has his own. He provided a status and pictures of her multiple times per day. I will definitely use his services again! Thank you so much Corey!”

About: Hi! I'm Krista and I genuinely love spending time with dogs and have lots of experience taking care of them. I recently said goodbye to my sweet and quirky 12‑year‑old German Shepherd. Caring for her throughout the years has given me experience with all the different stages from energetic pups to the oldies with mobility challenges and slower routines. My shepherd struggled with anxiety around other dogs, so I’m very familiar with reading body language, creating safe distance, and keeping walks calm and controlled. Throughout the years, I have cared for and spent ample time with doggos belonging to friends and family members and look forward to the opportunity to give others peace of mind when they need to leave their loved ones. Lots of walks, pets, play time and of course, photos/videos for owners! I work from home so there are lots of opportunities to go outside. There are a few parks nearby and lots of grassy areas. I also have dog beds, dishes and plenty of toys! Please note, my building unfortunately has restrictions on the following dog breeds: Akita, Alaskan Malamutes, Chow Chow, Doberman Pinscher, Malamute, Pit Bull Breeds, Presa Canarios, Rottweiler, Staffordshire Terrier and Wolf Dogs. I live in a condo building but there's lots of areas outside to venture around! I do own a crate if needed/preferred. I will bring your dog on many walks and ensure they have lots of play time (for the youngins) and rest (for the oldies) :)

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Suitland
I recently had a last-minute Fourth of July trip, and Tamara graciously accepted my booking request on very short notice. Not only did she care for my oldest dog, but she also welcomed my youngest, who can be a bit of a handful. With patience and kindness, Tamara gave both of my girls exceptional care. She allowed my youngest the freedom to adjust at her own pace and, amazingly, helped her become comfortable around cats for the very first time! I never would have imagined she could calmly interact with one, but Tamara made it happen. Throughout their stay, Tamara maintained excellent communication and sent me plenty of photos and updates, which gave me so much peace of mind. She also has a wonderful family who helped shower my girls with love and attention, making them feel right at home. Tamara is responsible, attentive, compassionate, and truly caring. She goes above and beyond, and she is worth her weight in gold. I would recommend her without hesitation to anyone looking for someone they can trust with their pets. My girls will absolutely be back when I’m in town! ❤️

Brieana and her family were absolutely amazing! We had a last minute cancellation with the person who typically watches Vito and she responded immediately and set up a meet greet. We could sense the comfort Vito felt with the family the second he walked in so we already had an overwhelming feeling of calm going into our weekend. When picking him up he was so happy but also super relaxed and it was clear he had a great stay with them. I couldn’t suggest Brieana enough. She will be at the top of our list for Vito I’m pretty sure he’s found a new best friend 😊.
Thank you again, Lilian, for taking such thoughtful care of Ruby and Ivy while I was away in Washington state. It gave me a great sense of peace knowing they were in a calm, attentive, and caring environment while I traveled. I appreciated the updates, communication, and overall kindness shown throughout their stay. It was clear they were well looked after and treated with patience and care. I would absolutely recommend your services to others looking for a trustworthy caretaker for their pets.

Dionne Is great 😊 My Pups & I love her service that she provided us. She was very caring, loving, and went above and beyond to make sure they felt comfortable. She walked them sent pics and videos and also fed them properly! I WILL MOST DEFINITELY BE REBOOKING WITH HER ❤️ MY ADVICE TO YOU ALL BOOK HER SHES AMAZING COMMUTATION IS AS WELL ‼️‼️‼️

Myesha is such an angel! This is the second time I’ve booked with her almost 6 months apart. When I went for drop off, my Prada instantly became a big puppy. You could tell she remembered her, enjoyed her, and was really happy to be back. That means a lot to me! Even on pick up, Prada was prancing around so happily as if she would see her again. That energy was so genuine and I truly appreciate Myesha. I’m not even sure Prada would let me book with someone else! ♥️.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
