About: My first two rescues were Rottweilers my third and only child is the child that my mom blessed me with. She is a needy, loving girl but high energy so I’ve dealt with everything from couch potato to high Strong lovely I work from home and my height energy baby is used to go out multiple times a day and she is great with any dog she needs. I don’t have a fenced yard, but I am very active walking them in the neighborhood and we will always make time to go out. We are sidekick and we go walking together, dog parks together, but also she has not ever met a dog that she doesn’t love. Even those in the neighborhood that don’t get along with others love her. I do not have kids, but my nieces who are 5 to 9 or around her often so she is great with them, but I also understand those that don’t want their dog around kids so I will not bring them around them if they are uncomfortable.

I have 3 dogs, of which, two have health issues. One has had recent ortho surgery and requires a lot of assistance/medication. The other has heart/blood pressure issues and requires medication/supervision as well. The third does not have health issues, but has behavioral issues and is very stand offish. Despite this, Linda has not only taken great care of them, but the dogs love her! She has also brought in my trash cans, my mail, and picks up dirty dog food bowls to soak in the sink while I am away. She always keeps me updated with detailed messages and photos. She is gentle and great with the animals. I trust her 100% and that is saying a lot as I am VERY particular when it comes to my babies!”

About: I’ve been working closely with dogs since I was four years old. We moved around a lot growing up and I would always helped her readjust to feel safe in new areas. I would get to know neighbors’ and friends’ pets, and with this early life experience, I’m a natural at getting pets to feel comfortable with me. I have experience working with senior dogs and dogs in recovery from injury, as well as dogs who have been rescued or traumatized by scary situations. I am currently in school, so my schedule is extremely flexible. I typically have 1-2 classes per weekday, either in the morning or at night, leaving the majority of my schedule open for pet care. My dog Sky isn't very socialized and tends to be anxious around new people and places, so how quickly she took to Melonie was a great sign. This was also the first time we'd left Sky with anyone outside of family, so that mattered a lot to us. Since some time had passed, Melonie graciously offered to do another meet and greet before this booking. Sky warmed up to her right away again. This time I brought my daughter along, and she felt just as confident in Melonie as I did. We both knew Sky was in good hands.
