âLindsay cared for our 6 cats this past weekend and exceeded our expectations! She was incredibly kind and communicative throughout the whole process. We know our pets were thoroughly cared for and we will definitely book with her again!â

About: I grew up with many pets. For example, Iâve had 6 birds, 3 hamsters, 1 dwarf gerbil, 1 leopard gecko, 2 cats, 2 dogs, and possibly more. I currently have 2 dogs. Both are rescues. Jasper is 2 years old and Iâve had him since he was about a month old if even that, and Raleigh who is 7 now. Iâve had her since she was 2. Aside from the doggy babies, I also currently have a brown anole that I took in from Florida. His name is Tommy and Iâve had him for 4 months now. He was a baby when I found him. I also have 2 fish, Gumball and Penny. I personally believe all animals are babies. Iâve also pet sit for family members before. Iâm currently working part time and Iâm not yet in school. I do have a lot of free time, and because I donât live alone I have people home to help take care of my furry and scaled friends, where as some people may need some extra help that Iâd be able to provide! I was raised right. Iâm respectful, do not cross boundaries, and know better than to disrespect clients (human and animal, of course!) Iâm a big empath, I love animals beyond comprehension. Iâm a vegetarian thatâs working my way to veganism if that can show you how empathetic I am. I also cry while watching Ratatouille. I love walking, I love talking to animals, I treat animals as if they are literal babies because they are just too cute!
âRaven is amazing! She took such good care of our pets, showed up exactly when we expected her to, and her communication was above and beyond. I felt so relaxed during our vacation knowing that they were all being taken care of. Highly recommend!â

âSereniti is so great to my pups and they adore her! Even with my last minute booking, she helped me out so much and I am so appreciative. I know Blu and Louise are in good hands when she is with them!â

About: I have grown up caring for pets my whole life. I had several cats as well as dogs as a child and I learned from a young age to both respect and engage these animals as part of our family in a gentle and loving manner. I believe that taking the time to allow an animal get to know you and accept your energy and presence is most important for quality care. Taking the time to do this allows me to get to know each animal and get a sense of their personality and needs. I have quick reflexes and I am a very active person, so not only will I keep your pet safe, but I will also ensure that they are well-exercised and happy during their outing.
âBessie was absolutely amazing with our fur babies! She communicated so well and made us feel super comfortable leaving our animals in her care. Would 100% book again!â

âAs always, we (and our girls) are always so thankful Aleyah comes and spends time with them while we are away! She is always so thorough, spends time with them, and they are comfortable with her now! We know our little babes are in great hands when she comes on by. Thank you, Aleyah!â

âNyair is the absolute best pet sitter. She watched our cats over Thanksgiving break. We booked 4 days. She was patient, caring, considerate and professional. She is my permanent pet sitter!â

âAll I can say is how blessed I and Rio are to have Caryn in our lives. She is SO attentive! She tires my boy out every time. Carynâs energy is awesome! We absolutely love her!!!!â

I'm skilled in handling pets of all ages, from playful puppies to senior companions who need a gentler touch. My background means I'm confident administering medications, recognizing signs of illness, and providing calm, reassuring care in any situation. Your pet's health and happiness are always my top priority. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine. I work four days a week, which gives me plenty of time and flexibility to provide attentive, reliable care on my days off and before or after work. Whether itâs early morning walks, evening check-ins, or weekend stays, I make sure every pet in my care gets the time, love, and attention they deserve. Whether caring for pets in my clientâs home, I focus on creating a safe, stress-free environment that meets each petâs unique needs. About: I have been a pet owner for over 10 years. I currently have a 55 pound pittbull who I love proving to people that she is the smartest dog they have ever met! She has been taught a list of tricks that people are shocked to see she could do. I also have a cat whos best friend is my dog and they often play with each other throughout the day. I am very patient with animals and have a positive energy which works well when the animals are nervous meeting new people for the first time. Just like my own dog and cat, I would give your extended family members the best care while you are gone at work or on vacation like they were my own. I look forward in working with you!
âSteven did an incredible job taking care of our Siamese cat, Monroe. He was patient with her the first few days as she warmed up to him and then loved on her once she came around. The daily pictures and updates were appreciated and helped ease our mind during our two week trip. We will definitely book with him next time and will include our deaf and blind Great Dane. His love and care for animals is obvious. Thank you Steven!â
âThanks so much Yerlis. Very professional. Dogs took to her immediately. Timely and accommodating. First time on the app and a great impression so far. Will see you soon.â

About: I bring a lifelong, genuine love for animals paired with hands on experience. From dogs and cats to rodents and reptiles, Iâve cared for them all with patience, attentiveness, and love. Growing up with animals shaped my natural instinct to understand their needs, personalities, and little quirks, and over the years Iâve continued that care by looking after pets for friends and family throughout my teens. Whether itâs keeping a routine, giving extra cuddles, or making sure even the smallest details are just right, I treat every pet like theyâre my own. My goal is always to create a safe, happy, and comforting environment so both pets and their owners can feel completely at ease. Iâm currently in college and taking online courses so Iâm able to be home most of the day if necessary. Iâll be able to take them out and give them plenty of love and attention throughout the day. I will follow any all instructions by the owner and follow their usual schedule to make sure the pet is comfortable at all times. Iâll make sure to keep the ownerâs updated and send them pictures so they know theyâre pet is well taken care of!

âPatricia is an excellent sitter. My 125 lb Rottweiler loves her. Patricia was very personable and always on time. She took great attention in learning the things needed for his care. She came three times a day for 8 days to make sure he was taken care of and gave us peace of mind during our trip. I never had to worry because he was in good hands. I love when I can go away and leave him in the same level of care as he gets with my family. I chose right. Thank you Patricia!â

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 6,738 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Cheltenham. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your catsâ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, donât forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Roverâs commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cheltenham. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
