About: I’ve been caring for animals for over 10 years, with experience caring for cats, dogs, bearded dragons, turtles, rabbits, and other small pets. My love for animals eventually led me to work professionally in the pet-care field, starting at a grooming salon in Brentwood, Maryland. I’ve also worked in a veterinary clinic as a Veterinary Technician Assistant, where I gained hands-on experience caring for animals, recognizing changes in their behavior and health, assisting with treatments, and making sure pets feel safe and comfortable. As a lifelong pet owner myself, I understand that every animal has their own personality, routine, and needs. With my veterinary clinic experience, I’m comfortable recognizing changes in behavior or signs that something may not be right and will communicate with you promptly if I have any concerns. I also understand how important it is for pets to feel comfortable with someone new, so I never rush the process and allow them to warm up to me at their own pace.

About: I volunteered with animal defense league for over 5 years as well as fostered several litters of both puppies and kittens. I also have two cats of my own and grew up with farm dogs I work early in the mornings part time, so i will have lots of free time in the afternoon and all the time on the weekends to take care of your friend I have three friendly cats at my home and I am very respectful of any rules that animals or I may have to abide by.

About: Hi, I’m Rubi. If you book with us, both my wife Martha and I will be taking care of your pet. We truly love animals, not just as pets, but as family. Before accepting a new booking, we like to do a meet and greet. This helps make sure your pet feels comfortable with us and also gets along well with our two dogs. It’s important to us that everyone feels safe, calm, and at ease from the beginning. We know how it feels to leave your dog with someone else, because we would only trust people who care for them the same way we do. That’s exactly how we care for every pet that stays with us, like they are our own. We have two dogs at home, Oddie, our 5-year-old Cavapoo, and Toffy, our 15-year-old Bichon Frise and Maltese mix. They’ve taught us patience, attention, and how every dog has their own personality and needs. Your pet will be in a calm, loving home where they are allowed on the couch, can relax, play, and just feel comfortable. We go on walks, spend time with them, and make sure they are never just being watched, they are being truly cared for. I work mornings, and Martha works from home full time, so there is always someone present. Your pet will not be left alone or ignore. We believe in letting dogs be themselves. Every pet adjusts differently to a new environment, and we understand that it can sometimes be a little stressful at first. That’s why we ask about their routines, habits, and preferences, so we can keep things as familiar as possible and reduce that initial stress. Our goal is to make the transition gentle and help them feel safe, understood, and at home. We’ll also send updates and photos, because we know how important that is when you’re away. At the end of the day, we treat your pet the way we would want someone to treat ours, with love, patience, and real attention. I work in the morning at the moment, but Martha works from home full time so she will be available at all times if I am not around. We make sure to understand your pet's routines and habits, as well as any special needs they may have, such as medication or dietary restrictions, and provide plenty of toys and beds for the pets to use.
