About: I’ve always had dogs in my life! I adopted my first dog, Beth, in 2015 when she was just 14 weeks old, and I trained her myself. During the pandemic, I adopted my second dog, Buz, at 8 months old who had aggression and resource guarding issues. Because of them both, I am very watchful of dog behaviors and am not afraid of big barks! I know training basics and am comfortable with dogs of all ages and sizes! I am a teacher in SE DC, so during the school year, my availability is primarily evenings and weekends. During the summer, my availability is very open! I am very attentive and respectful of others homes, dogs, and instructions. Knowing that my own dogs take a minute to warm up to someone new, I will be sure to follow specific routines or guidance given! Your home will remain as it was when I enter!
About: I’ve taken care of several pets since I was young. I had several dogs and cats (sometimes at the same time!). I love walking and playing with dogs, I’ve trained my puppy. I have taken care of big and small dogs. I have also taken care of kittens and adult cats. I have litter trained kittens and played with them often. I currently work full time, but am more than happy to watch your fur baby on my days off! I have days off where I have no plans and would love to spend it with more dogs or with your cat! I have a fenced in yard and two fur babies (dogs) of my own who are friendly and can keep your fur baby company. I am use to watching other people’s fur babies in a 24 hour care setting.
“Thanks so much Yerlis. Very professional. Dogs took to her immediately. Timely and accommodating. First time on the app and a great impression so far. Will see you soon.”

About: My partner and I work together to provide reliable and attentive house sitting and pet care throughout the DMV area. I currently work part-time as a concierge, which has strengthened my professionalism, attention to detail, and respect for building security and residents’ privacy. My partner is studying online to become an electrician, which gives him a flexible schedule and a strong sense of responsibility and problem-solving. We also have a cat of our own, so we understand the importance of routine, litter care, enrichment, and recognizing subtle changes in behavior. Caring for animals in their home requires patience and attentiveness, and we take that seriously. Together, we have experience caring for dogs and cats of various sizes, ages, and temperaments. Working as a team allows us to provide consistent supervision, maintain routines, and ensure pets feel comfortable and secure while their owners are away. We are comfortable with: • Small to large dogs • Senior pets • Multiple-pet households • Following detailed feeding and care schedules We prioritize clear communication, cleanliness, and maintaining a calm, secure environment at all times. Our goal is to provide dependable care so you can travel with peace of mind. Pet care fits naturally into our routine. I work some night concierge shifts, which gives me flexibility during the day to maintain feeding schedules, walks, and check-ins. Spending time outdoors with pets is a great balance after overnight work, and I enjoy being active with them. My partner studies in the evenings, so we are both structured and routine-oriented. Having pets in our care fits well with our schedule, as we prioritize consistency, fresh air, and daily activity. Because of our schedule flexibility, we are able to accommodate morning, afternoon, and evening care while ensuring pets receive attentive and reliable supervision. “Megan you did so well with Jesse in a short amount of time. I really appreciate how you just jumped in and started walking him right away without being scared of what he would do or how he would react to you.He really enjoys your daughters and the endless playtime they give him. Thanks so much!!!”

About: As a lifelong animal lover with hands-on experience raising and training a Cocker Spaniel, a Pitbull Terrier, and a Rottweiler from puppyhood into their senior years, my goal is to provide patient and dependable care tailored to your pet's unique personality. Whether they need playtime, walks, cuddles, or just a calm place to stay, they will always feel safe, loved, and cozy while in my care. I currently work full-time in Alexandria, VA, but I work remotely on Mondays and Wednesdays. I do have open availability on weekends, and I am available to board throughout the weekend into Monday. My care is tailored to the individual needs of every animal. My apartment complex is incredibly pet-friendly with a large area right outside my unit for long walks and playtime. We also have a grooming station in case your fur baby needs a little TLC before going home. As an active young adult and someone familiar with the challenges of the puppy years - I am also available to walk dogs as frequently as needed. I also have no problem administering medication or patiently supporting elderly or special needs animals.
About: From a young age, I've had a deep-rooted passion for caring for animals, particularly dogs and cats. This love has grown over the years, leading me to a fulfilling role at a veterinary clinic. In my position, I am dedicated to ensuring that your beloved pets receive the highest standard of care. I meticulously manage their vaccination schedules and regularly monitor their overall health, providing peace of mind to pet owners. Each day, I strive to create a safe and nurturing environment where pets feel comfortable, promoting their well-being and happiness. I am currently working full-time at a veterinary clinic in Washington, DC. I work four days a week and have three days off. My off days vary each week, but I receive my schedule a month in advance, so I always know when I am working. I have a friendly dog that will keep your babies company. He is playful and loves to play tug of war with other dogs. I will make sure your baby is well taken care of and loved. I will treat them like my own.
“We just got our puppy and had to leave for a wedding so we decided to book with Rover. Savannah was great with our puppy and made sure he received love throughout the day!”

About: Hi! My name is Anjelica. I am a dog person and a cat person but if I am to be honest I have gotten a huge soft spot for cats since having 2 of my own. I have pet sit for people many times over the past couple of years, cats and dogs. Whether it involved me going to their house, walking them, or having them come to my house for a couple of hours. I have a car so I am able to drive to wherever I’m needed and am available most days! Like I said you can trust me with your fur baby. I am particular with how I feed my own cats so I understand certain routines that may be requested when it comes to watching other people’s pets!😄 I am available to provide pet care throughout the week (M-F) 10am-7:30pm. If you would like me to provide pet care more than once throughout the day or week I just ask that you provide enough detail and clear communication I want to provide the best care for the pets. I ask the owner(s) about anything I should specifically do or not do, how often should I walk them, when their feeding times are, etc. I just make sure I have all the necessary info so the pet can be taken care of properly and safely and then it’s time for belly rubs!
About: I bring a lifelong, genuine love for animals paired with hands on experience. From dogs and cats to rodents and reptiles, I’ve cared for them all with patience, attentiveness, and love. Growing up with animals shaped my natural instinct to understand their needs, personalities, and little quirks, and over the years I’ve continued that care by looking after pets for friends and family throughout my teens. Whether it’s keeping a routine, giving extra cuddles, or making sure even the smallest details are just right, I treat every pet like they’re my own. My goal is always to create a safe, happy, and comforting environment so both pets and their owners can feel completely at ease. I’m currently in college and taking online courses so I’m able to be home most of the day if necessary. I’ll be able to take them out and give them plenty of love and attention throughout the day. I will follow any all instructions by the owner and follow their usual schedule to make sure the pet is comfortable at all times. I’ll make sure to keep the owner’s updated and send them pictures so they know they’re pet is well taken care of!
“Mikeala is a wonderful kitty sitter. She genuinely likes and cares for the cats and spends time with them. This was my 3rd booking with her, and will be my future sitter as long as possible.”

“Nyair treats my cat like her own pet. She's patient with him and he likes her. He doesn't like hardly anyone or come out when strangers come by but she and he have become bffs.”

She really went above and beyond taking care of my cat. I got thoughtful updates, photos, and could tell my cat was genuinely comfortable and cared for the whole time. It made being away so much less stressful. I came home to a happy cat and everything in great shape. I’d absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
