“WE WERE TURNED AWAY BY SOOOO MANY SITTERS... I checked the schedule of every sitter before making contact to ensure that they were available. I made contact with at least 10 sitters and got "I'm out of town" or no response at all. The issue was my dog was asked not to return to a commercial kennel "Muddy Paws." There was no violence or aggressive behavior, just anxiety shown by barking, howling, tipping food, and water. But all of this is in Ash's bio, and finally, someone was real enough to tell me. "After reading your dogs bio, I don't feel comfortable with him." So I gave up and started to cancel a much needed family vacation. Then I got a small sign and tried Lindsay. She was the only one who asked, "What happened at Muddy Paws?". From there, we exchanged texts, and she asked if we could have a meet and greet that day. We had a wonderful meet and greet, and she took Ash for our vacation. And from there, we were thoroughly impressed. We got pictures, videos, and text messages. My wife actually got a little jealous due to how comfortable Ash looked and smiled in every picture. Plus, he found a new best friend in her dog, Remi. Now, if you are curious to know how Ash did, I highly recommend you ask Lindsay. She even went as far as to write something the other sitters could read that would educate them on Ash's behavior. About: I’ve always had dogs in my life! I adopted my first dog, Beth, in 2015 when she was just 14 weeks old! Through her, I learned what it means to make sacrifices for others while also loving the process! She was very easy to train on my own, but sometimes her intelligence causes her to be mischievous! During the pandemic, I adopted my second dog, Buz at 8 months old. Unfortunately, he was a stray and came with severe resource guarding leading to numerous fights with Beth. Because of this, I put him in multiple rounds of training and learned for myself what it means to support dogs through and watch for triggers dealing with aggression. Because of them both, I am very watchful of dog behaviors and am not afraid of big barks! If I could, I’d have many more dogs! I am a teacher in SE DC, so during the school year, my availability is primarily evenings and weekends. During the summer, my availability is very open! In 2019, My daughter & I added a new addition to our family which is known as Our Chihuahua Mellow 🎀! With that being said, I have experience with pups ranging in Age, Breed & Size. I work part-time , so I have plenty of time to care for your pups. I’d prefer any bookings with atleast a 2-3 day notice so I can adjust my schedule and take care of your fur babies to the best of my abilities! 🐶 I have a Fenced in backyard that allows the dogs to play on a Safe & confined space. Buddy passed away two years ago and it has been difficult moving on without him.I am looking for opportunities to dogsit for companionship and an excuse to be more active. I have dogsat for family many times and have experience caring for a range of ages and breeds. I am most familiar with caring for senior dogs. I work fully remote and will be able to be with your baby throughout the day. Please consider me you new sitter! Pet care fits into my daily routine, since I work from home, I’m able to take care of the dog during the day and night. I typically wake up pretty early and keep a regimented schedule throughout the day. I make sure the dog is walked. I make sure that I spend a little time playing with them if they’re older dogs and I spend a little time rubbing them or petting them. Some dogs don’t like all of that so you really have to pay attention to what type of dog you’re getting. Luckily I love all dogs so it’s all fun for me.

About: I’m an experienced dog owner with 8+ years of hands-on experience. I currently have two dogs that I trained myself and I grew up with a small terrier mix so I’m very comfortable with both large and small breeds. I am active and I work full time remote. So I’m able to be around throughout the day to stay on top of routines and give consistent care. I am a remote full time so I’m home throughout the day and I’m able to maintain a routine for my dogs and any dogs u welcome into my home. My two dogs are very friendly and socialize with dogs of all sizes. They’re fully housetrained and have a calm, respectful temperament. They do not get on the furniture and follow routine very well. I live in a large walkable neighborhood with plenty of space for daily walks plus access to a dog park, where the dogs can play safely and freely. I keep my dogs up-to-date on vaccine, vet visits and flea tick prevention and I expect the same for any dog that I host - to ensure a safe clean environment for everyone.

About: I've owned cats, dogs, and even guinei pigs the majority of my life. I've had a total of 4 dogs and 12 cats during my life. I'm patient, caring, fun, and an outstanding friend! I've cared for dogs with special grooming needs, exercise needs, and varying quirks. I'm available most what's, except for Tuesday and Thursday, but can make time on those days if needed. I'm always available on those days after 8 though :-). By nature, I'm very organized and timely. I pride myself on it, and always will. About: Hello there! My name is Romon, you can also call me Griz. I suppose my friends see me as the momma or papa bear of the group haha. Anyway I've been taking care of my friend's, family's, and of course personal 'furry best friends'. I have a background in personal training and fitness. Never really ran into a dog that didn't like or respect me at least after the first couple treats or games I was able to play with them. Recently lost two friends one moved away the other, Sasha; a poodle mix of 12 years, passed away I was luckily able to spend more time with her during 2020 before she had to go. Her memories are still with me and I know many are back to work and wish they could spend more time with their newest pups. We can work together to make sure they're, well taken care of, and I just wanted to help out and lessen the load of watching over these wonderful epitomes of joy and energy. I've walked, sitted, played with, slept besides, and even cleaned up after all sorts of dogs from puppyhood to very senior dogs, 10lbs to 100+lbs believe it or not, can't seem to get a break from them, which I don't mind! About: I’ve always had dogs in my life! I adopted my first dog, Beth, in 2015 when she was just 14 weeks old! Through her, I learned what it means to make sacrifices for others while also loving the process! She was very easy to train on my own, but sometimes her intelligence causes her to be mischievous! During the pandemic, I adopted my second dog, Buz at 8 months old. Unfortunately, he was a stray and came with severe resource guarding leading to numerous fights with Beth. Because of this, I put him in multiple rounds of training and learned for myself what it means to support dogs through and watch for triggers dealing with aggression. Because of them both, I am very watchful of dog behaviors and am not afraid of big barks! If I could, I’d have many more dogs! I am a teacher in SE DC, so during the school year, my availability is primarily evenings and weekends. During the summer, my availability is very open! I am very attentive and respectful of others homes, dogs, and instructions. Knowing that my own dogs take a minute to warm up to someone knew, I will be sure to follow specific routines or guidance given! Your home will remain as it was when I enter!

“WE WERE TURNED AWAY BY SOOOO MANY SITTERS... I checked the schedule of every sitter before making contact to ensure that they were available. I made contact with at least 10 sitters and got "I'm out of town" or no response at all. The issue was my dog was asked not to return to a commercial kennel "Muddy Paws." There was no violence or aggressive behavior, just anxiety shown by barking, howling, tipping food, and water. But all of this is in Ash's bio, and finally, someone was real enough to tell me. "After reading your dogs bio, I don't feel comfortable with him." So I gave up and started to cancel a much needed family vacation. Then I got a small sign and tried Lindsay. She was the only one who asked, "What happened at Muddy Paws?". From there, we exchanged texts, and she asked if we could have a meet and greet that day. We had a wonderful meet and greet, and she took Ash for our vacation. And from there, we were thoroughly impressed. We got pictures, videos, and text messages. My wife actually got a little jealous due to how comfortable Ash looked and smiled in every picture. Plus, he found a new best friend in her dog, Remi. Now, if you are curious to know how Ash did, I highly recommend you ask Lindsay. She even went as far as to write something the other sitters could read that would educate them on Ash's behavior. About: I am a true Capitol Hill dog lover and I have always had a strong passion for animals, mostly for dogs. I have been caring for dogs since I was child, taking care of my mother’s beloved shitzu. Taking care of her helped me acquire basic canine behavior and taught me the responsibility of taking care of a pet. Most recently I raised my own best friend, Gelato an English Bulldog. I gained my breeder experience with Gelato and cared for her and her 6 puppies, until they were rehomed at 8 months. I enjoy taking long walks, which I consider the ultimate stress reliever and best way to exercise. I have no problem getting my hands dirty. I have 20 years of experience in the customer service field and enjoy striving to provide the best experience to my clients.
