Pet Sitting in Cheltenham

About: I owned a DSH male cat (now deceased) that we affectionately named Sir Peaches. While visiting friends out-of-town, I left Sir Peaches in the care of a commercial pet boarding facility. Upon return, I noticed that Sir Peaches wasn’t behaving like himself. About 2 weeks later, Sir Peaches showed signs of a urinary blockage and was euthanized. I can’t prove it but I suspect he wasn’t properly cared for at that facility. To help with my grieving process, my family and I decided to take on pet boarding to provide pet owners a better and more affordable alternative for boarding their beloved cat or dog. I work from home full-time so there’s always a human companion for your pet. My children either attend school or camp during the day and my husband works outside the home. I may leave the house to run the occasional errand but I don’t intend to leave your pet alone for more than 4 hours. I have a sunroom which your pet can claim as their personal bedroom during their stay. It is large enough for your furry friend to roam around and exercise during its stay or sun bathe near a window. Your pet is free to roam other parts of the house during the daytime but will be required to remain in the sunroom area at nighttime when we all go to bed. Currently own a 4-pound toy poodle name Oreo who is very attached to my hip. Depending on your pet’s mood, they may or may not choose to interact with Oreo. I work from home full-time so I’m able to give your fur baby lots of attention. I walk my dog customers 2-3 times per day. About: I’ve been taking care of animals since I was a young kid! As a young kid (and still now!) - my family, friends and neighbors relied on me to care for their fur babies while they were away. I now have dogs, cats & guinea pigs of my own so I have a lot of experience! I also frequently foster & volunteer for local shelters & rescues to help dogs & cats in need! Animals are my passion & I love them all like they are my own. I’m currently a stay at home mom to my 1 year old daughter, so I am home full time which means your pet will be given lots of love & attention during the day during their stay with us. I try to be as flexible & accommodating as possible! I have a large fenced in yard & two friendly resident dogs (Remi & Chance) to keep your dog company, if they like playing with other dogs. I also have separate dog-friendly rooms with TVs (Petflix!) for dogs that prefer to be alone and I also have kennels (small & large) for dogs that are used to being kept in a kennel for bed and rest times, so bringing your dog’s kennel from home is optional.

IF anything were to go wrong, you can trust that I will responsibly act in you and your pets' best interest. I have cared for over 35 families' and I have and will always provide dedicated and detailed service. I respect your home, your rules, and of course, your animals. Rover is my full-time job, so thankfully I am completely available to be friendly company for your furry (or maybe hairless) friends! I only ever leave the house 1-3 hours at a time for meals or errands. If I need to be gone longer, I will always check-in with pet parents, as your pets' needs come first! I am in the Air National Guard, so I have mandatory drill weekends; but I have marked those dates as unavailable on my calendar, so that should not pose a problem. About my rates: my rates are based off the wage I should be paid for my level of expertise - for a full day of work - as I am providing overnight care + staying in the home almost all day. They must also take into account the 20% Rover takes out of my paycheck + the taxes I have to pay on my income. I will fulfill all of your furry friends’ needs and wants! I want to keep your pups' routine the same, so they feel some sense of normalcy while you're gone. If you could please leave instructions on the daily care you would like me to provide: feeding/potty schedules, commands, what your pets like/dislike, etc. on paper or through messages, I would highly appreciate that! I am also experienced in reading dog and cat body language. If they have boundaries: no touching, no fast movements, don't like being pet in certain places -- I am skilled at reading and respecting those boundaries. If your pet does have boundaries like these, it's much better to let me know in advance though!

About: I had a black lab growing up and now I have a 7lb chihuahua named Chloe who is super chill, harmless who keeps to herself. She acts more like a cat. I've dog sat for friends in the past as well as been a dog walker for neighbors. I work from home and have been for years so I'm pretty flexible. I may only leave to run errands but I am usually not gone for long periods of time. I walk my dog 3X a day, we take actual walks. She is getting old and doesn't like to be out much, but I really do enjoy the outdoors. My dog roams free when I'm home. I usually crate her and will crate your dog as well if I step out. I live in a large community with plenty of walking space. I have two kids, 10 and 14 who love dogs as well, but I'm responsible for walking and taking care of the dogs. My son is the one who really likes to play with other dogs because Chloe is not a playful, fetching type of dog. I've used Rover myself a couple of times when I was out of town.

About: I've grown up caring for a dog. I have a boxer. His name is Coupe DeVille. I became more responsible for providing most of his care as I got older. My parent entrusted me with ensure that he was walked and feed daily. Also, will in school I participated in the therapeutic dog program and horse program. Pet care is in my DNA. While working in the programs, I groomed both dogs and horses cleaned the staples and rode the horses from time to time. I also spent time training the horse and getting familiar with their temperament and personalities. I really enjoy taking care of him and would love to spread my love for animals by providing enthusiastic walks for others dogs. For an exceptional walk...chose D!

About: As a pet owner myself, I bring a unique level of compassion and care to pet sitting. I’m pawsitive your pet will feel right at home with me and my 10-year old toy poodle, Toby. From trails to parks, we’ll enjoy long walks spending time outdoors, and then relax inside, curled up on the couch. I work in-person, full-time; however, I’m available on weekends (Friday nights, Saturday/Sunday all day) and can be flexible during the week after 5:30 pm.
