“I cannot say enough wonderful things about Zulma. From the moment I walked into her house she made me feel completely at ease about leaving my dogs in her care. She asked thoughtful questions about their routines and treated them as if they were her own. Throughout my time away, she provided regular photos and videos, that brought me so much peace of mind. It was clear they were happy, well cared for and completely comfortable with her. I was able to actually enjoy my trip knowing they were in capable hands. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, responsible, and generally caring I will highly recommend Zulma. I’m so grateful to have found her.”

“As tempting as it is to gatekeep Miss Kimberly..CAN’T DO IT SHE IS AMAZING! After my Rover sitter canceled on me last minute, I was scrambling to find a good quality sitter for Roman. Immediately I was welcomed with open arms by Miss Kimberly. She really made it feel like a family member was taking care of my dog. She is very attentive, kept me updated daily multiple times a day, and was very thorough with explaining to me every detail of what his experience will be while he stayed with her & safety precautions she takes. They have a beautiful yard and plenty of space in their home for my house hippo. Roman immediately bonded with her husband too, who was also very welcoming and kind. “Brian and Carly were such great stewards of our pup, and I would 100% recommend them. Not only do they personally have a good vibe but they have a dog, Doc, that was friendly and non-aggressive, who was a great playmate for our dog. Their home is well equipped for hosting. And Brian sent us the cutest pictures that calmed our minds as first-time Rovers. I know I relied on reviews to book and I would definitely recommend them.”

“This was our first Rover experience and Kelly and Maurice made it easy. They assured us the Bizzy was going to be fine and they didn’t disappoint. “Megan is a wonderful person and caretaker of my cat Milo. I had to travel for work suddenly and she accommodated my inconvenient schedule and delayed return home, going out of her way to place Milo in cat boarding near my home. Megan was wonderful with my shy cat and sent pictures and commentary that eased my mind knowing that Milo was doing so well surrounded by Megan and her loving family. I trust Megan hands down and will certainly seek her out again. I cannot sing her praises loud enough!”

“Gennevieve was the best babysitter for my Ophelia! She sent pictures everyday, let me know how she was doing. Her home was clean and she had one kitty so my kitty had a friend! I would definitely book her again on the future!!”

About: I have been around a variety of animals my entire life! Currently we have a 2 year old Newfoundland. We love the big and fluffy dogs. Winston loves making new friends to play with. We have a large fenced in Yard (5 foot tall fence). I have raised huskies for 12 years, so I have experience with the energetic, hyper active dog breeds. I also have experience with many other animals as I have had them as pets previously (cats, lizards, ferrets, rats, hamsters, birds). I prefer to pet sit for only one family at a time. This is for your pets safety as well as my dogs. I was a vet tech for 12 years. I am comfortable giving medications (oral, injection, topical, eye drops). I have experience with young and older dogs. Typically first potty break is around 6am and bedtime around 9pm. During the day dogs can go outside every few hours as needed. I currently primarily telework 3 days a week, and go in person to the office 2 days a week. Dogs are welcome in the home office and will get let out throughout the day. When I have to go in person, dogs are kenneled. My in person days are typically 9 hour days. Dogs are fed twice a day and sepetate from one another. Food bowls are not left out during the day. There is always access to fresh water. Dogs sleep in the bedroom with us at night. The back yard is fully fenced in (15 steps down). I also have a ti-out in the front yard for senior dogs who are not good with stairs. The kitchen and living room area are baby gated off. Gates are only shut when needed. Otherwise dogs have full access to 1st and 2nd floor. Winston is very friendly and loves them company of other dogs (playing or lounging togeher).

“Heather did an amazing job of taking care of our three elderly cats. She was able to give them all the medications they needed, clean up after them and play with them every day. Thank you so much, and our kitties thank you too!”

“Vivi helped me on short notice! She exhibited genuine concern for my animals and was quick to communicate. I truly appreciate her caring and confidence. I have no doubts that I will use her in the future.”

“Loved having Aja as our pet sitter! She is so nicely and communication with us was exceptional. She even went above and was willing to help us out and come back to our home after a visit when a friend accidentally locked our cat in a room. Can’t wait to use Aja again!”

“She really went above and beyond taking care of my cat. I got thoughtful updates, photos, and could tell my cat was genuinely comfortable and cared for the whole time. It made being away so much less stressful. I came home to a happy cat and everything in great shape. I’d absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter.”

About: I’ve always had dogs in my life! I adopted my first dog, Beth, in 2015 when she was just 14 weeks old! Through her, I learned what it means to make sacrifices for others while also loving the process! She was very easy to train on my own, but sometimes her intelligence causes her to be mischievous! During the pandemic, I adopted my second dog, Buz at 8 months old. Unfortunately, he was a stray and came with severe resource guarding leading to numerous fights with Beth. Because of this, I put him in multiple rounds of training and learned for myself what it means to support dogs through and watch for triggers dealing with aggression. Because of them both, I am very watchful of dog behaviors and am not afraid of big barks! If I could, I’d have many more dogs! I am a teacher in SE DC, so during the school year, my availability is primarily evenings and weekends. During the summer, my availability is very open! I am very attentive and respectful of others homes, dogs, and instructions. Knowing that my own dogs take a minute to warm up to someone knew, I will be sure to follow specific routines or guidance given! Your home will remain as it was when I enter!
About: I’ve taken care of several pets since I was young. I had several dogs and cats (sometimes at the same time!). I love walking and playing with dogs, I’ve trained my puppy. I have taken care of big and small dogs. I have also taken care of kittens and adult cats. I have litter trained kittens and played with them often. I currently work full time, but am more than happy to watch your fur baby on my days off! I have days off where I have no plans and would love to spend it with more dogs or with your cat! I have a fenced in yard and two fur babies (dogs) of my own who are friendly and can keep your fur baby company. I am use to watching other people’s fur babies in a 24 hour care setting.

About: My partner and I have experience caring for cats with a variety of personalities, from social and playful to shy and independent. We understand that cats rely heavily on routine and a calm environment. During house sitting, we carefully follow feeding schedules, refresh water daily, maintain clean litter boxes, and monitor for any changes in behavior or appetite. We provide companionship based on each cat’s comfort level — whether that means interactive playtime or simply quiet presence and reassurance. We are comfortable administering oral, liquid, and topical medications as directed. We are not able to administer injectable medications. Our goal is to keep your cat relaxed, comfortable, and stress-free while you’re away.

About: Hi my name is Crystal and I am currently a college student majoring in Environmental Science! I have owned and fostered an array of animals including dogs, cats, reptiles, and turtles. I currently live with two cats, one of which has Feline Cerebellar Hypoplasia. I am looking forward to meeting and taking care of your animals :)
About: I love all the dogs. I enjoy playing with them and taking walks. I love long hiking in the parks where me and dogs can be closer to nature. I have always met only great dogs. They all have different personalities and this is something that requires patience and understanding to allow the dog connect with me. However, as big or small the dog can be, it has no difference for me. In my life I had only one time dog biting me and it was when I was a child and was running through the neighbor's property and the dog did his duty and started running after me. He scratched my left leg with his teeth, but it was more of a gentle warning, than a bite. Dogs listen to me very well. Sometimes I get surprised myself how well they respond to me. This is something I would enjoy doing with all my heart Dogs are amazing creatures! Thank you, Oksana

About: I've always had cats. I absolutely adore my cat, Zora. I've had her for a year in December 2023 after losing my prior cat of 15 years to cancer in August 2022. That was the most traumatic experience of my life to say the least. That is her in my profile picture. I had a photoshoot with her when they told me her chemo stopped working. 😔 People are always surprised when their cat comes to me saying, "Wow. My cat doesn't like anyone ever." Animals tend to love me 😁

“I cannot recommend Melissa enough! From the very first booking, she has been reliable, communicative, and incredibly attentive to my dog’s needs. The updates, photos, and videos she sends always give me peace of mind and make it clear that my puppy is not just being watched, he is genuinely being cared for and loved. Archie absolutely adores her and gets excited every time he sees her. She creates a safe, fun, and engaging environment, and it’s obvious that she treats every dog in her care like family. Melissa goes above and beyond to make sure they are happy, comfortable, and well cared for. What truly sets her apart is the extra effort and thoughtfulness she puts into caring for the dogs. For Archie’s first birthday, she hosted a birthday celebration with the other dogs in her care. Seeing him celebrated with treats, friends, and adorable photos was such a great feeling and meant so much to our family. It was one of those moments that reminded me how fortunate we are to have found someone who genuinely loves what she does. If you’re looking for someone who is dependable, trustworthy, responsive, and will care for your dog as if they were her own, look no further. We are so grateful to have found her, and Archie is always excited for his next visit.”

“Latoya was soooo sweet and accommodating. This was my first time leaving my new fur baby with anyone for the work day, and from the moment we arrived we both felt right at home. Star did not want to leave! Thank you so much again Latoya, I can't wait for Star to come back and spend time with you all. <3”
“Aja did everything a dog parent could ask for in caring for our two Bichons while we ran some errands. We loved the updates and photos she sent and took care of one dog’s “accidents” without a complaint. She is a pro and we would not hesitate to recommend her.”

“Max was really nice and good with my dogs, one of my dogs is really nervous around strangers and she was comfortable around him, my dogs seemed happy and relaxed when we picked them up.”

“Great service Buttercup was excited to return to Kimberly for doggy day care! Kimberly provided plenty status updates, pictures and videos of Buttercup throughout the day”

About: Recently married and paying off bills! If you have animal needs, I'm your girl! I've had cats and dogs my whole life. All kinds of breeds-mostly huge ones🤣 husky, chow, labs. I currently swap pet care with a neighbor, so I figured why not sign up for Rover! She said she used to do it, and she enjoyed Rover. It gives me a dopamine boost every time I get to see the fur babies. I'll treat them just as my own. I work from home, so with enough notice, I can make time to make runs out to care of your pets! I am in Temple Hills - very nearby is easiest. I usually immediately let out the dogs or walk the dogs. Then I feed them. While they are eating, I will do whatever needs to be done such as filling water bowls, cleaning up messes, etc. Then once they are done, I give lots of hugs or play depending on the doggie needs. Some dogs just want to sit under my feet and sleep while I'm at the counter or some dogs have all the energy in the world. Cats tend to just be cats 🤣 I had a cat that requires injections, so long as the dog or cat tolerates, I can do shots, oral or topical meds.

“I had a last minute event come up and needed a next day sitter for Coco. Roxsand was very accommodating though it was last minute. She adjusted her schedule for us even though I was at her house at 6am. Roxsand also sent several photos of Coco throughout the day. I'm very appreciative of her time, care and professionalism and Coco looks forward to coming back very soon for more fun! Thank you!”

About: I am considered and called the “Dog Whisperer” amongst my Doggie group and family. I love and take care of dogs and cats as if they were my own kids. I telework and have a very flexible schedule, so I am able to be attentive and available for your fur babies as I am to my own. I am able to make schedule accommodations, if necessary. I offer an intimate and warm family environment when I welcome your babies into my home. They are not treated as if they are in confinement and/or at a dog shelter, but as if they are a part of my family. Although they are free to roam the house, crating will be used if needed. If you are welcoming me in your home whether it’s to drop in or home sit, I am here to see fit that I continue the same patterns of the schedule and routine and to express the love you give your babies as if you were here.
“My baby Titan had a great time with TayShawn and her family. He was all tuckered out when he got home from playing. I would definitely use her again. Thank you for loving on our baby like one of your own”

“Anthony was awesome and Bruno definitely enjoyed his stay. Anthony was very personable and made my wife and me instantly comfortable. Bruno made a couple of new friends with Anthony's dogs, and I could tell by the excitement and the tail wagging that he was enjoying his time there. As long as Anthony is available, we definitely plan on making this a long term situation.”

“Elizabeth is extremely generous with her time, and by the end of the second day, my pup had settled in quite nicely. She's a very knowledgeable dog owner, and her own pup is extremely sweet. Her place is very pet-friendly, so I have full confidence they're safe there. My pup had plenty of walks/outside time and even got a doggy massage from Elizabeth, which I know he loved!”

I currently work full-time Monday through Thursday from 4 PM–12 AM, so on those days I’m available for morning and noon visits, walks, drop-ins, feedings, potty breaks, and quality playtime before heading to work. Friday through Sunday, I have open availability and can accommodate morning, afternoon, evening, and nighttime care as needed. I always try to be flexible and communicate clearly with pet parents so I can provide the best care possible for each dog’s routine and individual needs. With my years of hands-on experience working with dogs in boarding facilities, shelters, fostering, and animal hospitals, I understand how important reliability, patience, and personalized care are for both pets and owners. When caring for pets in their homes, I always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. I understand that every dog is different, so I tailor my care to each pet’s specific needs, routine, and personality. Whether it’s walks, feeding schedules, playtime, medication, cuddles, or giving extra patience to anxious pets, I make sure your fur baby receives the same love and attention they’re used to at home. During walks and pet sitting visits, I focus on safety, communication, and making sure your pet is happy, exercised, and well cared for every step of the way.

“Corissa is amazing! She made sure Bentley was happy and was super personable. She went out of her way to have a meeting with me before we booked it and made Bentleys safety a top priority.”
“Saraii was a great help to my family and I while I was traveling abroad. She was in constant communication and I felt confident my dogs were well cared for when they were with her.”

About: I enjoy petting and loving on pups. I love Running with them to get their energy out. Also love giving treats as well! So cute I have a dog of my own! Everyday I am with him taking care of him and loving him correctly! It’s truly in my heart! Daily vitamins. Long walks. Lots and lots of toys! Making sure to take care of all the pups needs! I also have my dog trained.

“She's great with Ziggy & Brooklyn! Super responsive, gives frequent updates, & really takes time to care for them, noting changes in bowel movements & even combing them. Highly recommend!”

“Joe was very accommodating and took excellent care of Benji. He kept me updated and made the entire experience worry free. I would highly recommend Joe to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter.”

“Fitz had a wonderful time with Melonie. We found a 2nd home for him and i will truly have a more enjoyable trip knowing Fitz is staying with a wonderful family.”

“Branden was a great sitter for Beac. He was patient and considerate of his wants to sniff excessively since he was in a new environment. He was very friendly and open with me as well. Branden ensured that Beac was exercised well and had a chance to enjoy the environment and scenery around him; which was absolutely beautiful. Branden, THANK YOU!!! We will be repeat customers.”

She has bumped up to my #1 Rover sitter ⭐️”

“Matt and Kelly (and their sweet daughter!) took great care of Robbin while I was away! They took her on plenty of walks and runs and I received pictures while I was away which was very much appreciated.”

“Lillian's home was a perfect set up for Betsy - puppy sleepover! Big backyard to run around in, with a tall fence and a couple of new friends. My kids watched the Betsy videos Lillian sent us over and over through the weekend. The next time we need a place for Betsy to stay, we will definitely first check to see if Lillian is available!”

“Elizabeth cared for our pup for the first time on our longest period away from her during an international trip. We never had to worry or wonder how she was because of how consistently Elizabeth kept us in the loop. We are so thankful we found her, she took amazing care of our baby!”

“Dasia was fantastic again! It’s so great to find someone you feel comfortable to watch your pet. Dasia provided updates and pictures throughout the stay. She was amazing.”

“Joseph was very communicative and shared pictures of our pups with us daily. He followed all directions we gave him and made sure our pups feel at home under his care. I would recommend Joseph as a pet sitter and would entrust him with watching our pups again in the future. Thanks for taking care of our babies!”

“Kelly did such a great job hosting Buggy! Buggy wasn’t feeling the best and had trouble eating but Kelly did an excellent job and gave me regular updates and photos so I knew she was in good hands.”
“WE WERE TURNED AWAY BY SOOOO MANY SITTERS... I checked the schedule of every sitter before making contact to ensure that they were available. I made contact with at least 10 sitters and got "I'm out of town" or no response at all. The issue was my dog was asked not to return to a commercial kennel "Muddy Paws." There was no violence or aggressive behavior, just anxiety shown by barking, howling, tipping food, and water. But all of this is in Ash's bio, and finally, someone was real enough to tell me. "After reading your dogs bio, I don't feel comfortable with him." So I gave up and started to cancel a much needed family vacation. Then I got a small sign and tried Lindsay. She was the only one who asked, "What happened at Muddy Paws?". From there, we exchanged texts, and she asked if we could have a meet and greet that day. We had a wonderful meet and greet, and she took Ash for our vacation. And from there, we were thoroughly impressed. We got pictures, videos, and text messages. My wife actually got a little jealous due to how comfortable Ash looked and smiled in every picture. Plus, he found a new best friend in her dog, Remi. Now, if you are curious to know how Ash did, I highly recommend you ask Lindsay. She even went as far as to write something the other sitters could read that would educate them on Ash's behavior. And we appreciate that so much. BUT AS LONG AS LINDSAY IS A SITTER, ASH DOES NOT HAVE ANY OTHER SITTERS. THANKS YOU, Lindsay, from the entire Jones family.”

About: I am a true Capitol Hill dog lover and I have always had a strong passion for animals, mostly for dogs. I have been caring for dogs since I was child, taking care of my mother’s beloved shitzu. Taking care of her helped me acquire basic canine behavior and taught me the responsibility of taking care of a pet. Most recently I raised my own best friend, Gelato an English Bulldog. I gained my breeder experience with Gelato and cared for her and her 6 puppies, until they were rehomed at 8 months. I enjoy taking long walks, which I consider the ultimate stress reliever and best way to exercise. I have no problem getting my hands dirty. I have 20 years of experience in the customer service field and enjoy striving to provide the best experience to my clients. In my personal time I am spending time with my 2 little girls teaching them how to play sports, and of course how to be loving pet owners. Thank you for taking the time to visit my page! I’m currently working part time and will be available to walk most pets during early mornings hours during the week and mid day and evenings during the weekend. I definitely would like to know your pets temperament, and what might scare them. I know they will feel most comfortable at home but if they are with me, I’d like to keep a calm, pet friendly setting for them to be comfortable in.
“Tommy was excellent. I had to leave last minute for a work trip and he was more than happy to pick up Goggins. We messaged and met before the days agreed on. I was stressed about work and making sure Goggins was going to a safe place Tommy reassured me he got everything taken care of. He would send me pictures and updates. He dropped Goggins off with everything I gave him and it was an overall great experience. Oh, and it was my first time using Rover! I will definitely rebook with Tommy!”

“Vania and her family are wonderful pet sitters and pet friends. Gaby loves hanging out with everyone and Vania is very responsive and cares a lot about her duties as a caregiver.”

“Last minute we need a sitter and Adiyah came through in the clutch. Moses and Mercy both came back home happy. We received daily photos and updates of how they were doing which was reassuring. We will be back!”
