“Michaela is a wonderful person. She took exceptional care of my doggy, Peppy! He had a fun day with her! She texted me when she was on her way, arrived on time, and followed all of my detailed directions. I am so proud of how well he did too. Before her first day caring for him, she met me and I discussed everything with her. I could tell she cared. She took initiative on wanting to learn everything about him and asked great questions. We even went for a little walk. Watching her interact with Peppy made me feel very safe and confident. Thank you so much for taking such great care of my baby bear. He is excited to spend time with you again soon 🤎🐾”

“Pamela is absolutely wonderful!! The pups absolutely love her, she is extremely knowledgeable and you can tell she really cares about animals. She went above and beyond to make sure the pups were well taken care of, we have three with one recovering from major surgery so no small task!”

“Ana is always super prompt and professional. She’s kind and thorough in her communication, both of which seem to spill over into how she cares for pets. Always love booking with her :)”

About: Ive grown up with dogs since I was 4 years old and had independently trained them on my own. I’m a BIG animal lover cats AND dogs of all sorts. Any pet sitting/walking endeavors you seek I am more than happy to help out especially with the current season of summer travelling In currently on summer break from college with full access to a car. My major plans for the summer which includes classes and travelling had recently concluded, so that leaves me with full availability throughout the rest of the summer I train clear boundaries within the home (no wandering in the kitchen) and remain all food items and tools off the floor. I also keep various toys such as Kongs and puzzles to keep my dog stimulated indoors. I’m also pretty active myself so most of the time I like to go on walks
“Rachel is fantastic! Punctual and communicative, plus you can tell she really connects with animals. I rebooked Rachel for another check-in almost immediately - when you've found a good Rover, you can tell, and Rachel is certainly top tier. Thanks Rachel!”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my extensive experience and passion for animal care. Leveraging my experience from working in a veterinary hospital, I am vigilant in monitoring their health, always on the lookout for any signs of discomfort or distress. The safety and happiness of the animals in my care are of utmost importance, and I strive to create a nurturing environment where they feel loved and attended to.
“Nicole took great care of my cat while I was out of town. She is reliable and trustworthy. Highly recommend and hope to work with her again next time I'm away!”

“Sharon took such good care of my kitties during my weekend trip! Any pet owner knows the anxiety of leaving your pets with a sitter, but after the first night I knew they were in good hands. I loved receiving her updates and my cats seemed so relaxed when I got home. I plan on asking Sharon to watch them again!”

I grew up with dogs all my life and had a Lhasa Apso and Pitbull/Akita mix as my first dogs but now have 2 cats. My boyfriend has his own pet sitting/pet boarding business where I regularly help out. I have 19 years of experience taking care of all kinds of dogs and cats, including, young and senior pets. I have experience in administering oral, ear, and eye medication. Please let me know if you have any additional questions. Looking forward to working with you and building long lasting friendships and partnerships with you and your pet. 🌞 Pet care fits into my schedule very well as I work locally which gives me the option to work remotely or in person. Therefore, I have a flexible schedule to adjust to the times you need help with. The care I provide for the animals that I will be watching while in their house is following the same schedule routine and safety plans the owners have for their own pet. During the meet & greet I love to learn about the owners pets so I can make sure to give the same quality of care that the owners give☺️

About: Four years ago I adopted a corgi named Pippin. When I got him, I did not know his history or what environment he was raised in. He came to me incredibly reactive to other dogs, but over time I was able to train him to handle encounters in a safe manner. For the next few years he will be living with my wife while she attends grad school. I would love to care for your dog until my little guy comes back home. I will provide personalized and attentive care to your pup the way I would for my own Pippin. I work an M-F office job that is 10 minutes from my apartment. My evenings and weekends are completely free, but my job still allows me to come home midday to check on your pup if you need any weekday care. My apartment is incredibly pet friendly. My own dog is living with my wife while she attends grad school so I will be able to provide all the care and attention your dog deserves. My apartment is located near a variety of parks and trails, so they will get some wonderful exercise.
About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with years of hands-on experience walking dogs and providing overnight boarding. Whether your pup enjoys long walks, playtime, or just relaxing with plenty of attention, I’ll make sure they receive the care they deserve. I treat every dog as if they were my own, and I understand how important it is to have someone you can trust with your furry family member. I look forward to meeting you and your pup and providing a fun, safe, and loving experience! I’m currently a full time student with availability most mornings, Tuesdays and Thursdays afternoons. My dogs are away living with my family so I would love to take some time off work to take your dogs on a walk and enjoy some play time with them. I’m unable to offer pet care in my home because my building doesn’t allow dogs. When taking dogs on walks, I always follow each client’s guidelines and preferences. I’m happy to be flexible and tailor each walk to your dog’s routine and needs.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Cabin John
Stephanie stepped in on short notice and took great care of our dog and cat while we were away? She left helpful notes, sent photos and gave us a lot of peace of mind while we were out of town! I would definitely recommend her and will reach out to her when we travel again.

So impressed! I highly recommend Evelyn and Rover. This was my first time using Rover and I was quite cautious. Evelyn allayed all concerns. She came to meet the cats a couple days before I left and they both loved her. She asked poignant questions and made sure she was clear on all my requests. Every day I got pictures of them playing and was able to see when she checked in and when she checked out. She was super responsive before leaving and during my trip. While I was gone there was a water outage in my building that she handled beautifully (including bringing bottled water for the cats.). A+ to Evelyn! I highly recommend her and will be asking for her on future trips. So pleased with the whole Rover experience.
Kae is literally the person I was hoping to find on here! He is kind, thoughtful, conscientious, communicative, and flexible. He is amazing with the animals and is careful to ask questions if he doesn’t understand something. You can always tell a true animal lover when you meet one! Kay goes above and beyond. I am so happy to have found him and trust him 100% to take good care of our animal crew when I’m away!

Fran is wonderful and I felt at ease with her checking in on my cats. She made their treat time more exciting/stimulating by adding toys to a treat maze and always tries to engage my shy kitties. I appreciate that she takes notes and asks good questions about care preferences.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
