About: I love animals and had pets my entire life. As a trusted member of the community, I have grown up in this area and have a full-time healing business supporting people. I bring that same dedication, respect and dependable care to your pets and your home. I look forward to meeting you. I have control over my own schedule with my clients. With a small business, I can plan accordingly to care for your pets and home with dependability. I like to bring a calm, loving, assertive disposition to dogs--bonding with them beginning with good exercise. After which, I allow them to stroll at their own pace and share with them the level of attention they desire. For cats, I respect their space as they wish and am available to play or give them attention. I always look forward to giving any animal cuddles as well as respecting their space.

About: Growing up I’ve always had animal companions in my family’s house. My family has had generations of dogs raised into senior ages full of health. I currently have my buddy Timmy who’s been with me since I was 9, he’s a 14 year old German Shepard, Corgi mix. I’ve been responsible for his senior care for the last 5 years and have learned so much. I’m excited to be a part of your companions life and look forward to working with you! I am currently a full time student at an online university. My schedule is very flexible, so I am certain I can work with you to find consistent times to meet your pets needs. I believe that keeping a pet on a leash while on walks is the best way to protect them. I will ensure that your pet enjoys their time outdoors while being extra safe. I am a vigilant person as well, so I’ll always be on the look out for danger 🫡🫡
“Aida is kind, caring person who has a natural rapport with dogs. She promptly showed up at each appointed walk time and was great at interacting with our dog. She made the whole experience very pleasant and enjoyable. We will certainly hire her again.”
“Whitney is an excellent walker! Sully was immediately excited and eager to meet her and was clearly very happy after the walk. I’ve already booked a second walk with Whitney!”

“We met Nicole for the first time. She's a wonderful young woman, full of positive energy and joy. Our dog Sasha immediately liked and trusted her. It's clear that Nicole has a huge heart for animals. We offered Nicole a full-year schedule right away. ~ Tom”

About: I’ve had seven dogs in total and two cats! I have personally trained three of them and have had all of them from puppies through old age. I have a lot of pet sitting experience and would love to tell you about my love of my dogs and hear about your pets. I work for part-time remotely and I have living at home, so I have plenty of free time to take care of your pets. I am very loving and have many different spaces in your house to accommodate multiple pets at once, and to either let your pets roam free around my house or keep them in their private room. I have a fenced yard and a fenced porch as well, in case they want time outside but on the leash. In addition, there are plenty of trails nearby for walks and it is a very safe pet neighborhood.
“Elliot just started walking Buddy and I can’t say enough nice things. Elliot is very responsible, shares information about their time together and Buddy liked Elliot from the jump!”

About: For as long as I've remembered I've been around animals. I grew up with a yorkie named Paco and shortly after turning 5 I had the chance to help raise my next dog, a shih tzu named Pebbles who we got when she was 11 weeks old. I often cared for them by taking them on walks, giving them baths, feeding them, and overall giving them love and entertainment. In 2019 my family decided to get another dog after Paco passed away. This time we settled on a golden retriever, Terra. Now that I was older I was able to take full responsibility for her. I taught her all the tricks she knows. I'd take her out to swim and walk around the neighborhood. I'd even hand feed her and Pebbles when they would be super picky about their food. I'd also take care of my neighbors cat when she was away on vacation as well as feed the stray cat that often visited my backyard. Aside from cats and dogs I've had many other pets such as birds, hamsters, rabbits, turtles and more. Animals are a very important aspect in my life. My desire to care and love them is extremely strong. I currently have a flexible, mostly remote 9-to-5 job. Because I work from home, my daily routine revolves comfortably around pet care. I love taking breaks between my meetings to give pets some fresh air, a quick walk, or just a good scratch behind the ears. Before work, after work, and throughout the weekends, my schedule is wide open for longer adventures and dedicated playtime. Safety and open communication are my top priorities. When I am visiting or staying at a client's house, my goal is to keep the pet's routine as normal as possible so they feel secure. I always double check that doors, gates, and harnesses are completely secure before and after walks. I am highly respectful of the client's space and make sure to leave the home exactly as I found it. Because my daily schedule is very flexible, I can easily adapt to specific feeding routines or supervision needs. I also love sending plenty of photo updates so owners always have peace of mind!
About: What sets me apart from other sitters is that I genuinely love being around dogs and have years of experience caring for them. I have been a dog owner for 8 years and have cared for both small and large breeds. Both of my dogs were raised from the puppy stage so I also have experience with training including potty and chew training. On top of just caring for my own dogs, I have previously worked as a dog sitter and walker for neighbours and family friends. My responsibilities included taking dogs on long walks, feeding them, making sure they went outside regularly, and, giving them attention while their owners were away. Apart from my experience I am a big dog lover, I am the type of person who walks into a gathering and immediately goes to spend time with the dog. For me it's not just a job, I enjoy spending time with dogs, playing with them keeping them active and giving them attention. Since I am a Uni student I do not see my dog often and I would love to be surrounded by them! I am a university student, we are currently on summer break, however I am taking a summer course from 11:00am - 1:30pm, Monday to Friday. I am free anytime after these hours and on weekends I can do earlier if needed. I live in a townhouse style apartment, It has a balcony on the back with two levels and a grass area on the bottom floor which is fenced. The apartment itself is not too small, there is a living area that is separated from the bedrooms. I believe there are no other dogs in the building.
“Fran took very good care of my puppy. She is a very reliable person.I could see at the end of the weekend that my puppy was very comfortable with her.I will not hesitate to request her services in the future. You can trust Fran!”

“Pamela has been amazing with our 14.5 year old special needs dog Shayna! She is sweet and extremely patient with her, and has made a point of trying to get to know Shayna and her needs. Pamela followed our care instructions to a tee. She was punctual and sent us pictures and texts while visiting Shayna, and even stayed a little longer than the scheduled visit until she was sure Shayna was settled before heading out. We are very pleased with Pamela and look forward to having her take care of Shayna again soon.”

“Meg is the best dog walker I’ve ever had. She provides excellent care, truly loves animals, is very professional, and writes very detailed notes. She anticipates my dogs needs and is always prepared to go above and beyond- like putting her cooling vest on, bringing her water bottle, and rewarding good behavior on walks. I am so sad to no longer have Meg as a walker as I am moving, she will be missed!!!”

“Genevieve is amazing with our dog Louis!! She is super friendly, responsive, and always on time, and she provides helpful details in her reports on every walk. Our dog is BEYOND excited to see her every time she comes to pick him up, which is always the best sign. We highly recommend Genevieve to anyone looking for a dog walker in the area.”

“Graham is great with our dog, Hazel! He takes excellent care of her and is very sensitive to her heart condition. He is professional and always lets me know his estimated time of arrival. Hazel looks very happy on her walks, which Graham adjusts when it is too hot out.”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with years of hands-on experience walking dogs and providing overnight boarding. I know every dog has their own personality and routine, so I take the time to make them feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you’re away. Whether your pup enjoys long walks, playtime, or just relaxing with plenty of attention, I’ll make sure they receive the care they deserve. I treat every dog as if they were my own, and I understand how important it is to have someone you can trust with your furry family member. I look forward to meeting you and your pup and providing a fun, safe, and loving experience! I’m currently a full time student with availability most mornings, Tuesdays and Thursdays afternoons. My dogs are away living with my family so I would love to take some time off work to take your dogs on a walk and enjoy some play time with them. I’m unable to offer pet care in my home because my building doesn’t allow dogs. When taking dogs on walks, I always follow each client’s guidelines and preferences. I’m happy to be flexible and tailor each walk to your dog’s routine and needs.
About: As a dog walker, my specialty is to take pups out into nature. As I've been doing for 10+ years now, my service allows my dogs to grow and learn with each other amongst the sights and sounds of natural neighborhood trails. Offering socialization, training routines, in-depth interaction and lots of physical exercise, when I take dogs out to the trail I treat them as my own. I am typically active Tues-Thurs, with Monday and Friday being flexible. My two services are: -Traditional morning/evening solo walks, 30-60 min (flexible price around $40) - Midday group hikes offering pups the opportunity to get out during the work day for a thorough, active and holistic experience. Hikes are 60 min, complete with additional car ride and cleanup. (flexible price around $55) For the service I offer, any pup that comes along quickly learns the rhythms of our activity. I've been described by friends as somewhat of a dog whisperer, and nothing brings me more joy than developing a mutual understanding between dogs wherein they get to have fun as long as they adhere to clearly established rules and modes of communication.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
