About: Hi everyone, My name is Rachel and I am a huge animal lover who is passionate about providing the best care and companionship for our furry friends. I have been pet sitting for close to 7 years now, through Wag and also with Rover. Experience in administering medicine for both cats and dogs. I grew up with animals, as I had taken care of my own dog-Misia, a coackapoo, for 10 years and my mother with her Havanese dog, Tomo, of 4 years (and on-going!) I lead an active lifestyle and take dogs out for a long walk or find fun ways to play with cats too. I want to make sure I can provide a tailored approach to make sure your pets' needs are met as a photo enthusiast, happy to take pictures and provide an update throughout a boarding and/or a sitting especially. Coming up close to 7 years of being a pet sitter for Wag, Rover and individual clients, I would be honored to be your reliable pet sitter! I will be out of the country starting Sep 6 until mid November. I will have access to internet so if you are looking for services after mid-November, then please do not hesitate to reach out. Thank you 😊 First and foremost what's important is that I understand the client's needs and their instructions on how to take care of their pets. Once you book my service, I would be more than happy to do an in-person meet and greet or a video call. If there are any further instructions (beyond what is listed on the Rover app), then I am happy to provide my personal email address if you would like to e-mail the instructions. These are the steps I take to ensure I can take care of the clients' pets in a safe and trusting environment.
“Sarah came by on short notice and was great with Benji, taking lots of pictures and giving him a longer walk than I probably would have. Huge help while we're adjusting to the new city.”

About: My first "real job" was being a dog walker, where I would walk a cocker spaniel named Gonzo after school for 3 years. Since then I have dog and cat sat for neighbors through the years, both for short weekend trips and for longer multi-week trips requiring me to house sit as well. I fostered my first kitten for a month while in college, and helped foster over 30 cats and kittens during the pandemic since I had a little extra time on my hands. Over the past two years I have been pet/house sitting most months. I have watched everything from one dog or one cat for 4 days, to two cats and a dog for 2.5 weeks. I've watched puppies and kittens from 4 weeks old and on, and dogs and cats as old as 14 years. The actual breeds have been all over the place, but in terms of dog size I've watched everything from small terriers and daschhounds to huge labs and german shepherds. In addition to owning and caring for a goldendoodle for 11 years, I've also done a lot of pet sitting for my parents 6 year old rescue hound/lab mix and 4 year old rescue short-haired cat. While watching your dog(s) or cat(s) I would rearrange my schedule as needed to prioritize giving most of my attention to your pet(s). I work remote and generally have a flexible schedule, so I could feed/walk/care for your pet(s) following whatever schedule they are used to. I don't work on the weekends and would be able to dedicate any needed time on weekends to caring for your pet(s)! I am happy to care for your pet in your home the same way you typically do so that they maintain the same routine. Whether that means letting your dog(s) out in a fenced backyard, taking them for neighborhood or trail walks, going to a dog park, or following standard crate rules. Similarly for cats, I am happy to maintain the same feeding schedule, whether it's wet or dry food, and clean the litter box regularly. And of course, give your pets all the scratches and attention they want!
“Delina was fantastic! Communicative throughout, which I especially appreciated for my pup’s first rover experience, with a photo and thoughtful notes. Will definitely book again!”

Whitney is the best and I’m so thankful I came across her on Rover - She is attentive and demonstrates the utmost care and respect for your fur baby. I only have positive things to say. Highly recommend if you’re looking for someone responsible, responsive, and a great communicator!

Katie was fantastic with my anxious and timid rescue dog! She came over for a meet and greet, and she was very calm and respected my dog’s space. She was quick to respond to my request, and followed my instructions perfectly. I will definitely ask Katie to walk my dog in the future. I highly recommend her!

Jessica did a great job walking our dog Bruno for 3 weeks. She was attentive to Bruno’s personality, behavior, and needs. We did a meet and greet for initial setup and from there she gave me notes for each walk. She took care of a wound that happened and gave daily notes on the wound to ensure it didn’t need further care. She accommodated schedule changes when needed/available for rain. I hope she is available for any future needs.

Can’t recommend Madeline enough. She helped us out with regular weekly walks for my dog. She was always timely and easy to communicate with. She was very attentive to my dog’s needs. He would literally yelp for joy when she arrived he was so excited to see her. I would recommend Madeline in a heartbeat!

I can’t recommend her highly enough. She is a mature, responsible caregiver who clearly takes her role seriously. From the start, I have felt completely comfortable trusting her with my dog. Communication was thoughtful and reliable, and it was obvious that she pays close attention to each dog’s needs.Sonja is experienced, dependable, and genuinely caring.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
