About: I have pet sat for my neighbors since I was 15 years old, professionally so for a collective 8 years. (from childhood to today totalling 21 years) I grew up with at least one dog in my parents household, loved both our family dogs through their senior years and beyond. I am pet cpr/ first aide certified, currently own a 9 year old Grey Domestic short hair cat, Thor, and my 28 year old horse, Riley. I am looking to head back to school for veterinary medicine with focus on large animal sports medicine/orthopedics. Eventually mixed practice too. In the horse world, I have 33 years under my belt, with my godmother introducing me at age 3. I am passionate about pet care, large and small. Most experience with cats, dogs, and horses and looking to expand. From the toy breeds of canine, to the extra large goofs, I enjoy caring for your loved ones as if they were my own. Shy guys? No problem! I take my time letting them get to know me without offense. Need a little extra help on training homework from your professional training team? Currently in the process of signing up to renew my pet cpr and first aid certification. And I hope to start vet med prerequisites online at NoVA Community College. The later I am able to balance with all the attention on your pets. My neighborhood is nearby Scott's Run, Great Falls Park and Riverbend Park here in McLean and Geat Falls, Virginia. If ok with pet parents, I can take them for a walk (one at a time) during in home boarding. We don't have a fenced yard but our neighborhood offers plenty of walk routes. At client's home, I try to keep our walks with in the neighborhood and no socializing due to safety, even if your pup knows a neighbor's pup.

About: I have several years of experience caring for dogs and children. While living in Colorado, I worked as a dog walker and nanny for families with large dogs and young children. Most of the dogs I cared for were medium to large breeds, and my experience ranges from puppies to senior dogs. Since moving to the DC area, I have continued working with dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I also live with a cat at home, so I am comfortable caring for both dogs and cats. I enjoy getting to know each pet’s personality and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I currently have a flexible schedule, which allows me to be available during weekdays and weekends for walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting visits. At this time I am not able to host pets in my home, but I have reliable transportation and am happy to travel for walks, drop-ins, and house sitting. I have a flexible schedule during the week and on weekends, allowing me to accommodate consistent routines as well as last-minute or varying pet care needs. At this time I do not have the space to accommodate pets in my house, but I have transportation to do drop-ins and house calls.

About: I grew up on a farm and I have been caring for pets and animals all my life. I had 6 dogs growing up on the farm and I had to care for most of them. I also have extensive knowledge on caring for puppies and elderly animals. As well as dogs in heat and pregnant. I work from home as I own another business that is completely hands off. So I love to be able to help people with their pets in the meantime. The pets will love the home we allow them to roam unless directed by owner to be in the cage. Also we have a backyard that is nice and fenced so they can poop and play.

About: I've had pets all my life! I grew up with several cats, fish, a rabbit, and a dog, so I have experience with various animals. I've also taken care of guinea pigs for friends. I'll send photos and updates often so you can stay connected with your pet! I am at work during the day but during the week, I am usually available after 5pm. This means I can do evening visits and walks! I like to be active and really enjoy being outdoors :) During weekends, I am usually available for overnight pet sitting if that is something your pet needs! Having a new person around can be stressful, so I will do my best to make sure your pet is comfortable. When caring for a pet in an owner's house, I am very careful to maintain the state of the home. I also communicate with the owners often and send them cute pictures of their pets!

About: I own two cats and regularly take care of my dad‘s dog teddy when he is at work And I take great joy in doing so. I recently graduated from high school and I’m currently between jobs and college so I am available most of the day this may change in the coming months I will make sure anything required for your pet for walks or check-in will be met so they are happy and healthy. My number one priority is to make sure both the client and the pet has everything they need.

About: I’ve spent over 12 years working professionally in veterinary medicine (emergency and critical care, surgery, anesthesia, recovery, and everything in between) and I genuinely love every bit of it. Give me a nervous senior pup, a giant breed who thinks they’re a lapdog, or a dog who just needs a little extra patience, and I’m in my element. I’m comfortable giving medications, caring for senior and special-needs pets, keeping an eye out for anything that seems off, and staying calm and steady with animals who are scared or stressed. To me, making an animal feel safe is just as important as taking care of everything on the checklist. But honestly, my love for animals started long before my career did. I’ve been caring for pets for most of my life, and these days that includes my own Greater Swiss Mountain Dog — so big and giant breeds have a very special place in my heart! I know it’s a big deal to hand your pet over to someone else, and my goal is always to make that handoff feel easy for both of you. Tell me your routine and I’ll follow it to the letter. In return, you’ll get plenty of updates, photos, and probably too many exclamation points, because I really do love this stuff. Whether your pet needs extra patience, medication, a long walk, couch cuddles, or someone who understands that their “weird little thing” is actually very important, I’m here for it. 🐾 I’m currently in graduate school, which gives me flexibility outside of my class hours for walks, drop-ins, evenings, weekends, and house sitting. I’m very comfortable working around established feeding, medication, potty, and exercise schedules (if your dog expects breakfast at 7:02 AM, I understand that 7:15 is simply unacceptable 😂). I’ll always be upfront about my availability before booking so you know exactly what to expect. Safety is always my first priority. With 12 years of veterinary experience, I’m very comfortable reading animal body language, handling nervous or fearful pets, administering medications, and recognizing when something seems different from a pet’s normal behavior. I’m careful with doors, gates, leashes, harnesses, feeding instructions, and any household routines you have in place. When I’m caring for pets in their own home, I want everything to feel as familiar and low-stress as possible. I’ll follow your instructions closely, respect your home, and never force interaction with a pet who needs time or space. If anything concerns me while you’re away, you’ll hear from me — I’d always rather communicate too much than leave you wondering.

About: I'm a reliable and frequent house/plant/cat sitter based in Glover Park with my own car to get from place to place. Can do anything from quick check-ins/feedings to litter box cleanings and cuddles for pets that need extra attention. I have an 11 AM-7 PM full-time job in Shaw, so I typically stop by houses before work, though I can come by after as well. In others' homes, I definitely make a point to be unobtrusive and let pets go about their usual business + get used to me being there before I approach them (unless they're friendly from the jump). I want to be respectful of your home and your pets' space!

About: Hi! My name is Vana and I am a remote worker in DC. I joined this service for some extra money and to meet and play with people's pets! I've taken care of animals all my life, from cats to dogs to guinea pigs to horses. I cared for/owned horses for four years (no big dog is too scary!), have had cats all my life, and had a hyper Aussie and sweet beagle of my own. I can take care of the youngest puppy to the oldest dog and my puppy days certainly hardened me for non-stop playtime and bountiful walks. I know how important pets are to every family and will treat your fur baby as I would my own. Due to my flexible remote/hybrid schedule, I’m available for all-day sitting at your home with frequent potty breaks and walks for a per diem rate, or can do drop-ins throughout the day. I also have overnight availability with advance (3+ days) notice. Thank you! As a hybrid worker, I have a flexible schedule and I am able to schedule my work around pet care. If I house sit then I remain at the house for most of the day and take care of the animals there, making sure to never leave them for more than a few hours. For drop-ins and walking, I make sure to build my daily schedule around those visits. I follow all instructions laid out to me by the owners and make sure the animals get their play while being safe and secure. I make sure to follow potty and food schedules, and ensure dogs get their daily exercise if it’s needed.

About: For as long as I can remember, my family has had pets. I've had the opportunity to love and care for many wonderful animals over the years including geckoes, cats, and dogs, including my current darling cat Artemis. I live in downtown Silver Spring, MD, right by the metro station, so I can get around very easily. I'm used to caring for animals both big dogs and those who require a gentle touch, and I make sure to look after their safety and happiness. About: I’ve had experience with both dogs and cats since I was a toddler! My family has always had Sheltie dogs, and I have always had cats of my own! I have experience as a foster parent to cats and kittens of all sizes. My cat Tater Tot is a foster fail! I also have experience dog and cat sitting for friends over the years, including in home care, dog walking, senior dog care, and puppy care as I raised my own dog, Honey, from just a few months old! I am currently in the midst of starting my own pastry business, so I am extremely flexible as I work through the paperwork and business planning!
