“Sure! Here’s a smoother version of your review that keeps your kind tone: --- Evan is reliable, communicative, and great with my cats. Pagu and Taro always seem happy and relaxed when we return home. It's such a relief knowing they're in good hands when we're away.”

“Three words: peace of mind. Luisa gave us much relief while we were gone because we knew our cat was in great and caring hands. She was very responsive and attentive. She followed the medication and care instructions perfectly. We got a lengthy report every day along with lots of pictures of our happy kitty. We're definitely going to use her services again!”
“Ashley really understands my cat! I love reading her reviews that capture my cats personality and then seeing the photos to match. I can travel without worrying if I know she’s stopping by!”

“Rachel was wonderful! She was friendly, warm, and caring and did a great job watching our two sweet kitties. Great communication and pics sent as well. She will be our go-to moving forward!”

“Ana was a pleasure to work with! She was incredibly responsive and happy to accommodate any last minute changes. She kept me completely updated all the way through on both my pets of course and my apartment. My kittens looked well taken care of and happy. Would absolutely book with her again.”

“Daria was very communicative and went above and beyond in taking care of my cat. My cat is very shy and would often hide but Daria spent extra time making sure she could locate her, check in, and send photos.”

“Brittani was great and visited my cat each day I was away. My shy cat warmed up to her after one visit and she provided awesome detailed messages and lots of pictures each day. Thanks Brittani!”

“I won't repeat all the fantastic things that have already been said about Summar from other reviewers. But here's what I learned about Summar while she cared for our cat: 1) She truly loves animals and understands them extremely well thanks to years of experience. 2) She is extremely professional - a clear communicator, thorough in her work, always follows-up when necessary. 3) She will give you peace of mind (which is priceless!) while you're away from your pet. Overall, Summar took exceptional care of our cat for a week while we were away. I highly recommend her!”

About: I’ve grown up with rescue dogs my entire life. They’ve taught me how to be patient and understanding when it comes to dogs being in new surroundings with new people. Dogs have trauma, reactions, and behaviors similar to humans, but just expressed differently. My own dog is reactive (leash/towards other dogs), so I have learned techniques to lessen her fears. She— along with other dogs that have been around me— have made me an adaptable dog person who will help your dog feel comfortable and supported while you’re not around. Hi, I’m Barbie! I’ve grown up with 45-65lb rescue dogs my entire life. While I have a soft spot for bigger dogs and bully breeds (the more misunderstood in media, the more I love them), However, I adore animals of absolutely every shape, size, and species, and have experience with dogs of all ages/sizes (limited experience with seniors, but would love opportunities to increase my professional experience). My greatest (and favorite) teacher is my own Malinois/Lab mix rescue, Padfoot—an intelligent, high-energy, and dog/leash-reactive fur baby. Because of her, I am fully equipped, patient, and hyper-vigilant when handling dog/leash-reactive/energetic dogs. Whether your dog pulls, barks, or just needs extra personal space (and positive reinforcement)) on a walk, I know how to keep both of us safe and stress-free. I promise to treat your dog(s) with the same passion, love, advocacy, and care, that I give Paggy. If you want a highly reliable and sitter who understands canine body language and deeply respects your dog's unique quirks, let's connect! In the effort to be fully transparent, I’m currently searching for a full-time job. However, I’m here to build genuine, lasting relationships! I fully intend to continue any walking/day-sitting needed on a part-time basis. I can stay at your home for 2-3 hours at a time (multiple times during the day) and walk your dogs one at a time. While I am SO excited for the opportunity to walk 100lb+ dogs, I can only safely walk gentle giants that do not pull. If you have a yard, I will supplement any high-energy dog with enrichment activities and plenty of fetch. I cannot dog sit overnight since I have my own fur baby.
“Victoria and her son communicated in a very timely manner. Photos were sent every visit and if something came up they addressed it with me as well. It was nice to have them as pet sitters and recommend them! Thank you once again!”

“Victoria unfortunately had to deal with my kitty passing away while I was away. She acted quickly and took him to the vet where he could be held until I returned the next day. I am grateful for her help and resolve to do the right thing.”

About: I’ve lived with pets my entire life and they are so dear to me. My family has had multiple cats at all times and a dog and caring for them has always been a joy. This has included several very senior cats over the years (16+ years old!). I am experienced in tending to cat litter boxes, food, water, and play time. I also have experience giving medication orally and topically for cats. I am also experienced in walking dogs and providing food, water, and oral medications. I am a pretty active person, so if your dog needs longer walks I can easily accommodate them! I am a student working on my own schedule, so I am flexible with my availability. Mornings are especially good for pet sitting - I love starting the day with pets. As a cat mom I always want pictures, so I will keep you updated through photos and text. I am also happy to address any incidental messes in the house while I’m looking after your pet.
“Leila took care of our cat Spencer for 3 days and was able to win his love and trust. We greatly appreciated the photos and updates, and will absolutely use her services in the future.”

“Sydney, I can see how much more comfortable he became throughout the week. It’s sweet. I appreciate that you were available and that you spent the time with him that you did. I appreciate that you were consistent with your arrivals. That is so important. It’s been a sincere pleasure receiving your photos. We wish you a great year in school. Thank you!!!”

“Sam was wonderful. We needed someone to take care of our dog on relatively short notice for a cross country trip for the holidays and Sam was not only able to come check on and walk her twice a day but when we unexpectedly needed Luna out of the house for a few days, Sam was able to bring her home as well. Really excellent caretaker, flexible, and we will absolutely keep Sam in mind for all future needs!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Friendship Village
Allison is so thoughtful. She reached out to see if there was anything special for her to do for the cats due to the fireworks. And she is very observant and checks with me when she is not sure of something. And a lot of the pictures she sends are petting my cats at the front door, because they apparently won't let her get to a couch before demanding her pets. Lol.

Claire immediately made me feel at ease leaving my anxious dog and temperamental cat! They responded so well to her, and her patience and kindness were palpable. She was so communicative and responsive to my pets’ needs, I hope I get the pleasure of booking her again!

Lauren was great with my two girls! My kitties warmed up to her, she followed all their care instructions perfectly, and left the place looking exactly as I left it. She sent lots of cute photos and videos, which I loved getting on my trip. I highly recommend Lauren!!!!

Maham watched my cat for 2 weeks while I was on vacation. She did everything I asked and then some! He was well taken care of physically, plus she also made sure he was stimulated and engaged with toys, cat tv, and lots of human interaction. She was in regular touch with updates and photos, and helped clean up when he made a mess. I really appreciate everything!

Victoria was amazing!! She was very communicative with me regarding our girl who had a small cold and was even able to wipe her eye even though she’s very weary of people. She even went above and beyond by vacuuming up a little! I could not recommend Victoria enough. We’re definitely going to be using her as our sitter going forward!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Friendship Village. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
