“Victoria, her son and their friend make a reliable team. The drop in visits were at the time agreed upon, they stayed for the full 30 minutes, fed, played with and cleaned up after the dogs. I’m very satisfied with their care.”

“Karachi's visit today was to get to know our dog a little bit before staying overnight several later this week. She learned her way around the house and was gentle in her interactions with our dog. She asked great questions. We were pleased.”

“Sunny had another wonderful week with Evan. Her energy level can swing from energetic to lazy within a few seconds and Evan can quickly tailor the afternoon walk depending on her mood. And he always makes sure that Sunny feels well rested and cared before finishing his check-in. I can see it so well from the pictures he takes of her 😂”
About: Hi everyone 👋 my name is Jenni and my experience with animals started when I was young. I grew up with dogs all my life and had a Lhasa Apso and Pitbull/Akita mix as my first dogs but now have 2 cats. My boyfriend has his own pet sitting/pet boarding business where I regularly help out. I have 19 years of experience taking care of all kinds of dogs and cats, including, young and senior pets, and bunnies/rabbits. I have experience in administering oral, ear, and eye medication. Please let me know if you have any additional questions. Looking forward to working with you and building long lasting friendships and partnerships with you and your pet. 🌞 Pet care fits into my schedule very well as I work locally which gives me the option to work remotely or in person. Therefore, I have a flexible schedule to adjust to the times you need help with. The care I provide for the animals that I will be watching while in their house is following the same schedule routine and safety plans the owners have for their own pet. During the meet & greet I love to learn about the owners pets so I can make sure to give the same quality of care that the owners give☺️
“Marilyn is an excellent cat sitter who goes above and beyond. She paid very close attention to the instructions that were given for my cat. She attended to everything that I asked her to do. She provided me with detailed updates on my cat. Despite my cat being shy, she managed to get pictures of him that I enjoyed seeing. I was most impressed with the efforts she made to connect with my cat who doesn’t typically respond well to strangers and is very skittish. She seemed very invested in making sure that he was doing reasonably well. I got the impression that she cared for my cat in the same loving way that she cares for her own pets. Her willingness to help on short notice was much appreciated. I would absolutely recommend Marilyn and plan to arrange for her to care for my cat in the future.”

“Daria was super attentive to our energetic boy and shy girl. I appreciate her photos, thorough check-ins, and the ability to tire out our rambunctious little one while also giving attention to our older cat. Great job and would book again!”

“Rachel is fantastic! Punctual and communicative, plus you can tell she really connects with animals. I rebooked Rachel for another check-in almost immediately - when you've found a good Rover, you can tell, and Rachel is certainly top tier. Thanks Rachel!”

“Catherine is very friendly, cleaned up an accident thoroughly that my dog had made when previous care giving fell through from another individual, and communicated promptly. She’s the best! 🩵”

“Leila took care of our cat Spencer for 3 days and was able to win his love and trust. We greatly appreciated the photos and updates, and will absolutely use her services in the future.”

“Victoria was amazing!! She was very communicative with me regarding our girl who had a small cold and was even able to wipe her eye even though she’s very weary of people. She even went above and beyond by vacuuming up a little! I could not recommend Victoria enough. We’re definitely going to be using her as our sitter going forward!”

“Jana was absolutely wonderful! She was very responsive and kind with my shy kitty. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a trusted sitter for their felines!”

“Thank you! Words can’t begin to describe how much I appreciate you going above and beyond with Mimosa - from checking an extra time to making sure he couldn’t chew anything. I especially appreciate you being so flexible when our travel plans got delayed and you needed to keep the keys longer than planned. You are excellent and I can’t wait to book with you again because I know you’ll provide Mimosa with the best care.”

“Mya was a fantastic sitter for our 2 energetic puppies. She stopped by at the agreed upon time and fed them as requested. She sent photos and spent time playing with them. I will definitely use her services again!”

“Elizabeth is my go-to sitter for my fur baby. I can always depend on her to coax him out of a good hiding space and make sure he’s fed while I’m away. She has the patience of a saint where my little man is concerned, and that means something to me.”

About: I’ve taken care of both cats and dogs since I was a little kid and absolutely love both. Also an avid fish lover ! I have a flexible schedule and am committed to providing your pets with the best possible care :) My schedule is very flexible and I can work on short notice if necessary. I rarely need to commute and most of my work is remote. My primary service is dog walking, but whether I work in that context or as a sitter I always treat animals with the respect they deserve. I’m clean and efficient, but I’m also adaptable to the pet and their needs (if they need more or less exercise, a special diet, etc.), very attentive, and keen on good communication with the owner incase of any questions, issues, or cute photos.
“Absolutely wonderful dog walker! They are reliable, caring, and clearly have a genuine love for dogs. What really stands out is their thoughtful communication—they always keep me updated, share helpful details about each walk, and make sure I know how my pup is doing. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing my dog is in such attentive and trustworthy hands. I couldn’t recommend them more highly!”

Vidya is wonderful with our cats, caring and detail-oriented. She has managed to win over the shy one, and the outgoing one has liked her from the start. One cat is diabetic and also eats a special diet, and Vidya has handled these needs with aplomb. Highly recommend!
Salma just had a magic touch with my cats. She is so thorough in her questions. She flagged even the slightest issue like a leaky water fountain right away. And she was kind enough to add an extra day to her visit when my flight got in late, and my cats were all the more delighted to have some extra time with her. She’ll be in my regular sitter rotation!

Allison did a great job with our cat! She did a visit beforehand with us and took copious notes on all of our kitty’s eccentricities. Once we were gone, she was exactly on time for her visits, checked in and checked out, and attended to all of our kitty’s needs. She’s clearly very experienced/responsible and was lovely to work with! Highly recommend.

Audrey was truly amazing and went above and beyond to take excellent care of Archie. She went to check on him after a storm, and also stopped by due to an issue at my house with no questions asked. Archie seemed happy, relaxed, and had a clean litter box when I got home. I will absolutely use her again!!

Kayla so last minute was able to take care of our cat on such short notice. She also had so much going on yet she made the time to care for the little guy. We really appreciate Kayla for being so flexible with our schedule changes and taking good care of our Domino! Really appreciated her always checking in with me and giving me his updates!

Ariana was amazing! She came to meet the kitties first and was great about communicating while I was away. I was worry free while traveling and came home to happy cats! I hope Ariana is available the next time I have to travel. Also, the absolutely adorable photos she got from the check-ins made me so happy <3

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Friendship Village. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
