“Diana was great with Pisco! He had such a fun time and she took such good care of him. She’s very responsive, communicative, and makes sure to share fun memories as well. Even when Pisco wasn’t feeling the best she made sure he was comfortable and kept me informed. Would definitely recommend her and return for more bookings!”

“Victoria works with her son, Justin, and he’s been my point of contact, actually handling the day care. He’s now watched Milo, my cockapoo, a few times so I feel I can give an informed recommendation. The bottom line is that he’s exceptional with dogs and I highly recommend him. It’s clear from the get-go that he has experience dealing with all types of temperaments. He takes the time to learn about your dog, asking probing (and important) questions at the meet and greet, confirming vaccination status, and introducing your dog to the new environment and the other dogs he might be looking after or walking that day with thoughtfulness and care. Milo is a bit anxious; he gets overexcited when meeting new people and is initially timid around other dogs. Justin’s calm matter-of-fact energy around dogs put Milo quickly at ease and he’s happy to be dropped off and happy when I pick him up. This is in contrast to a commercial day care center I recently checked out, in which Milo was overwhelmed by the more frenetic energy he was thrown into. Justin is also super reliable and responsive and very much deserves a 5-star review.”

“Mei regularly cares for my older dog Bear and she does a fantastic job. She takes him on walks and I feel confident that he will have a wonderful day in her care. I highly recommend Mei!”

“Isabella was super friendly and communicative! She was flexible with me as I had a big work day and I immediately felt comfortable leaving my boy with her!”

“Willow had a lovely stay with Sky and the little ones. Sky is very accommodating and made it easier for me to have Willow stay with a sitter for the first time. I truly appreciate all the time and care!!”

“Diana did an excellent job watching my dog. She asked about his likes and dislikes beforehand and was good at communicating drop-off and pick-up. She kept him entertained throughout the day with games of fetch and walks. I would definitely have her watch my dog again.”

“Remi had another amazing time with Julia! Julia keeps us updated throughout the day with photos and updates on Remi. We highly recommend Julia for your pup!”

“My dog is very happy at Natalia's and with the company of other dogs there. She is happily going to Natalia, which is the biggest sign for me that Natalia's place is a good environment for dogs.”

About: As a child, I grew up in a household with multiple dogs around at all times. I have cared for and trained dogs of all sizes. My fiance and I would love to be around more dogs as we aren’t able to have one of our own yet! We only have experience with dogs at this time but we welcome cats as well! My boyfriend and I work from home during the week and are generally available to care on Friday and the weekend! We don’t have children so our schedules are very flexible. We are very attentive, affectionate, and responsive to the needs of our pets. We make sure to go on frequent walks and adventures around the park to remain an active and fun place for pets!
“Joey did a fantastic job to take great care of my 7-year-old labrador who had a bit of separation anxiety. I am so grateful with Joey to accept the last minute request after a brief meet up. I would love to use his services again and highly recommend him. Thanks again Joey for your flexibility and patience with Meimei!”

About: I have experience caring for dogs of different ages, from energetic younger dogs to elderly dogs who need extra patience and attention. I have cared for my own dog, which has taught me how important it is to be responsible, gentle, and attentive to each pet’s needs. I have also helped care for my neighbors’ dogs, including both senior dogs and younger dogs, by making sure they are fed, walked, comfortable, and given plenty of love and attention. I understand that every dog has its own personality and routine, and I always do my best to make pets feel safe, happy, and cared for while their owners are away. I currently work on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but the rest of the week I am usually at home working or studying remotely. This gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to provide pets with plenty of attention, walks, playtime, and care throughout the day. I am also especially available on weekends, which is a great option for pet parents who need to board their dog at my apartment. I live in a pet-friendly one-bedroom apartment where pets can feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I make sure to follow each pet’s usual routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special instructions from their owner. I also give pets plenty of attention, love, and a calm environment so they feel at home. My apartment is in a great area with plenty of parks and trails nearby, making it easy to take dogs on walks, get fresh air, and enjoy outdoor time. I always prioritize each pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness while they are staying with me.

“My dog stayed with Lee for daycare just once so far, but we're off to a good start. She has been very communicative and thorough. I was pleased to get a mid-day update, and Lee made drop off and pick up very fast and easy. My dog was returned to me content and in good shape. From what I have experienced so far, I would definitely recommend Lee and hope to continue hiring her for future dog sitting.”
About: I grew up spending lots of time at my aunts house who loves animals. Every weekend she often had me walking and feeding her dogs and cats.I also feed her fish and turtles . She taught me a lot about dogs and how to train them. I currently have an open schedule until I start college so I am able to be very flexible with my time. Rover is my top priority at the moment. I will follow all safety precautions and instructions to keep your pet safe. I will follow all care instructions left by the pet parent and make sure I create an enjoyable environment for your pet.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Friendship Village
Aly & Greg were really amazing. They took good care of our puppy. They were even very flexible and it allowed us the opportunity to attend to other commitments. They were very attentive to detail. Their small gestures went a long way with us. We will continue to book with them when we are visiting our family. We highly recommend them. Thank you again guys! Rio clearly had a great time!💙

I highly recommend Ayah! She is super communicative and cares so much about Louie. They went on long walks and played in the dog park. Ayah is very flexible with drop off and pick up times, and kept me updated throughout the day on how Louie was doing. Louie can’t wait to go back soon!

Christine is a wonderful sitter. Jax is a senior dog, and I always feel confident leaving him in her care because she is patient, attentive, and understands his needs. He comes home happy and relaxed after every stay, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter.

Caleb was absolutely fantastic with my pup Avi, who, at 15, is very sweet but can be a bit stubborn. But he took to Caleb immediately, following behind him with his tail a-wagging! In addition to being so great with my dog, Caleb was incredibly responsive, polite, and had great energy.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
