“Elliot just started walking Buddy and I can’t say enough nice things. Elliot is very responsible, shares information about their time together and Buddy liked Elliot from the jump!”

About: I have raised three dogs through puppyhood, adulthood, and seniorhood (a pointer/border collie mix, Weimaraner/greyhound mix, and a Westie). I have been trained in puppy obedience and clicker training and pride myself on being able to work with any dog-- from anxious, temperamental pups, to rowdy balls of energy, to silly couch potatoes-- I am here to keep your fur baby happy, healthy, and safe in your absence. In addition to my own dogs, I have had the privilege of caring for countless other friends' and neighbors' dogs and cats, and since moving to DC from California have been volunteering at the Humane Rescue Alliance shelter as a sensitivity-minded dog walker and enrichment provider as well as a cat care provider. I love all animals and am happy to help! I am currently a full time graduate student with a very flexible schedule and available to accommodate pet check ins, walks, and additional responsibilities within my class schedule. Depending on the dog's behavior, medical history, and location I work to minimize risks to the pet's safety and remain alert and attentive to the dog's body language as well as our surroundings, regardless of whether we are outside or inside.
About: Hi everyone, My name is Rachel and I am a huge animal lover who is passionate about providing the best care and companionship for our furry friends. I have been pet sitting for close to 7 years now, through Wag and also with Rover. Experience in administering medicine for both cats and dogs and currently in process to be First Aid certified for pets as well! (As of July 2025) I grew up with animals, as I had taken care of my own dog-Misia, a coackapoo, for 10 years and my mother with her Havanese dog, Tomo, of 4 years (and on-going!) I lead an active lifestyle and take dogs out for a long walk or find fun ways to play with cats too. I want to make sure I can provide a tailored approach to make sure your pets' needs are met as a photo enthusiast, happy to take pictures and provide an update throughout a boarding and/or a sitting especially. Coming up close to 7 years of being a pet sitter for Wag, Rover and individual clients, I would be honored to be your reliable pet sitter! Currently my schedule is very open and flexible. I can accommodate a boarding at my apartment, as well as pet sitting/drop-in visits, as well for all days of the week. *Note for Boarding requests* I have another 4-year old Havanese dog (very friendly) at my apartment. Happy to have another dog for boarding but please read this note before booking a boarding request!** Thank you 😊 First and foremost what's important is that I understand the client's needs and their instructions on how to take care of their pets. Once you book my service, I would be more than happy to do an in-person meet and greet or a video call. If there are any further instructions (beyond what is listed on the Rover app), then I am happy to provide my personal email address if you would like to e-mail the instructions. These are the steps I take to ensure I can take care of the clients' pets in a safe and trusting environment.

“Catherine was great with Luna! To begin with, she was very easy to reach and very communicative. She is very reliable and really took care of Luna and sent me pictures daily! Highly recommend Catherine!”

“Maddie was incredible with Cherry. They had rapport right away. She was responsible, communicative and walked for an hour in the hot sun and rain to make sure Cherry got her exercise. Highly recommend her to all pet parents!”

About: I am a local professional interested in helping other pet owners with my dog walking and cat sitting services. I was raised in a home with cats and dogs and am very familiar with their needs. I have pet sit for other people's animals many times since then. I currently live with one cat. At this time I am offering dog walking services and will come to your home to pet sit a cat or dog. I am energetic and comfortable working with both large and small dogs. I am highly responsible and respectful of both your pets and your living space. I will diligently follow your instructions and keep your pet happy while you are away! Comfortable with providing medications and longer care requirements.
“Cheryl is responsive and communicative. She let me know a month in advance for a few days she would be unavailable. Ajax also loves going on walks with Cheryl! Cheryl gets Ajax lots of exercise which is great!”

“Justin was wonderful! He sent check-in each time he walked and fed our dog Juni, and he clearly enjoyed spending time with her. We were happy to know he’s walked a few of our neighbors’ dogs too, so he was very comfortable with the neighborhood. I will definitely be hiring him again!”

About: I grew up in a household with rabbits, cats, and dogs. I let them sense my energy and know that I'm a safe person. I will also do pet portraits for an extra fee if interested. I'm taking a few months off work so my schedule is wide open. I'm also earning an MSW but class is remote so even on days when I have school pet sitting isn't a problem, I live alone in a one bedroom apartment so have privacy and a fair amount of space. When coming to a client's home I will respect the instructions I was given.

About: Growing up with three dogs, I have learned not only that different dogs have their own lifestyle and personality, but also different feeding habits and behaviors. My clef pallet pup, Daisy, has taught me that patience can lead to happiness and learning with all kinds of dogs. As a recent high school graduate, I am available all summer to care for your furry friends. As I prepare for college, I am building my savings to have a successful first year! Growing up, I have had dogs of different sizes, from teacup size to 50+ pounds. Not only do I have experience with tricky behavioral dogs, but also pups with disabilities, such as clef pallets.
“Larissa has been great so far with our puppy Moose. She has also been able to adapt very well to our changing schedule without ever having an issue. We appreciate how much she cares for Moose and look forward to continuing utilizing her services!”

“Juliana has been absolutely wonderful! We hired her to walk our dog (Merlin) while we were visiting family for the holidays in the Chevy Chase area, and we could not imagine a better experience! She was attentive and caring with our 2 year old (high energy) pup, and she communicated very well with us about scheduling and about how Merlin did on his walks. Juliana was also incredibly helpful to us, with her willingness to adjust Merlin’s schedule to fit our evolving vacation plans. We consider ourselves lucky to have discovered Juliana and will definitely look her up again the next time we come for a visit 😁”

“Daria is so calm, so at ease with my quirky and stubborn old pup. I felt very confident leaving Poppy in her hands. Daria is also very communicative and was flexible with a last minute change in our arrangement. I really appreciate her excellent care.”

Meg is the best dog walker I’ve ever had. She provides excellent care, truly loves animals, is very professional, and writes very detailed notes. She anticipates my dogs needs and is always prepared to go above and beyond- like putting her cooling vest on, bringing her water bottle, and rewarding good behavior on walks. I am so sad to no longer have Meg as a walker as I am moving, she will be missed!!!

Lakshmi was amazing! She came to us and did well with Artemis. There were hiccups with our front desk the day of the walk and Lakshmi was the perfect balance between communicative and patient, and sent photos and updates about the walk! Very very grateful she was able to help us out!

Natasha is an absolute lifesaver! I reached out last minute after an unexpected work event came up, and she responded almost immediately — no hesitation, just a quick "I've got you." That kind of responsiveness means everything when you're scrambling. But what really stood out was how she treated Boey. She didn't just walk him and call it a day — she spent extra time playing with him and genuinely getting to know him. You could tell it wasn't just a job for her. She's compassionate in a way that's hard to find, and Boey was in great hands the whole time. Highly recommend Natasha — especially if you ever need someone you can count on in a pinch. Will 100% hire again!

Justin was wonderful! He sent check-in each time he walked and fed our dog Juni, and he clearly enjoyed spending time with her. We were happy to know he’s walked a few of our neighbors’ dogs too, so he was very comfortable with the neighborhood. I will definitely be hiring him again!
