DJ is great with Harley, it had been a while since their last walk together and Harley was a bit unsure, but DJ quickly calmed our dog and put her at ease.

About: About me: After growing up with dogs, I became a dog mom in 2020 (shout out pandemic puppy parents) to a now 6 year old rescue pup from Puerto Rico! I love to be able to give my friends and family peace of mind when traveling, working late, shuffling schedules and more. For boarding requests, I do also have a 3 year old cat- she is indifferent with dogs but we ask that all overnight stays confirm a meet and greet to ensure comfort/safety of all pets prior to boarding. Thank you! Schedule: I’m a teacher who will be home for summer break so as long as my calendar is open on Rover, I am available! Full availability: June 19-August 16th. Experience: I have experience with small to large dogs, special diets, giving medication, post-surgery care, cats, and more. I treat all animals as if they were my own and will go above and beyond to make sure their needs are met. If your dog needs company on a walk, my pup is also extremely docile and has been known to calm nervous dogs or puppies when strolling around the city. Let's get strolling! ** Boarding requests: meet & greets required prior to overnight stays to ensure your dog is comfortable with my dog & cat, who are both docile, well-adjusted to other dogs. Thank you! Since I am home reliably at 4:30 each day, I am typically always available to help out for others who may get stuck late at the office, work happy hour runs late, need to run errands, or get dinner with a friend, any time between 5-10pm :) I am very cognizant of leash manners and appropriate opportunities to socialize dogs when on walks. For home check-in's, I'm willing to feed and provide any enrichment activities for your pups to make sure they are busy and/or relaxed while they wait for you to come home!

About: Growing up I’ve always had animal companions in my family’s house. My family has had generations of dogs raised into senior ages full of health. I currently have my buddy Timmy who’s been with me since I was 9, he’s a 14 year old German Shepard, Corgi mix. I’ve been responsible for his senior care for the last 5 years and have learned so much. I’m excited to be a part of your companions life and look forward to working with you! I am currently a full time student at an online university. My schedule is very flexible, so I am certain I can work with you to find consistent times to meet your pets needs. I believe that keeping a pet on a leash while on walks is the best way to protect them. I will ensure that your pet enjoys their time outdoors while being extra safe. I am a vigilant person as well, so I’ll always be on the look out for danger 🫡🫡

About: i've been around dogs and cats my entire life — we're talking 20+ years of walks, belly rubs, and figuring out which cat wants attention and which one wants to be left alone. I'm the person friends and neighbors call when they go out of town because they know their pets are in good hands. I keep things simple: stick to your pet's routine, keep them active and happy, and send you updates so you're not worrying. Big dogs, tiny dogs, bossy cats — I'm good with all of them. I currently work from home and will have plenty of time to take care of your pet. Your pet will always be in good hands when they are being watched by me :) I'm in a condo so it's nice and chill — no crazy noise, just a cozy spot where your pet can relax and hang out with me. Great for dogs and cats who like a mellow vibe. There's good walking areas nearby so your dog won't be cooped up all day. And if I'm coming to your place, I'll keep everything buttoned up and stick to whatever routine you've got going

About: I’ve always loved dogs and grew up with a Rottweiler, so I’m comfortable with larger breeds and have plenty of experience caring for them. Many of my friends have big dogs, and I often enjoy taking them out for walks. During the warmer months, I can even take your pup on a short run to burn off some extra energy! With prior military service, I bring a high level of responsibility, reliability, and dedication to ensuring your dog gets the best care and attention during our time together. I can be free in the evenings starting at 6 pm on weekdays, or Wednesday mornings before 10:30am. My weekends are free and I can easily fit in a walk while you’re out living your best life. I give all animals lots of love, attention, and patience! I communicate well, and would love to share updates on how your dog is enjoying their walk, with a quick pic or two to capture the moment.

Evelyn responded promptly to my request for a dog walk and she came over and met my dog and I within 48 hours. I have a rescue dog with anxiety when it comes to new people. Evelyn was so sweet and patient with her. I even had a last minute change up where I had to add another dog that Evelyn had not met (friend having a baby), and she was accommodating and happy to help. 100% recommend Evelyn!

Christopher took wonderful care of my dogs while I was away. He asked thoughtful questions upfront so I felt confident they were in good hands, and he sent regular updates that put my mind at ease. When one of my pups got unexpectedly sick, he handled it calmly, cleaned everything thoroughly, and left the space spotless. That kind of care and responsibility means so much. I’ll absolutely be booking with him again!

Meg is the best dog walker I’ve ever had. She provides excellent care, truly loves animals, is very professional, and writes very detailed notes. Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Bethesda. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Bethesda. On Rover:

  • 89% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
