I am so happy that I found this daycare for my tiny pup! The at-home approach makes me feel so much more comfortable (and less guilty) than the typical daycare/boarding options offered in the area where all the dogs are in one room without their comfy bed or toys. Everyone who works at the daycare is friendly and my pup is truly excited when we pull up for drop-off. Definitely a hidden little gem!

About: 👋 I’ve had dogs and taken care of them since I was a child. I’ve owned an Airedale terrier, a pug, a Russian terrier, and my family currently has a Japanese spitz and a toy terrier. I have lots of experience - I have adopted a doggie from a shelter before, and I’ve also raised my two pups from 3 months old until they passed a few months ago at ages 14 and 16. Prior to registering on Rover I’d boarded dogs - I looked after a friend’s pug for a week, a family friend’s elderly golden retriever, and fostered a stray my sister and I rescued from the street before someone adopted her. I’ve taken road trips with multiple pets, and flown across the country with 3 of my dogs, I’ve taken them to all sorts of vet appointments, and been with them through all stages of their lives. ♥️ I’m on this platform looking for company to heal from losing my furry friends - the pain of it shook me to my core, I loved them so much, they were my family members (you know how it is). Being around dogs brings me peace and joy. I am a performing artist and I travel a lot for concerts, so having my own pet is unfortunately not feasible at the moment, hence I decided that taking care of someone else’s furry babies while I’m home between performances is the second best thing:) You can rest assured that I’ll take great pleasure in looking after them and having them in my home. 🏡 I work from home during the day and I am home from evening until morning, too. I do however step out for errands and appointments. Your dog will be with me most of the time while staying in my home, walked 2-3 times and fed on schedule, but should be comfortable being on its own for 2-3 hours max, if I have things to do. ❗️If your pup has severe separation anxiety and is unable to be alone at all, I can accommodate that with enough notice and for 2x my normal nightly rate. 🐶 I’ve always let my dogs run free around the house and made a safe space for them where they liked, but I did crate my rescue doggie when he first arrived to slowly acclimate him to the new place. Whatever you prefer for your dog is fine by me and I’m happy to accommodate. I don’t have a yard, but I have plenty of green areas nearby where I’d walk your furry pal. I keep my dogs on leash at all times. I steer clear of other dogs by default when I’m walking your dog, so whether they’re leash reactive or not, I err on the side of caution 100% of the time. 🐕 I like training doggies and playing with them to give them some mental stimulation, but if they prefer to chill and not be bothered I’m cool with that as well ❗️I’m not looking to scale this as a business and not looking for a potentially unsafe situation, so I’m always only caring for 1 dog at a time, unless both dogs are from the same owner and are part of the same booking.

Diana did an excellent job watching my dog. She asked about his likes and dislikes beforehand and was good at communicating drop-off and pick-up. She kept him entertained throughout the day with games of fetch and walks. I would definitely have her watch my dog again.

About: I’ve cared for many of my own dogs & dogs of friends, gf’s, etc. since the late 1980s. I’m a long time dog owner and dog lover, who is also a professional and former small business owner - who is mature, responsible, and serious. On the professional side, I have a combination of organizational/business management and basic sales/marketing & customer service training. I own a single family home with a large yard. My “main job” is in tech and I work from home nearly every day. I’m minutes away from a large park as well. The pets (and people) under my care receive a lot of loving attention in a safe, higher end neighborhood. I have a fenced yard backing up to a very serene, wooded/natural setting with tons of trees. If needed, my home has specific crates/cages and multiple rooms, depending on what the circumstances require. However, usually most pets are allowed to roam freely throughout most of the house and yard, as long as they do not conflict with or disrupt others.

About: I treat every pet as if they were my own. As a previous dedicated dog owner ourselves (we recently lost our German shepherd) I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family member. Your pet won’t just receive food, water, and walks, they’ll get attention, affection, playtime, and a comfortable home environment where they can feel safe and loved. I know how much peace of mind matters when you’re away, so I provide regular updates, photos, and clear communication throughout your pet’s stay. My goal is simple: for your pet to have such a great time that they’re excited to come back for their next visit. I currently work from home full time and my husband and I are also generally home during the weekends as well! We have a ton of time to Pets in our home are treated like family. We follow their normal routines as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks (as energy permits), playtime, medications, and any other special instructions. Whether your pet loves playing, exploring, or curling up for a nap, we make sure they receive the care and companionship they need while you’re away.

Our dogs, Rizzo and Ginger, spent the day with Andy in Day Care when we needed to go out of town. This is their second time with Andy and he is wonderful with them. He sent us some pictures of them, took them on walks, and put together a "report card" on what they did during the day. Andy is so good with dogs and we are also happy knowing they are in a safe and loving environment. We will certainly use Andy again!

About: DOGGY DAY CARE [only 1 spot avail. for cat-friendly small/medium sized dogs] I’ve been caring for my family’s dogs since I was a teenager, and over the years, I’ve developed a deep understanding of dog body language and their unique needs. I’m confident working with dogs of all ages, and I have hands-on experience with training, including basic commands and leash manners. What truly sets me apart is my patience and calm approach—whether I’m working with an energetic puppy or a senior dog who needs a little extra care, I always tailor my approach to make sure every pup feels safe, loved, and understood. I also have experience with reptiles and small animals—from feeding routines to habitat care. If you have non-traditional pets at home, I’m happy to assist with them too!” I currently work from home with a flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time to each pet. I’m able to provide the attention they deserve and can easily accommodate last-minute bookings or changes. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals—it’s something I look forward to every day. When caring for pets, whether in my home or my client’s, I prioritize creating a safe, comfortable, and nurturing environment tailored to each pet’s unique needs. Here’s how I approach pet care in both settings: In My Home: • Safe and Welcoming Environment: I ensure my home is pet-friendly, removing any potential hazards and providing cozy spaces for rest and play. • Consistent Routine: I maintain a regular schedule for feeding, exercise, and playtime to help pets feel secure and reduce anxiety. • Personalized Attention: Understanding that each pet has its own personality and preferences, I adapt activities and interactions to suit their individual needs. In Client’s Home: • Respect for Home and Rules: I adhere strictly to the homeowner’s guidelines, ensuring pets follow their usual routines and house rules. • Home Security: Before leaving, I double-check that all doors, windows, and, if applicable, fence gates are securely closed to keep pets safe and maintain home security. • Emergency Preparedness: I keep a list of emergency contacts, including the pet’s regular veterinarian and the nearest animal hospital, to act swiftly if any health issues arise. In both scenarios, I focus on providing loving care and companionship, ensuring pets are happy, healthy, and comfortable in their surroundings.

About: You name it, I probably have lovingly done it. From medical care, giving shots, playing, training, elder pet care, cleaning ears, wiping paws, giving baths, walking and playing with super high energy pets, etc., I can handle it. I specialize in anxious dogs. I get that there is a formula for making them feel safe and I can follow it to a T, plus I have a lot of tools and tricks. I also specialize in elder care of pets. Beyond medical needs which I am comfortable doing, I also have tons of ways of engaging elders pets that can no longer play nor walk like they used. I am loving, lead with empathy, and NEVER strike nor yell at a pet. That should go without saying, but I like to be very clear. I can assert leadership for pets that need it. I can handle any size pet and I get that each pet has their own needs, so don't worry if your dog has a long list of things they cannot do or a list of needs. I get it! I am currently working part time from home and my breaks and hours are flexible, so I am always available. Very occasionally I work outside the home for no more than 5 hours at a time. I care for pets in my home and at their home as well. I have a big back yard that is fenced in on all sides. I go outside with the pets most of the time and engage and play with them. I don't just let them out. There are 2 people parks near my home (one well shaded and great for hot summer days) that are great for walking to. I find dogs like to people watching too. I think giving pups time to sniffy snoop around is important. I even have a backpack with a mesh screen "window" for a cat as some cats love walks. In your home, I follow their routine to give them a sense of security, play, train, and introduce new toys and tricks if your pup is up for that. With cats I can read their cute little faces pretty well and give them what they want: play, pets, scratches, and/or, for example, introduce them to new smells to engage their minds.

About: I work from home and am very active! First dog walk is about 5/5:30 AM and again every 2-3 hours. High energy dog? No problem.. if it’s not raining I have rollerblades :) I’ve had dogs since I was 8 years old .. from a chihuahua to German shepherd to Rottweiler to teacup pups. Each dog has their own personality so I make sure I keep them nice and tired and petted. I’ve found that makes a pretty happy, chill dog. 😀 I’m a stay at home mom and am home all day, except for random errands, grocery shopping, etc. I am an avid walker (about 7-miles per day) so love the company (dogs, not people) when I can get it! Pups are given my attention all day! Between belly rubs, obedience games, watching tv, getting the mail.. they’re a constant companion and will receive pets throughout the day.

Anastasiia took excellent care of my blind dog with mobility issues, who can be high maintenance at times. He was soooo relaxed and calm after spending a day with her, it was noticeable. He didn’t seem eager to leave and loved being held by her! He’s a messy eater too and normally has food bits on paws and face but he was remarkably clean and very well cared for. Definitely want her to care for him again and will be reaching out soon. Also, she’s a musician and has a loving and generous, protective attitude about dogs. She is also detail-oriented with care instructions and communications. Highly recommend, esp for blind, deaf, elderly, or sensitive dogs.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Huntington Terrace on Rover is $48.15 per day (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 5,464 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Huntington Terrace. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Huntington Terrace commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 5,464 sitters in Huntington Terrace, 87% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
