“Khadija was super responsive and easygoing. When we got back from our vacation, the lady at the front desk of our apartment said, “that woman you hired to come by was on the money! She’s good!” Our very timid furbaby spent less time than usual hiding when we got back. 10/10. Will hire again.”
“We came back and used Teffni again for our cats when we went out of town and she did a terrific job as always! In addition to checking on food, water, and litter, she made time to get the two cats (who don't always get along) to play and engage. She also checked our home for potential issues/messes during the visits, was communicative with us via text, and took some great visit pictures to share with us. We'll be reaching out for future pet needs for sure.”

About: I've been dog walking ever since 2020, starting with my sister's retriever mix, my neighbor's dogs of similar size (85 lbs), and a family friend’s corgi. I'm used to taking care of dogs with a lot of energy! I've been entrusted to take of care my sister's dog on my own for extended periods of time since then, spanning anywhere from a week to over two months. I am available mostly from 10 am - 4 pm on weekdays, barring any special circumstances. On weekends I am less flexible in the afternoons. I have a fenced in yard that is decently spacious with lots of slopes for dogs to run across. It's perfect for a game of fetch or just a case of the zoomies! While I do spend most of the day on my own, I can give enough attention to any dog that needs it because of my flexible schedule.
“Drew did an excellent job caring for our corgi over Thanksgiving. We really appreciated his willingness to do a meet and greet in advance. He was polite, professional, friendly and communicative. All of our directions were followed to the letter and we came home to a tidy space and a happy dog :)”
“Can’t describe how comforting it is to have Melissa in the neighborhood. We needed her twice today due to work circumstances, and we were in the best hands. We are so grateful for Melissa!”

“Joe was so wonderful with my very playful, attention seeking young cat and kept him engaged and happy while I was away. I was grateful to leave my kitty with someone so caring (and good at innovating new ways to keep a cat entertained!) and will definitely be asking him to look after my cat again.”

“Ilana has now worked with us for almost a year, providing week day visits to our dog during lunchtime. I could not recommend Ilana more highly! She’s very responsive, dependable, and caring with our dog’s needs while we are at work. Thanks Ilana!”

“Vidya gave us priceless peace of mind on an important weekend away by taking care of our cat Moose. She communicated everything so clearly and gave great updates - and we came home to a happy and healthy cat.”

“Rebecca did great with our cats! She was so patient and kind with our shy kitty who also needs medicine, and was able to troubleshoot administration when things didn't go exactly to plan. Our girls will be excited to see her again in the future ❤️”

“Natalie is a wonderful and I’d highly recommend her for anyone with a puppy. She’s great with our 3 month old terrier mix. I’m pretty sure our puppy is more excited to see Natalie walk in than she is to see her own family members come home! Natalie’s also easy to communicate and schedule with and is very reliable. Five stars!”

About: I’ve taken care of my neighbors dogs since i was 11. My first job was a dog walker/sitter but i just liked being able to play with pets. Overtime that evolved into me taking care of my friends’ pets (cats, dogs, birds, fish, plants…) when they went out of town. I set and stick to schedules so they get the timely care and attention they need. I also send texts/facetime/pictures updates to pet owners I work from home full time with minimal meetings so i can take lots of breaks to drop-in, house sit, play, walk and feed. There are currently no time restrictions on my end so your pet can have the attention they need! If boarding in my home, i have toys and a pet area. There are no hazardous materials (hard corners, noises, cleaning products) or food laying around. I also have an open floor plan so they wouldn’t be cramped and bored.
“Natalia has been great with our cats, making sure that they are happy and cared for while we are away. It's been touching to see one of our timid cats open up to her. We love the text and picture updates.”

“Samuel was a wonderful sitter! He was very attentive and responsible, he sent great summaries and pictures, and was flexible when fitting me in last minute. My rambunctious kitty had a great with him!”

“Lo did a great job taking care of our geriatric zoo - above and beyond in a snow storm, 3 different medication regimens, and ensuring our fur babies were happy and well cared for.”

“Excellent work, very friendly, super responsive—everything all in one delightful person! We enjoyed having Abigail as our sitter (and so did Nigel) and highly recommend. We would love to hire Abigail again!”

“Julianna was great with Amber and very communicative! She updated me daily and made sure to give her lots of treats and playtime. This was my first time using Rover, and I'm so glad we worked with her!”

“Cindy is AMAZING! She took such amazing care of my boys, and I will continue to book with her when I go out of town. She is someone who you can trust and my cats warmed up to her very quick!”

“Jonathan was very responsive and took great care of our cats and dogs. He sent us several videos and photos of our pets each time he visited. We would book him again and would recommend him to others.”

“It is pleasure working with Lingshan. She is punctual, responds promptly, keeps me updated of the visits and is very reliable. I also appreciated extra time that she spent with my Golden. She is of great help when I am away at work.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - South Kensington
Stephanie stepped in on short notice and took great care of our dog and cat while we were away? She left helpful notes, sent photos and gave us a lot of peace of mind while we were out of town! I would definitely recommend her and will reach out to her when we travel again.

Abigail, a 4th grade school teacher, was a wonderful pet sitter! She was diligent, reliable, and caring. She spent extra time with our cat Teddy, and emptied the trash before we came home. Teddy was clearly well taken care of, and I never worried about him. Thank you, Abigail!!
So impressed! I highly recommend Evelyn and Rover. This was my first time using Rover and I was quite cautious. Evelyn allayed all concerns. She came to meet the cats a couple days before I left and they both loved her. She asked poignant questions and made sure she was clear on all my requests. Every day I got pictures of them playing and was able to see when she checked in and when she checked out. She was super responsive before leaving and during my trip. While I was gone there was a water outage in my building that she handled beautifully (including bringing bottled water for the cats.). A+ to Evelyn! I highly recommend her and will be asking for her on future trips. So pleased with the whole Rover experience.
Edgar was fantastic! He took great care of Bagel and Badger while we were away and kept us updated with photos and notes after each visit. He clearly spent quality time with them and provided lots of attention and enrichment rather than simply stopping by to take care of the basics. The cats really enjoyed him and were clearly comfortable and happy in his care. Edgar was reliable, communicative, and attentive, and we had complete peace of mind while we were away. We’d absolutely book with him again and highly recommend him!

Michaela watched our cat for the first time last week. We met her briefly in-person at our house to meet our furry friend and go through logistics. Our cat immediately loved her and so did we. She is very friendly and it is obvious she loves animals. She cared for our cat for 5 days with drop-ins 2x a day. He was very happy when we came home! We could not be happier with her communication each day and all the photos - it was obvious he was well cared for. Highly recommend her!
We booked Quantairra pretty last minute before a trip. She came the next day to meet us and our cat, Cash. She was attentive and we felt good about leaving Cash in her hands! Quantairra sent us photos and a helpful report in each Rover report, which we really appreciated, and Cash was doing great when we got back. She also cleaned up a couple messes for us which we really appreciate. Thanks Quantairra!

Audry was very responsible and followed through on everything she explained during our meet-and-greet. She played with our cats every day and sent us many adorable photos and videos, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. She kept all the litter boxes clean and paid close attention to our cats’ dietary needs. We really appreciated her care and reliability. We would absolutely contact Audry again for any future pet-sitting needs.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in South Kensington. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
