“Juna continues to take fantastic care of my hound mix! My dog is always happy to see Juna, and I can tell from her consistent communication and her lovely walking/drop-in photos that my dog continues to enjoy Juna's care and company throughout each booking. Juna has proven to be capable and resourceful throughout all of her visits with my dog, and I'm confident she would be the same with yours, too!”

Each visit included feeding, changing water, administration of medication, walking and playing with him. Absolutely recommend her and plan to have her help again in the future.”

“Helene was great! Only a few days before a trip, we had to find a new sitter to visit our cat, Pickles. I requested Helene because of all the great reviews and the close proximity to our house. Helene sent daily pictures and a short report card that helped us feel that Pickles was being well taken care of during our trip.”

“Drew was amazing! First time in a long time— my dogs just welcomed someone with no issues :)… I highly recommend him as a dog sitter. His attention to details is also significant.”

“Lo did a great job taking care of our geriatric zoo - above and beyond in a snow storm, 3 different medication regimens, and ensuring our fur babies were happy and well cared for.”

About: Mature. Responsible. Crazy about Canines. Plus, in keeping with my humanitarian background, I'm looking to train dogs for global search & rescue operations. So I'm glad to add training as needed! At the moment, I'm available to care for your pet almost any day, 7 am to 10 pm (or later as arranged). I currently have no pets of my own (grieving those I've recently lost). I find it less invasive if pets are able to stay in their home as much as possible. I'm available for daytime, evenings, and/or overnights as needed!

“Sarah helped me out on my rather last minute request, and was very patient in dealing with my less-than-helpful front desk attendant. Sarah and my kitty became quick friends and she sent great photos! I would recommend her to anyone.”

About: I’ve taken care of animals my entire life! I had my first dog, adopted from Dogs XL, in 2014. I love big dogs, little dogs, and medium dogs. All breeds and types (with a preferred love for rescues!). I love learning the personalities of new animals, and learning their quirks and how they show their love. I just graduated from college and am currently looking for long-term employment. Due to only having part-time gigs right now, your animal will have frequent walks, supervised time outside, and pets. I am willing to be flexible in my schedule for home visits too, coming as frequently as desired. I have a fenced yard and no other animals in the house, but two parents, a brother, and myself (all pet lovers), so there will be lots of people to keep your animals company and play.
“Angela was so helpful and communicative with our cats! We have three cats, and they are all very different. One cat does not like strangers at all, and Angela respected her space but also sent a picture every day so we knew she was alright. The other two love attention (one takes some warming up), and Angela caught onto their personalities right away. We absolutely recommend Angela!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Forest Glen. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
