“Ashley was fantastic with our cat! She was very responsive and communicative with us, flexible when our plans changed, and did everything we could possibly ask. Our cat was in great hands while we were away and was happy as ever after Ashley's visits. We will definitely book her again!”

“Erin was a great caretaker for our cat while we were gone for nearly a week. She was prompt with her check in times and did what we asked for pet care. We would definitely recommend her to others and would use her again in the future!”

“Big thanks to Natalia and Edward for taking such amazing care of our two cats! They were very attentive and communicative and made sure everything went smooth while we were away. I could tell my cats were happy and well-loved, which says a lot of the care Natalia and Edward provided. I really appreciated the updates—they kept me totally at ease. I am particularly thankful for the daily pictures and for flagging that one of the automatic feeders wasn't working properly. Reach out to them if you’re looking for trustworthy pet sitters.”

“Rebecca was wonderful and my cat really loved her; she adhered to all my instructions and was very considerate and warm. I would definitely consider booking with her again in the future if she’s available!”

“Jonathan is very friendly and nice. He came to meet and see puppies before the actual book to get to know them. He’s well taken care of them and dogs are very happy. He did a big favor for us. I truly recommend him as dog sitter.”

“Lo did a great job taking care of our geriatric zoo - above and beyond in a snow storm, 3 different medication regimens, and ensuring our fur babies were happy and well cared for.”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better cat sitter! Nichole took amazing care of our 4-year-old cat, Tookie, during our week-and-a-half trip and truly went above and beyond in every way. Tookie is a long-haired cat, and she took the time to brush her regularly and keep her coat looking beautiful. She even cleaned her ears, which was such a kind thing to offer. Beyond caring for Tookie, she also watered our plants and looked after our home with great care. When our travel plans changed and we needed to come home early, she was incredibly flexible and accommodating, making the whole process completely stress-free. It’s clear that she genuinely cares about the pets and homes she’s entrusted with. We felt so comfortable knowing Tookie was in such capable hands. We 100% recommend Nichole to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate, and attentive pet sitter, and we absolutely hope to book with her again in the future!”

“Giovanna was amazing!! Drako loved being visited by her, she was very communicative with us and made sure we got pictures and updates on a visit baisis! We felt so happy and comfortable that our dog was being taken care by her! Definitely would recommend her with anyone that needs his/her dog taking care of! We would definitely will be thinking of her if we need someone to take care of our dog! Thanks Giovanna!!”

“Joe was so wonderful with my very playful, attention seeking young cat and kept him engaged and happy while I was away. I was grateful to leave my kitty with someone so caring (and good at innovating new ways to keep a cat entertained!) and will definitely be asking him to look after my cat again.”
“Drew is just downright amazing! Braved the winter storm to take care of our boys and went above and beyond as a sitter. Extremely responsive and friendly to us and the cats. Would hire him again in a heartbeat.”

About: When I was younger, I took care of my family's many cats and leapt at any opportunity to walk and play with friends' dogs. As a adult, I'm dedicated pet "parent" who would do anything to ensure my cats are happy and healthy. They're as important to me - and I love them as much - as any person. At the same time, one of my favorite things about my neighborhood is that I've had big, adorable dogs living on either side of me that I can shower with affection. Just seeing them makes me smile! Cats in my home and friendly dogs next door...I couldn't really ask for much more! Like a lot of people in the DC area, my current schedule has a lot of flexibility...plenty of time to take care of your pets! My default is to care for other people's pets as if they're mine. If I'm taking care of your dogs or cats, you can be sure I'll take that responsibility very, very seriously.
“Samuel was a wonderful sitter! He was very attentive and responsible, he sent great summaries and pictures, and was flexible when fitting me in last minute. My rambunctious kitty had a great with him!”

Whether you're heading out for a weekend or an extended vacation, I offer personalized, attentive care to keep your pets safe, happy, and loved while you're away. I'm trustworthy, detail-oriented, and flexible to your pet's needs - from energetic pups to mellow seniors. I treat every animal as if they were my own and aim to give you total peace of mind while you're away. I volunteer with the Humane Rescue Alliance, Brandywine Valley SPCA in DC, Friends of Rabbits, and Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center. I've received training in dog walking, cat socialization and care, small mammals training and care, and received a certificate of completion for Fear Free Shelters with a focus on cat and dog behaviors and strategies to reduce stress. Also, I received bottle baby feeding and kitten care training through National Kitten College. I am available Tuesday-Thursday and Sundays for dog walking, some occasional house sitting, and drop-in visits for cats, dogs, and exotic pets such as guinea pigs, rabbits, and hamsters. I will care for your pet(s) through dog walking, drop-in visits, and some occasional house-sitting services. I'll make sure to keep your fur baby safe in your home or while taking walks in the neighborhood.
“Aliyah was fantastic! She replaced a last minute cancellation and was so on top of everything clear and smooth. We were gone for our wedding weekend, and I was able to have 0 worried for my kitty cat while we’re gone knowing she was in Aliyah’s care <3”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 10, starting with my own Maltese, Snowball, who I’ve raised since he was a puppy. From walks to bath time to snuggles, I’ve been hands on every step of the way with the support of my family. Over the years, neighbors, friends, and family have trusted me with their pups too, knowing I treat every dog like my own. I’m attentive, patient, and happy to care for senior dogs, small breeds, and playful pups alike. I work a part-time job at my college on Wednesdays, but I’m available to sit any other day of the week! I have lots of time to give your pup attention, playtime, and outdoor walks. I have a fenced yard and a sweet older dog named Snowball who gets along well with dogs, cats, and children. At my home, I make sure pets are fed on time, have fresh water, and get plenty of affection and attention. I love keeping their routines consistent and providing a calm and safe space. If I’m caring for pets in your home, I will follow your instructions closely to make sure they feel comfortable and cared for.
About: (All day supervision, fenced in back yard!) This is my eighth year working with Rover and my 15th year overall of dog watching! I will follow any owner’s rules diligently and consistently. I never have dogs from separate owners at the same time unless I have permission from both parties. I am a physical therapist and clinic director by trade, but my wife—who runs our Rover business with me—works from home, so your dog will always be supervised. We also have a sweet Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who is very friendly with other dogs. I am very active and will happily go at whatever pace your dog prefers, whether that’s a walk or a run. I love all types of animals, am available for contact 24/7, and will send plenty of photos at your request! (All day supervision, fenced in back yard!) My wife and rover-partner works from home, so your dog will be supervised at all times! I typically walk dogs 3-4 times per day as needed. I have a decent sized house and lots of safe local areas to take your dog on a walk. It’s a quiet and safe neighborhood with very friendly neighbors.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Four Corners
Bianca really helped us out at the last minute with checking on our cat Brisa while we were gone for a few days. She was able to take up the info we left quickly and without any preceding intro visit. We really appreciate the attention she paid to Brisa and making sure to send great updates. We would hire her again without a second thought!

Lynleigh was very responsive and came across as extremely experienced with cats. Noodle, our cat, took to her after a minute or two of sniffing and we knew that he had someone he could trust and be cared for by while we were out of town. We received many pictures and updates, and did not need to reach out before hearing how things were going. As far as we are concerned, Lynleigh is our go to moving forward, and should be yours as well!

I would 100 percent rebook with Quantairra. She provided fabulous pictures of my cats playing while I was away, and when I returned from my vacation, my cats were so content with her visits that they didn't rush to the door to meet me. They almost always do this. I'm so happy with her help with my pets. Highly recommend!

I cannot say enough good things about having Kim as our cat sitter. My last trip, she accommodated multiple scheduling changes. When one of my babies was particularly struggling with the separation, she took special care of him, was flexible with modifying longer visits, and amply communicated and reassured me.
Drew has done so well with our cats, one of which is very picky when it comes to who she befriends. She came out to greet him all the time when he was over for drop-ins, which is honestly the highest praise she bestows! He is very considerate and caring and we are very lucky to have found a reliable and friendly sitter. Thanks, Drew!
Ashley was fantastic with our cat! She was very responsive and communicative with us, flexible when our plans changed, and did everything we could possibly ask. Our cat was in great hands while we were away and was happy as ever after Ashley's visits. We will definitely book her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Four Corners. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
