“Sarah has watched my cats a few times now and every time I come home to happy, well loved and well tended cats. She is so kind and loving with them! I can't recommend her highly enough!”

“I highly recommend Sydni. She was always on time, communicative and always sent pictures. If she wasn’t sure about something she always checked in with me first. Sydni makes you feel at ease and confident that your dog will be fully taken care of in your absence!”

“Oliver was great! They took care of all my cats’ needs, communicated solidly, and sent pics of them playing that helped soothe the pain of being away from my beloveds lol. It is such a relief to go away and know that my babies will be taken care of! I’d love to book again in the future :)”

“Hayley was amazing! Arrived early/on time and took lots of pictures. We asked for help on short notice and she delivered! We came home to a happy dog and cat. Will definitely use her again!”

“Liza was AMAZING! It was our first time using Rover. We have two dogs and a cat and we’re feeling nervous about leaving them. Liza was so good with them, cuddled them, and always left us with the best visit details with really cute pictures! I know we can’t wait to book with her again. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve been around dogs and cats my entire life and know how to take care of them. I’ve had a dog of my own until he passed away recently. The care and safety of your pets is my top priority. I believe in effective communication, so I will try my best to keep you updated throughout the process. I follow all my clients’ instructions and preferences, so you don’t have to worry about your home while you’re away; I make sure everything is locked up, treat your belongings with respect, and leave your home just as you left it so you can come back without extra stress, especially knowing how exhausting travel can be. I work fully remote so I work from home, so I can pack up and stay in your home whenever I'm available. I tend to adapt my daily schedule around my new roommates' schedules, so they don't get stressed out by the situation. I can also be of assistance for drop-in visits and for walking service. I work currently from Sunday to Tuesday so from Wednesday to Saturday I’m available to take care of your pets in whatever need they may have. I am unable to care for your pets at my home since my apartment doesn’t allow pets. Thank you for understanding. However I’m willing and able to care for them at your home.
About: I have years of experience walking, feeding, and taking care of dogs, even puppies! My priority is to keep your fur babies safe and happy I have open availability. I am a college student that is home for summer break, meaning I am available any time of day, everyday, even on weekends. I will care for your pet, however I am told to do so. I will make sure fences and crates are used if told to do so. I just want your pet to be happy and safe.
“Ashley did an amazing job caring for our cat. She provided detailed daily updates and pictures of our cat during her visits. We appreciated the consistent communication and felt she was very reliable. Ashley was also flexible with scheduling - we had to shorten our trip at the beginning and she was accommodating and came instead an extra time throughout the time we were gone. We can tell she had a gentle and caring approach with our cat, and understood what the cat needed. We’re grateful for it all!”

“Carrie was FANTASTIC with my dog, Zeke. She provided really thoughtful updates which put my mind at ease and he had so much fun with her the whole weekend. Highly recommend booking with Carrie if you want to have peace of mind when leaving your dog for a day or a weekend!”

“Nichole was wonderful with our cats and cockatiels! She sent us photo updates, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. Our pets warmed up to her surprisingly quickly, and it was clear they were well cared for. We will definitely be booking Nichole again for our future trips. Highly recommend!”

About: My passion for pet care began in 2019 while I was a senior in high school, when I started walking my neighbor’s dog after classes during my half-day schedule. What started as a simple after-school routine quickly grew into a career working with animals full time. From 2022–2024, I worked professionally with Heart and Home Pets, LLC in Silver Spring, where I cared for 15–20 repeat clients on a regular basis. My experience includes dog walking, play groups, house sitting, and caring for pets with a wide range of temperaments, ages, and physical needs. I’m comfortable working with energetic puppies, senior dogs, shy or anxious pets, and multi-pet households. I truly enjoy building trust with both pets and their owners, and I always strive to provide dependable, attentive, and compassionate care. I work a full time day job from 8-5, so for dogs that are used to being alone during the day, i can pet sit any day of the week! Weekends are the only times I can accommodate dogs who require closer care. Before beginning any pet care service, I prefer to meet both owners and pets at least 24 hours in advance. This helps pets become familiar with me and allows me to learn their routines, personalities, and individual needs ahead of time. I always appreciate a walkthrough of the home, including where everyday pet care items are kept such as food, leashes, litter supplies, medications, cleaning products, and any comfort items your pet uses regularly. I also ask pet parents to leave written instructions that include feeding schedules, walk routines, medication instructions, emergency contacts, and any other important details about their pet’s care — even small things that help keep your pet comfortable and stress-free while you’re away. For overnight stays, I ask that clean linens and towels be made available. I’m always happy to tidy up after myself and will gladly change bedsheets before leaving your home. My goal is to provide dependable, respectful care for both your pets and your living space so you can travel with peace of mind.
“Neesa came to our meet and greet with prepared questions! Our anxious dog immediately warmed up to her, and she was able to read his body language easily. She sent plenty of cute videos and pictures during her drop ins!”

“Teffni’s been a responsible and caring sitter throughout the 3 weeks stint with our cat. She’s punctual, responsive and meticulously handled the duties of looking after our cat well. Will definitely consider her for future sitting needs and recommend her services to anyone.”

“Giovanna was amazing!! Drako loved being visited by her, she was very communicative with us and made sure we got pictures and updates on a visit baisis! We felt so happy and comfortable that our dog was being taken care by her! Definitely would recommend her with anyone that needs his/her dog taking care of! We would definitely will be thinking of her if we need someone to take care of our dog! Thanks Giovanna!!”

About: I grew up with dogs and as a teenager assisted walking our dogs and foster dogs of varying sizes. I also know how to take care of cats. I've worked at dog boarding facilities where I've taken care of unfamiliar dogs. I can work Friday to Sunday any time and mornings during the week days due to other responsibilities such as taking care of my own pets Monday to Thursday. I trust in my ability to handle any dog under 40 pounds. I am willing to walk well behaved dogs from the same household together. I would be uncomfortable handling large pully or reactive dogs but can handle calm or heel trained dogs up to 70 lbs.
“Anton was a fantastic communicator and took my stress away about leaving my kitties. I left for 4 days and have 6 cats and he was fantastic. His picture updates were cute & he went above and beyond to play with them and feed them their wet food. Highly recommend him for any of your animal needs.”

“Cindy was responsive for our last minute request! She always takes great pictures and provides updates. We were so grateful for the help! Our pups love seeing her”

About: I'm excited to have your furry friend over and will give them all the TLC they deserve while sticking to their regular schedules. I've been obsessed with dogs since I was a kid and have taken care of our family dog, Lucky, since he was a puppy up until he passed away due to old age at 17 years. I now have a 6 year old Shiba Inu, Sumi, and a 10 year old cat, Ellie. Sumi was a rescue mill mama and was extremely fearful. With patience and love, she's finally come out of her shell. I've managed to teach both the dog and the cat tricks and work on training with them daily. I have a very flexible schedule at the moment and am home most of the day. I'll stick to whatever schedule your pet is used to so there won't be any confusion when they return to you. Our neighborhood is pretty large and also has a walking trail, so walks can be as short or long as you'd like. There's a dog friendly space downstairs with plenty of room to run around and play with toys, or if they prefer to chill, there's plenty of pet beds and blankets in the living room. I have a very chill and friendly Shiba Inu and Husky/Shepherd mix at home that can keep your dog company. I do have a cat that has their own room and can be separated if your dog doesn't get along with cats. I also have a large crate and two pens available if that's something you're used to doing. Baby gates are set up between each floor, but are usually left open for my dog. There are cameras on each floor so that I can keep an eye on the pets if I'm leaving the home or on a different floor.

Katie is fantastic! She was an excellent care giver when a crisis arose. Mcat passed away in her care due to underlying conditions none of us knew about. Her quick response to get him to the er vet and contact my emergency contacts was amazing. I was out of reach at the time due to timezone differences. She did a great job handling such a difficult situation. I absolutely would hire her again.

Betty took great care of our two cats. She also did a great job communicating, letting us know if she was going to be a bit late to a check-in and even sending pictures of proof of cleaning the litter boxes 🙂. She also made friends with our less social cat, which was wonderful to see!

Big thanks to Natalia and Edward for taking such amazing care of our two cats! They were very attentive and communicative and made sure everything went smooth while we were away. I could tell my cats were happy and well-loved, which says a lot of the care Natalia and Edward provided. I really appreciated the updates—they kept me totally at ease. I am particularly thankful for the daily pictures and for flagging that one of the automatic feeders wasn't working properly. Reach out to them if you’re looking for trustworthy pet sitters.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Windham Manor. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
