“My dog Duke loved his time with Ashley each day, twice a day for a week. It was daily complete and total professionalism. Each visit included feeding, changing water, administration of medication, walking and playing with him. Absolutely recommend her and plan to have her help again in the future.”

“What a great first time experience on Rover with Astrid! She was friendly, communicative and thoughtful; her love for animals really showed. Thank you for taking care of our Mellow!”

About: Hi! My name is Renee and I’ve been taking care of animals for most of my life. I grew up in a household with many different kinds of pets including dogs, rodents, and reptiles. I currently own two small dogs, Shih Tzu and Maltese mixes, one is 13 and the other is 3. I love all animals and am comfortable with them all. I’m currently unemployed so I have tons of time to care for and play with your furry friends! I’m mostly available on weekends as I have responsibilities weekdays, but I’m very flexible! I have a fenced in yard. I would keep my dogs separate just as a proactive measure since they are small. In your home I would care for your precious pet how you see fit!
“I highly recommend Marina! She’s timely, attentive and it’s been so easy communicate my dog’s needs with her. She sends me pictures after every visit and she lets me know right way if there are any issues. I’ll centrally ask for her services again!”

“This was our second time booking Teffni, and once again, she was absolutely fantastic! We have three cats and Teffni is so patient and attentive with each of their personalities. She also carefully managed their different food routines. We loved getting regular updates and photos during each visit. We came home to three content, well-cared-for cats. We’ll definitely continue booking with Teffni! Highly recommend!”

“Nichole was wonderful with our cats and cockatiels! She sent us photo updates, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. Our pets warmed up to her surprisingly quickly, and it was clear they were well cared for. We will definitely be booking Nichole again for our future trips. Highly recommend!”

“Maura was absolutely wonderful with Duchess! This was my first time leaving Duchess home without me for several days, so I was definitely a little nervous, but Maura made the entire experience so much easier. She was attentive, spent quality time with her, took her on walks, and made sure she was comfortable and well cared for. I especially appreciated how consistent Maura was with sending updates and pictures and letting me know how Duchess was doing throughout the day. I would absolutely book with Maura again. I think Duchess may have officially found herself a new babysitter!”

So appreciative of the care Ashley provided to our kitty while we were away. Our cat tends to get pretty stressed and upset when we’re away. Ashley kindly brought her treats and fun toys (including mazes with treats inside!) to keep our cat entertained and help try to keep her spirits up. Truly grateful to Ashley!

Matilda was very communicative and did a great job caring for my cat, cleaning the litter, checking on the water, and playing with my cat. She did a great job paying attention to what my cat needed and giving her space when she needed it. Would book her again!

I cannot say enough good things about having Kim as our cat sitter. My last trip, she accommodated multiple scheduling changes. When one of my babies was particularly struggling with the separation, she took special care of him, was flexible with modifying longer visits, and amply communicated and reassured me.
Nichole took great care of my cat! She followed her feeding and cleaning routine well and was very communicative with updates. She was also reliable and responsible, and I never had to worry about my cat while under her care. Most importantly, she earned my shy cat's trust quickly 😺. I highly recommend Nichole for all pet care needs!
Katie is fantastic! She was an excellent care giver when a crisis arose. Mcat passed away in her care due to underlying conditions none of us knew about. Her quick response to get him to the er vet and contact my emergency contacts was amazing. I was out of reach at the time due to timezone differences. She did a great job handling such a difficult situation. I absolutely would hire her again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
