About: I started sitting in earnest four years ago, but grew up with my own dogs and often babysat for friends and family in high school and college. I’ve cared for Greyhounds, Border Collies, Shihtzus, Golden Retrievers, Corgis, APBTs, one Mastiff, one Akita, one senior German Shpeherd, and one Border Terrier/Shihtzu puppy. I’m a teaching artist, so my fluctuating schedule doesn’t allow me to have my own dogs, but the long periods of remote work and time between gigs means I have very flexible availability and can fill the hole in my heart by being a reliable, loving sitter for others. I really cherish any opportunity to spend time with any pups and look forward to meeting yours! I’m between gigs at the moment, so save some odd appointments, I’m available for morning, afternoon, or evening drop in walks, daytime sitting, or longer overnight stays and in-home sitting. I always prefer to take a walk with pet parents leading when I first meet new dogs to get a sense of what they’re used to. For multi-day sitting, I always follow whatever norms you set in your home to make sure training stays consistent and there’s no confusion that may create anxiety for your pups. If working remotely, I try to stay where pups can see me and take lots of breaks for walks, pottying, and pets. Unless you have a specific walking route, I like to stay on quieter streets with slower speed limits and less traffic so walks are calm. I also like to allow lots of time for sniffing (smells stimulate your pup’s brain!) unless you have behavioral or training concerns about avoiding distractions during walks.
“Gio was an excellent dog walker. She helped me when my current dog walker could not continue walking buddy. She reported all the details of the visit efficiently and gave us peace of mind. She was informative and responsible. This was my first time using rover and I had a great experience thanks to Gio. She has a true love for dogs and what she does. I will definitely work with her in the future.”

“Gabrielle was very responsive and they were accommodating of my wanting an initial meet/greet introduction. They let me know when they arrived and again when wrapped up the walk; gGreat service. Thank you!”

“Thank you so much, Marina, for taking such great care of my pup! If you’re looking for an amazing dog walker, look no further—Marina’s the best. She was super easy to communicate with and kept me updated with pictures, gave him fresh water after walks, and even managed to get him in his cage during training. But what I loved most was her detailed report! I’ll definitely be rebooking with her!”

“Teffni was great! She was always on time, friendly, and my dog Chai was so comfortable with her. Chai was always excited to go with Teffni and always came back good and tired out.”

With a nurturing touch and a keen eye for details, I’m here to give your pet the care they deserve while giving you peace of mind. As a student, I’ve organized my schedule to make plenty of time for pet care. Caring for animals is a wonderful way to balance my studies with something I’m passionate about. I plan my days carefully so I can provide consistent, loving care, whether that’s walks, playtime, or sticking to your pet’s routines. Spending time with animals is not just a responsibility—it’s a highlight of my week! In my home, I create a warm, safe environment where pets can feel comfortable and loved. I ensure plenty of playtime, cuddles, and a quiet space for rest, following your pet’s routine to keep them happy and stress-free. Whether at my home or yours, I focus on making pets feel secure and cared for, so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.
“Carla was on time and sent me pictures of the walk she took with my dog. I appreciate her help and she has been flexible with my confusing schedule. Would recommend and plan to use her services again in the future.”

“Azucena was amazing with our Yorkie Amelia!!!! She was very kind and had a lot of patience with her as she is a little unsure around strangers. She took her for walkies and let her sniff to her hearts desire, gave her medication, wiped her paws to remove the harsh snow melt, and was excellent at keeping us updated. We are so glad we found her!!!!”

It is my top priority for pet parents to feel comfortable I have a 2 year old chiweenie at home and her name is Maya! I recently adopted her in 2026. She is truly the heart of my family. I feed her twice a day, we like to go outside, sunbathe, Play with toys and cuddles!! For Safety, I think the most important thing is to listen to pet parents on their schedule and daily routine . It’s important to follow this balanced schedule to keep animals happy rather than stressed . This includes feeding, going outside and enrichment .
About: I’ve been working closely with dogs since I was four years old. We moved around a lot growing up and I would always helped her readjust to feel safe in new areas. I would get to know neighbors’ and friends’ pets, and with this early life experience, I’m a natural at getting pets to feel comfortable with me. I have experience working with senior dogs and dogs in recovery from injury, as well as dogs who have been rescued or traumatized by scary situations. I am currently in school, so my schedule is extremely flexible. I typically have 1-2 classes per weekday, either in the morning or at night, leaving the majority of my schedule open for pet care. I always make sure pets’ emotional needs are taken care of. For example, I pay very close attention to body language. At home, if my dog is ever purposefully ignoring me, I check with her to see if something is wrong.
“Luisa is the absolute BEST! Alpha is not very keen to new people but Alpha LOVES Luisa! She also makes sure he receives her full 30 mins, he eats and drinks plenty of water. She communicates every step of the way. We love Luisa and hope we can continue using her!”

About: I’ve taken care of and grew up around dogs since I was a kid. I also own a 6-year old dog in MD, my sweet girl Stormi, a German Shepherd/Chihuahua rescue that I’ve raised since 2020. I’ve taught her a few tricks in American Sign Language’s and we’ve also developed a few other communication cues. Pet care fits into my daily and weekly routine very well! I’m a professional basketball player going overseas much later in the fall! Feel free to negotiate times as I am able to be flexible. I am very alert and have a natural instinct for pet-sitting such as knowing when they’re trying to communicate with me about bathroom time, needing attention, and when something fishy is going on or someone at the door.
About: Hi! My name is Renee and I’ve been taking care of animals for most of my life. I grew up in a household with many different kinds of pets including dogs, rodents, and reptiles. I currently own two small dogs, Shih Tzu and Maltese mixes, one is 13 and the other is 3. I love all animals and am comfortable with them all. I’m currently unemployed so I have tons of time to care for and play with your furry friends! I’m mostly available on weekends as I have responsibilities weekdays, but I’m very flexible! I have a fenced in yard. I would keep my dogs separate just as a proactive measure since they are small. In your home I would care for your precious pet how you see fit!

“Landy is great! Excellent communication and truly cares about my pups. She’s comfortable giving meds and asked great questions that shows she’s on top of it. Also she sent adorable photos of them on the walk! 🐾🦴”

Molly is very responsible and caring and easy to work with. She took the time to get to know our dogs, showed up on time for every scheduled walk, and provided a thorough report about their outings. I love working with Molly and the dogs really feel safe with her. I highly recommend her!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
