“Marina walked Thor last minute 3 times this week and made our lives so much easier coordinating care for our dog while we were out of town. We are so lucky to have found her and trust her wholeheartedly.”

“Jane was great! I could tell from how relaxed my little boy was when I got home each day that he felt really comfortable with her. Her walks were always on time, she sent photos and responded to questions I had about my dog’s health. I would definitely recommend her.”

“Catherine was absolutely wonderful! She was so accommodating with my schedule, and I’m so grateful for the amazing care she took of Sadie. It gave me such peace of mind knowing Sadie was in good hands. I will definitely be using Catherine again, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and accommodating dog walker. Thank you so much, Catherine!”

“Carla was on time and sent me pictures of the walk she took with my dog. I appreciate her help and she has been flexible with my confusing schedule. Would recommend and plan to use her services again in the future.”

About: Hi! My name is Renee and I’ve been taking care of animals for most of my life. I grew up in a household with many different kinds of pets including dogs, rodents, and reptiles. I currently own two small dogs, Shih Tzu and Maltese mixes, one is 13 and the other is 3. I love all animals and am comfortable with them all. I’m currently unemployed so I have tons of time to care for and play with your furry friends! I’m mostly available on weekends as I have responsibilities weekdays, but I’m very flexible! I have a fenced in yard. I would keep my dogs separate just as a proactive measure since they are small. In your home I would care for your precious pet how you see fit!
“Charnae did great with Sofie. Sofie is never tired but after her walk she was pooped. Glad she is getting the exercise she needs during the day and I have Charnae to thank for that.”

About: I’ve been involved with pet care my whole life! I’ve volunteered at PAW here in Maryland and worked as a Pet-care Specialist, Dog walker, and Pet sitter for cats, dogs, birds, reptiles, fish, and other small pets. I am knowledgeable in administering medicine to pets, and understanding animal body language. I’m currently doing pet care full-time! When I’m not caring for my own pets, I’m always looking for ways to help people care for theirs! I currently only have weekday availability. I always approach pets with care and respect! I understand that it’s possible for pets to come from all types of backgrounds, and am committed to making your pets feel the most comfortable they can!
“Trinity has been an excellent daytime walker for my dog. She’s reliable and communicative, but most importantly she takes great care of my pup. I definitely would recommend her to anyone interested.”
About: I have had animals all my life and I truly love caring for them. I am patient, responsible, and attentive. I enjoy spending time with pets, making sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for. I am currently a student, so I am available in the afternoons and evenings. I can also be available on weekends depending on the schedule. I am responsible and will make sure to be on time and consistent with pet care. I provide a safe and clean environment for pets and always follow the owner’s instructions carefully. I make sure pets are comfortable, well-fed, and get enough exercise and attention. I am patient, responsible, and always keep a close eye on them to ensure their safety at all times.
“Leroy was so good with my boy even when he would pull his leash out of excitement and just handled him really well. He listened to all download. I gave him about Ranger and put me at ease immediately. I was out of town for work so he picked my boy up from my parents and ended up chatting with them. Also just showing what an overall friendly and helpful person he is I would recommend him to others and my Boy being a lab is strong and he handled him really well.”

Astrid adores my pup and the feeling is very mutual.I tI booked a last minute Saturday dog walk so my pJack wouldn't be home alone all day while I entertained of town guests. Astrid came by walked Jack and refilled his kibble. She knows the exact spots on Jacks neck and behind his ears to scratch so he just loves Astrid after only a few short weeks. She is very responsive and everything we could ever want in a dog walker. Highly recommend!.

I highly recommend Tiera! She has been walking my boy, Ozzy, and has been wonderful from day one. She is dependable, professional, and always arrives at the agreed upon time. I never have to worry because I know Ozzy is in good hands. One of the things I appreciate most is that she sends photos during every walk, which gives me peace of mind and lets me see what Ozzy is doing during their walk. She is also patient, caring, and attentive to his needs, and it's obvious she genuinely loves the dogs she works with. If you're looking for someone who is reliable and trustworthy, I wholeheartedly recommend her.

Maria has been just exceptional! She’s been walking my boy regularly for the last few weeks and she really puts her heart into looking after him. It was too hot to take him out for a full 1/2 hour so she spent the remainder of the time playing with and petting him. She’s also been great at letting me know how he’s been during the day. I’d highly recommend her!

This was our first time having someone take Penny for her walks and Marina made it easy for us to feel comfortable about it! She was professional and Penny loved her! And we loved getting the Rover cards and pictures. Highly recommend Marina to care for your pets!!!
Jeramy was a life saver! Came at the last minute for me after another walker cancelled. We had a little trouble with the lock but she was so patient and figured it out! I was out of town so I was glad to be reassured she made it in to walk the boys. Thanks again Jeramy!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
