About: I can do anything from walking to giving baths or from filling food and water to providing medicine 🐾 I’m okay with dogs of all ages and sizes from puppies to pitbulls and from the sick to the elderly 🙂 I can work remotely so it fits in quite easily. Jules was with us only briefly due to her advanced age when she was adopted, while Gemini is a much younger kitten who wasted no time claiming my home as her own. I also recently lost my 10 year old corgi (Sadie) unexpectedly to an extremely aggressive form of cancer, and so would love the opportunity to spend some therapeutic time with your furry kid. Prior to beginning work through Rover, I have several years of experience caring for cats and dogs for a variety of friends, family, and neighbors including everything from drop-in visits and dog walking to full-time house/petsitting. Outside of my petsitting duties, I am a PhD chemist working hard to make the battery in your phone last longer and your electric car drive further. With dogs, I’m very patient and comfortable with all personalities, including high-energy, excitable, or anxious dogs. I focus on calm and respectful handling and try to help very anxious dogs feel safe by giving them space, approaching slowly, and using gentle reassurance like calm voice and light petting on their side when appropriate, making sure to avoid direct eye contact when meeting them for the first time (dog code for "I'm chill"). I pay attention to body language and always aim to build trust rather than pressure them into an interaction. If a dog is acting out, I redirect their attention and follow any training or behavior instructions provided by the owner. With cats, I’m used to reading their behavior and giving them the space or attention they want. I understand that many cats are super independent and are protective about their space, but I also enjoy working with affectionate, social cats. I have experience caring for kittens, including feeding and basic hands-on care, as well as senior cats who may need routine medication or any extra attention.

They made me feel very comfortable by having a visit before my vacation so that I was able to meet them and see their home and that helped to know it was a perfect fit. They were in constant communication answering text anytime and sending pictures that will of the good times they were having with my pit. I give them credit because some people here that I have a pitbull and get totally turned off and feel some kind of way, but they were completely open to him and invited him in like one of the family. She’s incredibly understanding and flexible—especially on the days when I’m running behind schedule—and her kindness and loving energy truly shines through in everything she does, especially with fur babies. I love that she provides regular feedback on Kylo and truly pays attention to his needs. She even takes him on walks with her pup, Skittles, which he absolutely enjoys! “Rebecca was absolutely wonderful. My dog stayed with her for 10 days and had a great time. She took daily walks and weekly hikes, which he loved. She also understood my anxiety about boarding him for the first time and was willing to do meet him multiple times beforehand. Plus I could tell she bonded with him and formed a genuine connection, which is the best situation when you have to be away. She was kind and had a very calm energy while doing the activities needed to keep a high energy dog manageable. Honestly was a great experience and would highly recommend..”

About: I’ve always taken care of dogs since I was 10 years old. I begged my mom to get me a dog around that time as well. I promised her I would take care of the dog and do all I needed to do. With that being said I became a pet owner and trained my dog all by myself . From the simple commands, and crate training. I love to treat my current dog(Chloe) like a baby. From cuddles, long walks, nice tasty treats and all the love I can possibly give her. Sometimes I do travel and when I do its hard to find someone to keep Chloe. I realized I can’t be the only one who has experienced this . I am new to the app. I am ready to spread the love in my area. Please feel free to reach out with any questions. Can’t wait to meet you ! I do work full tine Monday-Friday. I have a Hybrid schedule. I work from home Tuesdays and Fridays . I am open on weekends ! I have a spacious apartment. We also have dog parks in my complex.
