“Marlin was awesome while watching my cat Buckeye. She really put me at ease about leaving her with a sitter for the first time. Marlin was quick to ask questions and respond when needed, even provided me updates on how my cat was doing. I would absolutely recommend Marlin as a sitter to anyone in need and will be booking again in the future. Thanks Marlin!”

“She was great with Rock as she also was very patient with us being delayed by flights. He looked happy over there and well taken care of. Will definitely book again”

“Rebecca was wonderful! She was flexible with drop off and pick up. Nikko was excited to see her, which made me even more comfortable with leaving. He was well cared for and happy. That is what is most important. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great sitter!”

“Payton and her husband were awesome! Our dogs had such an incredible time with them, they almost didn’t want to leave. They provided updates regularly and lots of mental stimulation and walks for our pups. Can’t wait to use them again!”

“Rebeka was absolutely amazing! She took great care of Titus and kept me updated with regular photos and messages, which gave me so much peace of mind. I could tell Titus was comfortable and well cared for, highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and attentive sitter!”
“Nadia was a pleasure to work with, prompt responses, professional and courteous, sent pictures of our dog every day, we will definitely book with Nadia in the future!”

“Our Lab, Lucy, loves going to Geneen's. She finds the yard and waterfall tremendously fun and has a blast with any other dogs who might be there (never too many at one time, and Geneen gives thought to the dog social dynamics). We receive regular photos and updates and always rest easy while we're traveling.”

“Hello everyone, If you ever need a pet sitter, Paul is the person for you. My cats were very nervous when I brought them to Paul, but due to Paul's patience and understanding of cats, my cats finally started coming out from hiding from under the couch.....LOL! His pet sitting experience is amazing and I will definitely contact him again if I need a pet sitter.”
“Christian is always soo sweet and takes care of our 2 doggies so well! They always look forward to going to see her!!! We have used daycare and boarding with Christian and the doggies leave happy and healthy!”

“Awesome service! He took my pups in at the last minute, sent pictures, took them for walks, and made them feel comfortable. Provided special attention to one of my pups that has really bad separation anxiety. I highly recommend if you want someone that will treat your pups as his own, this is your guy!”

“This is my second time leaving my eccentric dog that expects to be treated like a queen with Danielle and she and her gorgeous kids did not disappoint. Sasha ended up sleeping in the bed between Danielle and her daughter without a worry in the world.🤣🤣🙈🙈. Sasha HATES TO LEAVE HER HOUSE! It’s actually embarrassing! But I guess if I was getting serenaded by Danielle’s daughter and treated like royalty I wouldn’t want to leave either. I wish I could give Danielle 100 stars. She is one in a million.”

“Masha and her family were awesome! We have a dog that is reactive to other dogs and requires medication. We really appreciate the care and attention they gave our dog. We got updates and pictures letting us know all is well with him and that was very reassuring. We would definitely love to leave him with Masha and her family again.”

“With a senior dog, we do get nervous about leaving mango new places. I would say within five minutes of the meet and greet it was clear that Shanilka and her husband would be taking great care of him. They asked all the right questions and during our stay sent regular updates to make sure we knew he was in good hands. Would definitely use again!”

“Stephanie was such a great host to my dog Bruno, she maintained communication/updates throughout the visit and was very attentive to my instructions for Bruno given he has a hard time adjusting to new places. Would definitely book with them again! -Lindsay”

“Alex and Daniel were absolutely incredible dog sitters. They were communicative, sending frequent photos and updates, and took extremely thoughtful and loving care of my dog, Pip. They really went above and beyond, brushing him, taking him on lots of walks, and clearly provided him with a warm, kind, and comfy home. We are so grateful to them for taking such good care of Pip, and can’t wait to book with them again for our next trip.”

“This was my very first time letting someone outside of my family watch my dog Zoie, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Nettie was absolutely amazing. She was super responsive, knowledgeable, and had such a calm, positive energy that instantly put me at ease. I could tell right away that Zoie was in great hands. Nettie gave me regular updates and treated Zoie with so much care and attention. She will definitely be my go-to sitter from now on whenever she’s available. Highly recommend!”

“Chad and Regina took great care of my dog Honey. And the spoiled her (for good) 😊. They both are genuine caretakers! Plus for easy communication, easy drop off and pick, and flexibility with time. Highly recommended!”

About: I’ve always taken care of dogs since I was 10 years old. I begged my mom to get me a dog around that time as well. I promised her I would take care of the dog and do all I needed to do. With that being said I became a pet owner and trained my dog all by myself . From the simple commands, and crate training. I love to treat my current dog(Chloe) like a baby. From cuddles, long walks, nice tasty treats and all the love I can possibly give her. Sometimes I do travel and when I do its hard to find someone to keep Chloe. I realized I can’t be the only one who has experienced this . I am new to the app. I am ready to spread the love in my area. Please feel free to reach out with any questions. Can’t wait to meet you ! I do work full tine Monday-Friday. I have a Hybrid schedule. I work from home Tuesdays and Fridays . I am open on weekends ! I have a spacious apartment. We also have dog parks in my complex. Lastly my favorite a few different trails/ lakes that I love to walk currently.

Paola took wonderful care of our Boston Terrier, Sasha! From the very beginning, she was incredibly communicative, keeping us updated with messages and photos throughout Sasha’s stay. Those updates gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was obvious that Paola genuinely cared about Sasha and made her feel comfortable and loved. Sasha came home happy, relaxed, and well cared for. We truly appreciated Paola’s kindness, reliability, and attention to detail. We would absolutely trust her with Sasha again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and dependable pet sitter!

We used Jeramy as a last minute sitter when our original plans fell through, and we were so happy with the experience! Our dog can be a nervous with new people, but she loved Jeramy and had a great time during her stay. She also sent lots of pictures and videos to keep us in the loop. We will definitely be using her again :)

I highly recommend Nick for cat sitting! He boarded my cat, Scotty, for 10 days and did a fantastic job. Nick followed all my instructions to the letter, sent me daily pictures so I knew Scotty was doing well, and Scotty really took to him right away. The absolute best part was that Nick offered pickup and delivery services, which was a total lifesaver since I was pressed for time to catch my flight. I will definitely use Nick's services again!

Lily was so kind and accommodating. She took a last minute booking for my boy Kash. My first time booking with her and she was so professional, and kept me informed the entire trip. She was even able to keep him for an extra night when my trip was delayed, and dropped him off for me the next day. 10 out of 10, amazing dog sitter. Thanks Lily:)

Melanie took care of my great Pyrenees and made her feel right at home. I was gone for a week over Christmas break and she had no issues whatsoever. My dog came back happy, healthy, and tuckered out from playing with the other dogs in Melanie's care. Highly recommend this sitter and will be booking again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
