“Please use this review as your sign to book with Yosef! Yosef was gracious with scheduling, awesome with communication, made sure all dogs in his care were comfortable and cared for. I wish I could drop a picture or video of how happy my bully was to see him and how mad he was to leave. With such a friendly dog, the latter is a key indicator of how his time was. 10/5 stars and a big thank you!”

“We’re so thankful for Alex and Daniel. Ella adores them and we can always trust that when we’re away, she’s in the very best of hands under their care.”

“Brian was great caring for our Koda. He provided updates and pictures throughtout Koda's stay. Koda enjoyed running around in Brian's back yard and meeting new fur friends. I will definitely use Brian again in the future!”

“Victor has watched our pup several times and has always been dependable, caring and attentive. We receive daily updates and pictures. Our dog definitely has a great time at Victor’s!”

“Luisa was amazing! She fit my peach in her schedule last minute and was also able to accommodate an extra night that i unexpectedly had to find care. Sent me pictures and notified me of peach while i was gone. Would definitely recommend her for your fur babies!”

“We couldn't be happier with Michelle and Stacy’s boarding services for our dog Tucker! They were incredibly accommodating with pick-up and drop-off times, making the whole process stress-free. The photo updates they sent were a lovely touch, allowing us to see Tucker having a great time. Most importantly, they provided Tucker with everything he loves: plenty of outdoor time, snuggles, and treats. It's clear they truly care about the well-being and happiness of the dogs in their care. We'll definitely be returning customers!”
“Precious was wonderful! She was very communicative throughout Orlando’s 5-day and kept us updated with plenty of great pictures. We could tell through the pictures and consistent communication that our pup was comfortable and being well taken care of. We had a great experience and will definitely be using Precious again”

“Nadia was spectacular! She walked Ginsburg regularly and kept us updated on her activities, most regularly with photos. She wanted to send more updates, but I shared that it was unnecessary. Periodically would be fine. As a new owner of a 6-month-old puppy, and a first-time boarder, I know that puppy-energy can sometimes be a challenge. Nadia took it all in stride, providing a safe and suitable environment…and assuaging any trepidations we may have had as first-time Rover users. Thx, Nadia!”

“Eli is so awesome! I had to change my schedule a few times and he is always very flexible!! My Skittles loves him so much!! Eli sent me plenty of pictures, he is definitely my first pick for sitting for my baby girl Skittles!!”

“Rebecca and her family were amazing! She sent daily pics and made sure my pup was well loved and cared for. She was also super flexible and accommodating. Would definitely book with her again!”

“Merritt had a great time staying with Jessica and Max. Jessica set me photos throughout the stay, which provided confirmation that he had settled in quickly and was having a great time. I will definitely be utilizing her services again.”

“Amani is great and such a sweet soul! She took care of our pup, Beaux, for two weeks. She sent pictures and videos which made being away from him that much easier. She also helped bring our puppy out of his shell by getting him acclimated to dog parks. Seeing our puppy and her son play together was the icing on the cake. We're so thankful for her! She has a client for life in us.”

“We left our dog Pepper with Karen and Dale for a week when we went on vacation. They provided numerous photos and videos during the stay and it was clear that took good care of Pepper. We wouldn't hesitate to use them again”

About: I’ve always had a strong love for animals and plenty of hands-on experience caring for them. I have four dogs and three cats of my own, so I’m very comfortable with feeding, walking, playtime, cleaning up after pets, and making sure they feel safe and comfortable. I understand that every animal has their own personality, routine, and needs, and I’m patient and attentive when getting to know them. I’m responsible, caring, and treat every pet I look after like they’re part of my own family. I enjoy giving animals plenty of attention, exercise, and affection while making sure their owners feel confident that their pets are in good hands. Pet care is already a regular part of my daily routine because I have four dogs and three cats of my own. I’m used to keeping consistent feeding, walking, playtime, and cleaning schedules throughout the day. I enjoy spending time with animals and making sure they get the attention and care they need. Because pet care is already part of my everyday life, I’m comfortable working it into my schedule and being dependable with other people’s pets as well. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I focus on keeping them safe, comfortable, and on their normal routine. I follow the owner’s instructions for feeding, walks, playtime, medications if needed, bathroom breaks, and bedtime routines. In my home, I make sure pets have a clean, safe space and plenty of attention. In a client’s home, I respect their space and keep everything clean and organized while making sure their pets feel comfortable and cared for. I also give regular updates so owners can feel reassured that their pets are doing well.
“Mariah always comes back to us happier than when she left. Haydenn is a great communicator and gives frequent pupdates. More importantly, he has a way with dogs like no other. We are so grateful to have him in ours/Mariahs life!”

Paola took such good care of our two tiny 5 lb maltipoos and sent us regular updates with pictures. It really put us at ease to know that she’s a former vet tech and could attend to a medical emergency if that were to happen. She was also understanding of the fact that our maltipoos are rescue dogs with a traumatic past. She was very patient dealing with their antics and peculiarities. When we picked them up, we could tell that they had been cared for and loved with plenty of cuddles and pets.

It was a long 35 days without our dogs, but they were in good hands with Olivia and her family. My dogs gave Olivia some challenges along the way with eloping, etc. —- probably because they are not used to us being away from them for so long. Olivia handled the headaches our dogs gave her with grace. She was very transparent with things, which we truly appreciate. Thank you!

The nicest! Phill cared for our dog, he didn't just keep her while we were gone. Thoughtfully communicated how she was adjusting to her new surroundings, and was engaged with her to learn her personality. Our girl is a 50lb Micro Bully and he had no trouble with our lil' tank, adjusting her walks so she could manage the summer heat. We're grateful, Phill. Thank you!

I highly recommend Nick for cat sitting! He boarded my cat, Scotty, for 10 days and did a fantastic job. Nick followed all my instructions to the letter, sent me daily pictures so I knew Scotty was doing well, and Scotty really took to him right away. The absolute best part was that Nick offered pickup and delivery services, which was a total lifesaver since I was pressed for time to catch my flight. I will definitely use Nick's services again!

Lily was so kind and accommodating. She took a last minute booking for my boy Kash. My first time booking with her and she was so professional, and kept me informed the entire trip. She was even able to keep him for an extra night when my trip was delayed, and dropped him off for me the next day. 10 out of 10, amazing dog sitter. Thanks Lily:)

Melanie took care of my great Pyrenees and made her feel right at home. I was gone for a week over Christmas break and she had no issues whatsoever. My dog came back happy, healthy, and tuckered out from playing with the other dogs in Melanie's care. Highly recommend this sitter and will be booking again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
