“Christin and James were simply amazing. They accepted my request last minute and took very good care of my dog. They constantly updated me with pictures which gave me and my children immense peace of mind. I would definitely use their care in the future and recommend them.”

“He cared for our pup in his home for 9 days, and we couldn't have been happier. He was affordable, professional, communicative, and genuinely kind. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing our dog was in great hands while we were away. We highly recommend him!”

“Sabrina was absolutely amazing. From the moment we met her, I felt like I was leaving Vixen with family rather than a sitter. Vixen immediately felt comfortable with her, which meant so much to me. Sabrina handled everything perfectly — she gave Vixen her medication without any issues and followed her Farmers Dog feeding routine exactly. She kept us in communication the entire time, sent plenty of updates and pictures, and truly gave me peace of mind while I was away. I can’t recommend Sabrina enough. Anyone would be lucky to have her care for their pet.”

“Angela was amazing! She was so kind, attentive, and kept our dog active and happy while we were away. She is a true animal lover! We really appreciated all the updates, photos, and videos, it gave us so much peace of mind. Highly recommend her and would absolutely book again! 🐾”

“Moana had a great stay! She’s pretty shy and anxious so I appreciated the patience they had with her while she got more comfortable. She looked calm and happy as can be in all the photo and video updates. Would definitely book again!”

“Nicholas was super awesome. My dog took to him right away and Nicholas was just superb with Po. He was very good about sending pictures and just never once made me feel like I was missing anything. I would highly recommend Nicholas and will use him in the future for sure”

“We booked with Marcella before, and we are just as pleased this time around! Marcella is wonderful and Caesar is so sweet. Our dog Addie stayed willingly and we could see how well-taken care of and how well she did in the pictures and videos Marcella sent. We had peace of mind being away overnight and Addie had fun!”

About: I’ve been a fur mom to two senior cats, Ana and Tyler, since they were kittens. I’ve cared for friends and neighbors’ pets including cats, dogs and other pets. I’m reliable and want to make sure every pet has the care they need while their parents are away. I’m available for drop-ins on weekdays before 10am and after 6pm. I’m also available for drop-ins on weekends before 12pm, and Sundays after 4pm. I can crate a small dog in my home for overnight boarding. I can also come to your home to feed and spend time with your cat or dog.
“This was my second time leaving my rescue dog, Tao, with Rouday, and both experiences have been great. He was understanding of Tao's occasional timidity after being bounced between multiple shelters as a puppy. I also appreciate that he makes dog sitting a family affair, which has been great for Tao's socialization. I'd definitely recommend Rouday to anyone looking for a reliable dog sitter!”

“Colleen took wonderful care of our cockapoo for 3 days. She sent photos several times and provided photos. She also was able to give some eyedrops several times per day that our dog required. My dog seemed content and well cared for. Thank you.”

“This lovely couple is my fur baby’s preferred boarder. He’s stayed with them now more than 3x and when I use this app, I always rebook with them. They are kind, share updates and have a clean and safe home. My little guy - typically shy - is excited when he stays with them. 5 out 5 stars”

“Link was well taken care of. Mark gave daily updates and he took amazing pictures. Link is an anxious dog, but I could see as the days went on he was looking more and more relaxed in the pics. 10/10”

“This was our first time utilizing Rover and stumbled across April’s profile and decided to use her to take care of our precious Blue. April had amazing energy and greeted us with smiles and hugs! While having a busy wedding weekend April made sure to send us updated pictures each day which put our mind at ease. Blue was very well taken care of and we will be back to give April our business again! Thank you April!”

“They did a wonderful job caring for Opie while we were out of town, we got several updates and pictures throughout his stay. We’ve done daycare with them a few times as well and he’s always so excited to go back! Will definitely use again in the future”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Glenn Dale
Asha was amazing! I would recommend her to anyone to care for their pet. Our surprise stray adopted kitten stayed with her for a week while we were out of town. Asha gave daily updates, and clearly enjoyed our little cat as much as we do. She gave our cat a happy, caring home, and I am so grateful.

Tonya and her family took exceptional care of our Rottweiler, Hero, while we were away on vacation. From the start, they were communicative, attentive, and clearly experienced, which gave us great peace of mind. Hero was happy, well-exercised, and clearly loved during his stay. We especially appreciated the regular updates and photos, which made it easy to relax knowing he was in such good hands. It’s obvious that Tonya and her family treat every pet like part of their own family. We would absolutely trust them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, caring pet sitters.

Kiki was amazing with my corgi pup, Mushu! She's a true professional and kept me updated every day with adorable photos and videos, which gave me so much peace of mind during Mushu's first extended boarding stay. It was clear that Mushu was happy, well cared for, and having a great time. Mushu and I can't wait to book with Kiki again!

Crystal is my forever sitter! Every time I get my lil man back he is calm and glowing. He has been coming out of his shell thanks to her loving care and creative enrichment. My shy, old guy even plays tug and initiates play with other dogs now! It’s so great to see this side of him. Thanks Crystal for always taking such good care of Scooter 🙏🏾

So happy to have found Estela. She is very good with Dexter, who is not open to everyone. I go away on vacations knowing that he is in good hands. Estela is wonderful to work with and responds quickly. I appreciate that she lets me modify my booking when needed to extend the time. She stays in contact with photos. I am grateful to have her care for Dexter.
Marissa’s home is so welcoming that my pup settles in just like it’s her own house. She gets to play with her new friends. I know that when I pick her up she’s going to be both excited to see me but sad to leave such a great home! We will continue to have Marissa watch my pup knowing she’s in amazing hands!!

Samsara and her daughter, Layla, were absolutely fantastic with Oliver. As we drove up, Layla came toward the car and you could see her excitement and enthusiasm. It was comforting to know that my dog was going to be in a home which truly appreciated dogs. Samsara and myself discussed rules and expectations, another comfort because the process assured we would be on the same page. Wonderful communication, wonderful times, wonderful choice. You can’t go wrong if you choose Samsara and Layla!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
