“Joseph was very communicative and shared pictures of our pups with us daily. He followed all directions we gave him and made sure our pups feel at home under his care. I would recommend Joseph as a pet sitter and would entrust him with watching our pups again in the future. Thanks for taking care of our babies!”

“Tommy was excellent with our Great Dane. He provided a daily update, funny stories, and had open lines of communication available to us if we ever needed it. Our pup felt like he was “home”…we have a new “Duncle” in the family!”

“Mo had so much fun staying with Malvi, Andrej, and Max for a week! Mo is a high energy dog, and they always make sure he gets enough attention and playtime in the backyard. They are very communicative and sent so many great pictures throughout his stay - we’ll continue booking Mo’s boarding here whenever they’re available!”

“Sabrina was phenomenal! She made my senior pup feel completely at home and cared for, and he even made a new best friend while he was with her. The attention, patience, and genuine love she showed gave me total peace of mind while I was away. I could tell she treated him like family. I highly recommend Sabrina to anyone looking for a reliable, thoughtful, and compassionate dog sitter! 🐾❤️”

“Joe was great—easy-going and accomodating. My dog had a great time with Joe and two other dogs! He messaged me updates and photos during the 7 days away from our dog, which was very reassuring. Joe even took my dog on a 5 mile run! Will definately book with Joe again. This was the first time using Rover.com, and I highly recommend. I also highly recommend your dog stay with JOE!”

“Austin & Majid were great Rovers for Hercules. They were very communicative and ensured Hercules was well looked after. We would definitely book with them again!”

“Chrismar is an excellent young woman. She took great care of Milo; she took him for walks at the park, let him sleep with her in her bed, and always kept me informed about my puppy. She is very responsible and caring. I would definitely request her services again. 🐶💛”

“This lovely couple is my fur baby’s preferred boarder. He’s stayed with them now more than 3x and when I use this app, I always rebook with them. They are kind, share updates and have a clean and safe home. My little guy - typically shy - is excited when he stays with them. 5 out 5 stars”

“Late review, but Bria was amazing and took great care of my puppers while I went on vacation. She consistently updated me and took plenty of photos of my dog trying to get accustomed to the new environment. I provided Bria with essential instructions and tips, and she followed them to the best of her ability. I would recommend using her services to watch your pet, as I plan to use her again :) thank you Bria for everything.”

“Kelly and Maurice were great! This was my first time boarding Smokey and they made him feel like he was apart of the family from all the pictures. He got to interact with other dogs and that is something I've been wanting. I'll definitely be contacting them again to watch him.”

“Very proactive in making sure belle was taken care of. Easy to communicate with and made the first time away from home in a new place a good experience”

“Cant say enough good things about Fathia! She used my go to person when I have to board Thelma the Great. She's attentive, nurturing and treats Thelma like one of the family. I am grateful for her competence and warmth and I always know that Thelma will have a great place to stay when I'm away!”

“I’m tempted to give a bad review, so no one discovers June. 😀 But … She is always fantastic with Quincy, and he seems very happy with her. For the second time in the last few months, we had to change our pickup date, and June was extremely understanding.”

“Love Beth T and Bastien for taking great care of my DogBaby! She sent pics every day and loved on him as much as he would allow. I love that her DogBaby shared and played with Atticus! Atti was in great hands. I highly recommend Beth T especially if your Frenchie needs someone great to care for him! Thanks Beth and Bastien❤️❤️”

“We went away for 9 nights , which is the longest we've left our dog! I was so anxious, but every anxiety was eased immediately! Cal and Kelly took such amazing care of our giant, spoiled chocolate lab! We got so many daily pictures and videos and could see how much love and attention he was getting ! I could really tell they were treating our pup as if he was there own and welcoming him right into their family ! They have a beautiful home and perfect yard! I am so thankful we found them and definitely will use every time we need a boarding place ! You can trust them 100% with your fur baby !”
About: I love animals and I have always had a variety of pets (both typical and unique) as beloved members of my family or cherished beings I’ve gotten the opportunity to spend time with. Some of the animals I’ve lived with or cared for include: dogs, cats, fish (salt and fresh), birds, hedgehogs, hamsters, reptiles, rabbits, pigs, and many more! I currently live in Hyattsville with my partner and our 4 beautiful rescue dogs (Havanese-6 y/o, Pomeranian-17 y/o, Husky-12 y/o, and Pittie-8 y/o). Over the years, my diverse and pawfict pack has taught me more and more about pet care. Especially my senior Pomeranian–whom I’ve had the privilege to love since he was a rambunctious puppy–now into his baby grandpa-hood, and hopefully into his twilight years. I look forward to walking dogs and meeting/sitting various pets in our neighborhood. Thank you for considering me to care for your special family member! My schedule can be somewhat flexible - if I know in advance I can change the days/hours I work. I currently work as a substitute teacher and part-time for parks and rec. When I’m working, my partner is usually home. On my off from work days, I’m available to sit and/or drop-in on your pet. On weekends my availability is variable, but I try my best to keep my Rover calendar up to date. My partner and I live in Hyattsville with our 4 dogs (Havanese-Maltese, Pomeranian, Husky mix, and Terrier mix). We have a fully fenced-in backyard and 2 separate living spaces in our home, giving us room for extra pups. Our home has one-step entry in the back, making it great for elderly dogs or dogs with joint problems.
“Bettina took great care of my Samson over the holiday weekend! Her pup got along great with him and they were taken on nice long walks together. I will be leaving Samson with her and her family in the future without doubt!”

“I genuinely cannot recommend McKinley enough! She is the sweetest, kindest, and most thoughtful sitter I could have ever asked for. From the moment I dropped Hamilton off, I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such amazing hands. She sent me daily photos and checked in throughout the day with updates on everything he was doing, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. I’ve honestly never seen Hamilton happier. He looked so comfortable, loved, and genuinely excited to be there, I think he was actually a little sad to leave, lol. It was so obvious that McKinley treated him like he was her own, and that meant the world to me. If you’re looking for someone who will truly care for your pet, keep you updated, and go above and beyond, McKinley is the person to book. I would trust her with Hamilton again in a heartbeat and will absolutely be using her in the future. I would 1000% recommend her to anyone looking for the best possible care for their pet!”

“Kiki dog sat my little man for 2 days. Within the two days I received picture and video updates. My dog Ace literally was all smiles when I went to pick him up ! I am very grateful for the kindness and love Kiki showed to Ace while I was away. I will definitely be booking again, and I highly recommend her to everyone with a 4 legged bestie !”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Landover
Rashad took incredible care of my dog, Kobe, and made the entire experience completely stress-free. From the moment I dropped him off, I knew he was in great hands. He kept me updated, made sure Kobe got plenty of attention, exercise, and love, and treated him like he was part of their own family. When I picked him up, Kobe was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. As a dog owner, there's nothing more reassuring than knowing your pup is safe and genuinely cared for while you're away. If you're looking for someone trustworthy, reliable, and who truly loves dogs, I would absolutely recommend Rashad. I'll definitely be booking with them again. Thank you for taking such amazing care of Kobe!

Terrance was such a delight. He took care of Zula for a whole week and everything went so smoothly. Great communication. From the booking, to dropping off, and having communication throughout the stay, all the way to the end for pickup. He is definitely a 10/10!

I'm so grateful for a second wonderful time with Paula with Scout. He was in such great hands that his vacay was probably more amazing than mine. Loved on, squirrel shouts, and all the belly rubs and hugs a pup could want. Thank you, Paula, for the regular updates, photos that both helped me both smile and know he was in great hands!

So happy to have found Estela. She is very good with Dexter, who is not open to everyone. I go away on vacations knowing that he is in good hands. Estela is wonderful to work with and responds quickly. I appreciate that she lets me modify my booking when needed to extend the time. She stays in contact with photos. I am grateful to have her care for Dexter.
Ilia is an outstanding sitter! She came over and bonded with Tofu prior to our travels. We were also fortunate that he got along well with her two dogs. She provided me with daily updates with pictures. Tofu made himself at home with Ilia and settled in pretty well by the first night. I strongly recommend Ilia to sit your fur baby. She's caring, attentive, communicative, and overall compassionate. I was comforted to know that my dog was in the greatest care in my absence. Thank you, Ilia!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
