“I was greeted friendly when onyx and I arrived! She showed us around and he was very happy with the new environment! Also she sent daily reports and pictures!”

“This was our first time boarding Black with a sitter, and Crystal provided a great experience for Black and for us. When we dropped him off, he didn’t even look back as she ushered him inside which told us he was comfortable with Crystal from the very beginning. When we picked Black up, he was excited to see us AND sad for his weekend with Crystal to come to an end. Black had a couple of behavioral issues during his stay and Crystal was very attentive taking great care of his needs and keeping us updated with great photos and detailed reports. We highly recommend Crystal.”

“Payton is awesome and she truly cares for my dogs. She takes really good care of them and gives me plenty of updates (pictures, video, and messages) while they're in her care. She is the only one in this area that I trust to watch my dogs!”

“Nicole was amazing! She communicated very well, sent texts with updates, she sent pictures and she answered every call and text. I was nervous for my first boarder experience but she made it SO easy and comfortable! Her energy and aura will make you feel at ease! I will definitely be using her again💯”

“My dog stayed with Valeria for 3 nights, we had no issues. I felt comfortable with his stay, never felt worried or concerned, and was able to enjoy our weekend away. She took excellant care of him.”

“Diego took great care of my two dogs and sent regular updates and photos which I appreciated. He did well developing trust with my dog who is very timid around humans. Definitely recommend!”

“Charei was so helpful in making sure my dog felt safe and asked a lot of questions to ensure his comfort. Duma felt comfortable with his dogs and had a good time.”
“This was my first time using Rover and I am very happy to have come across this site and even happier to have come across Ms. Estela. We had an absolute wonderful experience with her. From the beginning she was very friendly, helpful, and communicative. She provided updates and daily pictures of Santy and kept us informed of his well being. As much as we were anxious leaving our dog behind for few days, she made us feel comfortable that he was in good hands. There are no words that could describe my gratitude for Estela’s service. I would definitely be using her service in the near future and 100% recommend her to anyone that needs a loving animal care taker.”

“Love, love, love Jeff! He was so nice and accommodating. I felt Ranger was in good hands when I dropped him off. Jeff sent me pics and provided daily updates. Ranger was in great condition when I picked him up. I would definitely recommend Jeff! I plan on using Jeff in the future!! Leslie”

“I want to say that Tasha is just the best sitter I have had, and here are the specific things I was looking for that Tasha provided. She is super friendly, responds within a very short time to requests, knows what she is doing with dogs, and is very accommodating. I have periods of travel and odd arrival home times, and she always tries to help make it possible to pick up my Irish Setter Riley. Riley is an energetic soul, like all setters, and though there is not an ounce of harm in her, she is on the go, a strong dog, and needs a good handler. I feel safe leaving her with Tasha, and that peace of mind is great. With my previous sitter, Riley sometimes came back smelling of smoke, which is why I started looking elsewhere. I'm glad I found Tasha and would thoroughly recommend her every time. Mark”

“Lucia kept us up to date with our dog activities by frequently sending us pictures and we really enjoyed them. From the pictures, we could see that our dog was happy. We will definitely bring our dog to her next time we are going out of town again.”

“We had an excellent experience with this sitter through Rover. They were incredibly informative and communicative throughout the stay, which gave us real peace of mind. Most importantly, they created a fun, safe, and loving environment where my dog was clearly comfortable and happy. It was obvious my dog received genuine care and attention, not just supervision. I would absolutely use this sitter again in the future and highly recommend them to anyone looking for dependable, compassionate care.”

“So lucky to find this lovely couple as my furbaby is happy every time he stays with them. They are my guy's safe place when I'm away and I haven't booked with any other sitter because of how amazing they are. Top tier communication as well!”

“Joseph was very communicative and shared pictures of our pups with us daily. He followed all directions we gave him and made sure our pups feel at home under his care. I would recommend Joseph as a pet sitter and would entrust him with watching our pups again in the future. Thanks for taking care of our babies!”

“Bojana and family were the best pet sitters! We were able to travel with utmost confidence that our four year old mini bernedoodle was in great hands and being showered with attention and fun. I’m so grateful to have found such incredible pet sitters. Communication was top notch - regular updates put me at ease. Thank you!”

“Malvi and Andrej were amazing with Hudson! He had such a fun time playing and got special, personalized care throughout his stay. I appreciate the lengths Malvi and Andrej go to to make sure all the dogs have a safe and enjoyable stay, and the updates to let me know Hudson was having a blast. Their special touches and going the extra step really show their commitment to the dogs they watch. I would recommend them to anyone!”

“Great photos of our elderly cat, relaxing, cuddling, and enjoying her pampered visit. Sonya went above and beyond to swing by our house and pick up medicine we'd forgotten. Great peace of mind knowing Maya was in safe, capable hands!”

“Tandy is AMAZING!! Organized, considerate, responsible - everything a person could want in a sitter watching over their beloved fur babies. With Tandy cat-sitting I was confident they were safe and well-cared for.”

About: I’m a dog dad of 3, I’ve grown up around all animals. I love my children and I want to be able to help people take care of theirs if they need it. Sometimes I like to bring my wife along to help, if you’re not okay with this please let me know and I’ll make sure it’s only me. I’m currently going to online school which leaves me with a lot of extra time for extra work such as Rover. Outside of taking care of my own babies. I am able to do stop in visits to take care of your fur babies for either a walk, to let them out, or to give them company for some time if they need it.

“Gina was absolutely great with my cats. We came back to happy and well taken care cats. I received pictures of them everyday and she also spent some time to play with them. She was so nice to even make sure my mail was taken inside the house which I greatly appreciated. She even help feed our outdoor cat who kind of took permanent shelter in our backyard. I would definitely recommend Gina to care for your pets while you are away.”

“Nasheia is incredibly professional, communicative, and so very caring towards our dog Charlie! Charlie has a few special needs in his diet and behavior around other dogs, and Nasheia has handled everything he’s thrown at her. She drops in to our home for feeding and walks while we’re in office a few days during the week, and Charlie absolutely loves her. Nasheia communicates any issues early on, like scheduling or unexpected things happening during visits. She also politely points out when supplies like treats or food are low. She’s forward thinking and that’s a perfect match for us as planners when it comes to our dog. We’d recommend her to anyone!”

About: Since a young age, I lived around/with cats and what this has allowed me to do is gain expertise on how cats behave with their manner’s and attitudes that they may possess. Something that has always attracted me to cats. Is their ability to stand on their own in most situations and to display a high level of independence.
“Sharmily did a great job taking care of my cat Franklin. With every visit she sent plenty of cute photos which helped ease my anxiety with leaving him for a few days. I have already booked her again and would recommend her to 100%.”

About: Thanks for checking out my sitter profile! I've been watching pets across the DC area for nearly 8 years, which includes experience as a walker and housesitter. I'm a dependable animal lover who will make sure your pet is happy and comfortable even while their people are away. I live with my partner in a very dog-friendly house in Landover Hills. While I manage the Rover account, my partner Lou--who is a caring pet parent with animal experience that includes a stint at wolf sanctuary-- also will keep your pet(s) company. We have two pups: the elderly Walden, a pug who sleeps 90% of the day, and Drax, an active mutt who enjoys playing with friends new and old in our yard but also cuddling up for evening snuggles. We have two cats who are friendly with dogs but have access to a dog-free office if any issues arise (so far we've only had adorable introductions as dogs' first cat friends--many nose boops). The house is in a suburban area and has a fenced in, maintained yard where your pup can happily spend their days playing with Drax, rolling in the grass, and sniffing around. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask! I work from home most days of the week; Lou works entirely from home. We often have guest animals in the house, so are used to a daily routine of breakfast and backyards romps after wake-up, multiple breaks throughout business hours, and plenty of play time and dinner in the evenings. We’re happy to incorporate your pet’s usual routine into ours to keep them comfy. I’m attentive to dogs in my care and take pride in ensuring they are comfortable while their owners are away. While with us, your pet will be treated like our own and get plenty of attention, exercise, and care.
“Megan is my favorite Catsitter. She goes above and beyond to make sure my pet is happy and content. She is responsive and gives great communication and photos. She keeps the kitchen and the litter box very clean. And you can tell that she cares very much for animals.”

“Emma is so great with our cats, we love having her hang out with them while we’re away. She’s communicative and attentive; we feel comfortable knowing our cats are in great hands when we’re out of town. Thanks again, Emma!”

“Bryanna was amazing with our shy new kitty. Brought her out of her shell and made her more comfortable in her new home. An unbelievable help and I would highly recommend her to take care of your fur baby!”

“I’m so glad I found Charei on Rover. She took excellent care of my girl Cassie and ensured she got her midday dose of medication. I received pictures of Cassie and Gemma on their walk and feedback throughout the day I felt confident Cassie was in good hands.”

“Catie was great with my pup Ruby! Ruby has some extra triggers, and Catie not only was great with making sure Ruby did okay and figuring out what Ruby needed alongside the other dogs in care that day, but also provided frequent updates throughout the day. 5/5!”

About: I’ve been an animal lover since a kid, and am excited to care for your pet! I’m a grad student in MD and am a proud pet parent of 2 Yorkie-mix dogs. I have experience with pet feeding, long walks, and fun playtime. I’m also comfortable administering medications and caring for dogs of all sizes. My husband and I are fairly flexible, and I often work from home. We have a large backyard where your dog(s) can safely play and enjoy the outdoors. I’m a grad student who has a very flexible schedule. I walk the dogs around 7:30am, brush their teeth, and set out their food. I also go on midday walks so they are mentally and physically stimulated. My husband takes the dogs out for long walks in the evenings as well. We are happy to include your pets into this schedule or add any additional care into this routine per your request and/or according to your pet’s needs. I have a large yard and 2 lovable pups that can keep your dog(s) company. We go on frequent walks and bathroom breaks around our quiet neighborhood and have tons of play space around the house. I am happy to honor any requests to care for one family’s pets at a time, and will absolutely treat your pet(s) as if they were my own.

“I brought my little senior to Denisha and I could not have been happier with the care she took with him. She has true caring for animals and she cared for my dog as well as she cared for her own dogs. They went on walks and when she noticed he was lagging, she picked up his ten pound self and carried him the rest of the way. She cues into behaviors to figure out dynamics and issues. She was just great. I loved that she took him on walks because no place I have taken him has ever put that effort into him. Please consider Denisha as a caretaker for your dog. I will definitely be going back to her.”

About: I've always had dogs growing up in southern Virginia. I have taken care of my own pets for the past 10 years, I have a dog and a cat (that acts like a dog). My dog is not spayed, so I have experience with dogs in heat. If your dog is not neutered, I have experience monitoring behavior and separating the animals. My parent's dog is not neutered. As a loving parent of a goldendoodle, pet care is a big part of my daily routine. I am able to work remotely on most days so I can be flexible with my dog walking schedule. Most mornings start with fresh water and fresh food and a walk. I usually walk my dog again during lunch and then after the work day is over in the evening. I understand dog/cat behavior and know when to separate the animals. Moreover if you dog is crate trained, I will use that as their safe space whenever they may be anxious. If possible, please leave an item from home with your scent.

About: Hi! I’m Ashley, and I’d love to help take care of your pets like they’re my own 🐾 I used to be on Rover a little while back but took a break to pursue school. Now I’m back since I’m more steady in my studies! A little about me is I worked as a veterinary assistant for 4 years, so I have hands-on experience with animals of all kinds, including those who may be a little shy, anxious, or need extra care. I’m comfortable with feeding routines, medications, and recognizing when something might be off with your pet. I’m currently in nursing school, so caregiving is a big part of who I am. Pet care is something I truly enjoy, and I treat it as more than just a side job—it’s something I take seriously and put my heart into. Whether your pet needs walks, drop-in visits, or just some extra love while you’re away, I’ve got you covered! How does pet care fit into your daily or weekly routine? I’m available in the mornings, which works perfectly for pets that need early walks, feeding, or company before the day gets busy. I’m consistent and reliable with timing, so your pet can stick to their normal routine without stress. Whether it’s a quick drop-in, a walk, or morning care, I’ll make sure they start their day happy and cared for. I focus on creating a calm, safe, and clean environment for every pet. I pay attention to behavior and body language to make sure your pet is comfortable and secure. I also keep communication open with updates so you always know how your pet is doing.
“Rita was absolutely amazing with my dog, Natalie! Natalie can be reactive and typically needs time to adjust to new environments and people, but Rita went above and beyond to make sure she felt comfortable and supported. She took the time to really understand Natalie’s needs, triggers, and what makes her happy, which made such a difference. I really appreciated the regular photo updates and how communicative she was throughout—checking in, asking thoughtful questions, and keeping me reassured the entire time. It’s clear Rita genuinely cares and puts in the extra effort, and because of that, Natalie had a great experience. I’m so grateful and would absolutely book with her again. Thank you, Rita!”
About: I’ve had dogs of different breads since I was a little girl. I live in an apartment so I unfortunately don’t have a yard at the moment. I do have a balcony that’s safe for a small dog to be in.

“Our dog bandit is a hunting dog with insane energy and she was so calm and happy with Malvi and Andrej - she had the time of her life!! They have a perfect setup in their back yard and are very communicative. You’ll get tons of amazing photos. Bandit will be going back for sure. I really can’t recommend them enough!”

“Akeem was super attentive! Though Leo was only with him for daycare, Akeem sent a bunch of pictures and videos of Leo having a great time. Akeem's pups were super friendly, his backyard was a big plus, and he was super flexible. Leo came home exhausted and seemed to have been very comfortable!”

“Sonja was amazing! She came out on short notice to meet our pups, and she did an amazing job with them. She sent us photo updates and checked in every so often. The pups looked so happy; we could tell they were having a blast and that they loved her. As owners of two large breed dogs, it's difficult to find someone who is at ease around them, not afraid, and not overwhelmed by them, and Sonja was all that we could have hoped for in those regards. We definitely plan on using her services again! ”

About: I grew up with a high-energy Siberian husky and a large mutt (~80 lbs) who were both dog reactive. I learned how to handle them from as soon as I was strong enough to not get pulled into the street! I loved taking them on runs, hikes, long walks, and pretty much anything outdoors. I currently have a two-year-old golden retriever mix at home who loves people, playing, dog parks, hikes, loafing on the couch, and lots of attention (all of which I am more than happy to provide for her). I was recently laid off and am returning to school to get EMT certified soon, so I have a lot of free time to care for your dog! I have housesat for friends with smaller dogs in the past as well and would welcome the opportunity to housesit any size dog :) I am located near town center market in Riverdale Park and have a car. I'm currently in evening classes so other than that I have most weekdays free for walks at whatever time is most convenient for you. For housesitting, I would need time to attend those classes and walk my own dog but would be able to not leave your dog unattended for more than 2 hours at a time. I will be very respectful of your home and would happily attend to any plants you have as well (I enjoy gardening quite a bit). I want you and your pet to feel comfortable with me in your house. I will also send updates at whatever frequency you prefer!

Mark”

“Joseph was very communicative and shared pictures of our pups with us daily. He followed all directions we gave him and made sure our pups feel at home under his care. I would recommend Joseph as a pet sitter and would entrust him with watching our pups again in the future. Thanks for taking care of our babies!”

“Drake and Cookie loved staying with Tom and his family. I am so appreciative of his communication regarding the pups, especially in light of a tough past Rover experience. Everyone was happy and healthy at pickup and Drake didn’t know who to give attention to most when leaving— always a good sign that he’s found a new bff. Thanks Tom!!”
“I can't recommend Tabatha enough! From the moment I met them, I could tell they were not only professional but genuinely care about dogs. My dog, Denver, can be a bit shy at first, but Tabatha was patient and kind, and it didn't take long for Denver to feel comfortable. Throughout the stay, Tabatha kept me updated with photos and messages, which was such a relief. I could tell Denver was having a great time – from the walks to the playtime, everything was handled with so much love and attention to detail. When I returned home, Denver was happy, healthy, and relaxed, which made me feel confident that he had been in great hands. I will definitely be booking again and highly recommend Tabatha to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and trustworthy sitter. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of Denver!”

“Asha gave me peace of mind when I boarded my fur baby for the first time ever. My anxious mini poodle was so calm and did not get anxious when I left. We had a meet and greet, he was so comfortable I left him, went home and dropped off his belongings. I absolutely love Asha!! I will wait for her availability to board my fur baby.”

“Kamille was an absolute dream to Shadow. She attended to her as if she was her own and kept us updated every step of the way. She was extremely accommodating to my family especially when we needed her most. I love how responsible, responsive, and professional she was at all times. Shadow came home happy and tired which is all we could ever ask for. We will definitely be using Kamille in the future. This was truly a God sent experience!”

“Austin and Majid took great care of our dog, Maisie over the holiday. They were amazing at keeping us in the loop, and Maisie came home happy and healthy.”

“Catie was fantastic! She was super communicative and provided me with updates. She met Lennox where he was and that was so helpful for him to warm up to a place. I could tell he was having a fantastic time! Oh and she helped in a pickle as I needed same day care, I really lucked out with such an amazing sitter. Thank you Catie!!”

“Ares clearly had a lovely time staying with Haydenn! He was happy and tired when we picked him up. Getting a video of him making friends with another one of the dogs staying at Haydenn's was a lovely bonus. We'd absolutely ask Haydenn to watch Ares again.”

“Boarding our dog with Cal and Kelly was a great experience. They were very responsive, quickly set up a meet&greet when requested, and took great care of our pup. They have very thoughtfully set up their home to ensure the dogs in their care are safe and comfortable. We hope to book with them again!”

“When I tell you I’ve never felt more relieved to have someone like Michele watch my fur babies while away for my wedding. She made me and my pups feel comfortable and I could feel that dogs are her passion, not just a hobby. I pray that every time I need a sitter she is available!!! You’re the best Michele!!! Thanks so much!”

About: I am a true Capitol Hill dog lover and I have always had a strong passion for animals, mostly for dogs. I have been caring for dogs since I was child, taking care of my mother’s beloved shitzu. Taking care of her helped me acquire basic canine behavior and taught me the responsibility of taking care of a pet. Most recently I raised my own best friend, Gelato an English Bulldog. I gained my breeder experience with Gelato and cared for her and her 6 puppies, until they were rehomed at 8 months. I enjoy taking long walks, which I consider the ultimate stress reliever and best way to exercise. I have no problem getting my hands dirty. I have 20 years of experience in the customer service field and enjoy striving to provide the best experience to my clients. In my personal time I am spending time with my 2 little girls teaching them how to play sports, and of course how to be loving pet owners. Thank you for taking the time to visit my page! I’m currently working part time and will be available to walk most pets during early mornings hours during the week and mid day and evenings during the weekend. I definitely would like to know your pets temperament, and what might scare them. I know they will feel most comfortable at home but if they are with me, I’d like to keep a calm, pet friendly setting for them to be comfortable in.
