“We were very satisfied with our first boarding experience. Smokey acclimated the sitter much faster than anticipated. He enjoyed his stay and bonded with the sitter in less than one week. We will definitely use her services again when we travel. This was a long trip (17 days) during the 2025 holiday season.”

“Tandy was amazing! She responded very quickly to my last minute booking and was very accommodating of my schedule. Flexible and detailed, the cats loved her! She made sure that my cat Sigmund took his thyroid medication and kept me informed of everything they were up to. Tandy double checked with me if any questions came up, which I really appreciated. 6/5 stars!!”

About: I have a 15 year old border collie mix who is my best friend! At her age now, she is on special diets and medication, and loves her routines. I know how hard it is to find trusted care for any pet, but especially a senior, and I am looking to be that trusted person to care your pet(s). I have walked and cared for dogs of all ages and sizes as well! I have a wide open schedule which is why I want decided to sign up now. I am happy to work with your needs and pets schedules! I want to stick to any routines you do with your pet currently so they feel as comfortable as possible. Happy to walk their favorite routes, fluff up their favorite blankets, or heat up their food to just the right temperature! My own dog needs a forehead kiss before eating, and I am happy to oblige any quirks.

“Gina is absolutely the best and I am so fortunate to have her look after my kitties. She goes out of her way to even look after our outdoor kitty. I do not have to worry about anything when Gina is taking care of them. I would recommend Gina to anyone who is looking for a sitter for their pets.”

About: I have had the joy of caring for and paying with many dogs throughout my life, each with their unique personality. Whether it was taking energetic puppies on long walks, comforting a rescue dog or simply playing fetch in the park, every moment connect connects me to the love for them. I am currently attending college and I have availability during the week for spending time with pets, playtime and attention to ensure they feel happy and comfortable. I have my own car, I can easily drive wherever the pets are. I am flexible and ready to provide walks, playtime or keeping them company.
“Natalie was absolutely stellar. She not only provided our kitty with the basics, but went above and beyond giving her love and snuggles and cleaning up any messes she encountered. She even did some tidying which was a lovely surprise to come home too. We are so thrilled with this service!”

“Pepper has enjoyed her stays with Nasheia and Nina so much that we have made it a weekly thing. With other sitters I would drop pepper off and she would run back to me to pick her up and not want to leave. As soon as Pepper saw Nina she forgot all about me. She comes home happy and tired from all her playing.”

About: Thanks for checking out my sitter profile! I've been watching pets across the DC area for nearly 8 years, which includes experience as a walker and housesitter. I'm a dependable animal lover who will make sure your pet is happy and comfortable even while their people are away. I live with my partner in a very dog-friendly house in Landover Hills. While I manage the Rover account, my partner Lou--who is a caring pet parent with animal experience that includes a stint at wolf sanctuary-- also will keep your pet(s) company. We have two pups: the elderly Walden, a pug who sleeps 90% of the day, and Drax, an active mutt who enjoys playing with friends new and old in our yard but also cuddling up for evening snuggles. We have two cats who are friendly with dogs but have access to a dog-free office if any issues arise (so far we've only had adorable introductions as dogs' first cat friends--many nose boops). The house is in a suburban area and has a fenced in, maintained yard where your pup can happily spend their days playing with Drax, rolling in the grass, and sniffing around. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask! I work from home most days of the week; Lou works entirely from home. We often have guest animals in the house, so are used to a daily routine of breakfast and backyards romps after wake-up, multiple breaks throughout business hours, and plenty of play time and dinner in the evenings. We’re happy to incorporate your pet’s usual routine into ours to keep them comfy. I’m attentive to dogs in my care and take pride in ensuring they are comfortable while their owners are away. While with us, your pet will be treated like our own and get plenty of attention, exercise, and care.
“Megan was great with my cat, Tara! We were trying to find a sitter last minute, and Megan was very responsive and helpful. She also made it quite convenient to pass of our apartment keys. She arrived on time each day and gave thorough updates through the rover cards. I came home to a happy and healthy cat!”

“Ms. Samantha is the best! She provided her services in the clutch of time and also got along with my 2 male cats in a jiff! She even convinced them to start using the cat tree that I bought for them months ago. I will definitely request her services any time I go out of town. P.s. this was my first time using Rover. 10/10 would recommend”

About: I’ve had many years of experience caring for my own pets, as well as helping friends who have trusted me to care for theirs. Through this, I’ve learned how to handle different personalities, routines, and needs, from playful pets to those who require extra patience and attention. I take pride in being dependable, attentive, and treating every pet like family. I currently work part-time, which gives me plenty of time and flexibility to care for your furry friends. This allows me to be reliable, attentive, and fully present for your pets’ needs throughout the day. I follow each pet’s routine that I am given at their home, providing feeding, fresh water, playtime, cleaning, affection, and regular updates to keep pets happy and safe

“We're already a repeat customer, but I wanted to mention that Emma was able to watch our cat during a difficult time when we needed to travel on short notice. I'm so appreciative of her communicating quickly and taking care of our girl during a very stressful time. Thank you, Emma!”

“Sarah was an excellent sitter for my two cats! One was having some issues and vomiting every day and Sarah took care of everything, which really helped ease my mind while away. She provided clearly communication with every visit and I highly recommend her! I look forward to booking with Sarah for all of my fur children needs moving forward! 😊”

“Sehaum was extremely kind and patient with our pups, given how skidding and shy they can be. She was timely and communicative before, during and after the visit. I definitely recommend Sehaum to other dog owners, and look forward to working with her again!”

About: I have experienced working at an adoption center for animals and they had all sorts of animals and even some that are as tall then me Im currently working full time mostly in the afternoons but i do have lots of time in the morning monday through friday and sometimes ill do pet care on the weekends if needed The way i keep care for my own 6 dogs at home is to really understand there body language, such as for one of my dogs savanna tends to look at me or invade my personal space when she want something. Body language to me is the most important thing for pet care. I also currently have a full time client that lets me walk her 2 dogs every on Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday for an hour each and after a year a service and on going I am still with sad client
