“Natalie is an excellent sitter for my cat Hollis! All stars for her! Very professional & communicative! Great pictures of my cat! She fed my Hollis, change water, cleaned litter, took it my mails too & fed stray cats on our porch! Awesome!!!❤️😘”

“My family and I highly recommend Jackalyn services. We took a trip out of the country for some days and having Jackalyn visiting and taking care of our baby furs really made our trip much better, by a lot. Jackalyn was very communicative during her visits during our whole trip including sending daily pictures of our pets’ activities, among other tasks. We will definitely use Jackalyn services when we take future trips out of town and recommend her services without a doubt.”

“Mike was amazing with Scooby! He watched him for a couple of weeks and took great care of him the whole time. He was very helpful, easy to communicate with, and made sure we stayed updated every day by sending videos. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing Scooby was in good hands. Highly recommend Mike to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring Rover 🙌🏽”

About: I’ve been taking care of animals since I was young, I usually specialize with cats and dogs since they’re mostly my favorites but I’m up for anything I currently work part time doing security work so I usually have time to house sit or go for walks whenever I’m not at work and I can call out if an emergency sitting is needed. I usually have my eyes on the pets at all times, they’re either nearby or directly in my view in case anything happens or they need to be get or taken care of but I can’t house them in my home.
About: I've taken care of dogs and watched after dogs almost all of my life. From my god mother's Rottweiler, Sisters Black Lab, my best friends Boston terriers a labradodle. Your pup will be in great hands with me. I work from home so I have no issue with being in the house with your dog. My community is very pet friendly with not 1 but 2 dog parks that allows for exercise and fresh air. I work full time from home, and have a very flexible schedule. Usually while watching pets for friends I'll go for a morning walk for bathroom needs, around lunch we'll take another quick walk and game of fetch and one more walk in the evening before the sun goes down. I care for pets depending on what you as the owner recommend. For my dog nephew, we only feed him at 4pm (put food in the bowl) so that in the mornings and nights when we take him out to do his business he's good to go. I like to have a toy or bone around for them to chew on while I work, but once we go out side I make sure we're getting some fresh air for at least 30minutes to an hour.
About: When I was 15, I had my first puppy named Marshmallow, a very handsome grey & white Shih Tzu. Since then, I've had this massive love for pets. I have babysat my friends and family dogs, including a pitbull, a golden doodle, a cat, a labrador, a pomeranian, and a disabled terrier. I will take care of them with lots of love & compassion. I can guarantee great on-time care for them. I'm a full-time student in college looking for a part-time job that smoothly fits into my week. Also, creating my own schedule is something that comes in handy on busy school days. I would take your dog on long & lovely walks, keep them well-fed, work on possibly getting them to new tricks & make sure things stay clean.
“We loved Delina and our cat loved her too! Delina is a great communicator, on time, and honestly very easy to talk to. Highly recommend her and will be hiring her for pet sitting again in the future!”

“Savannah was great! It was our first time using her, but she communicated well and did a great job taking care of our dog! She made sure he got walks, play time, and took his meds.”

“Lilla was great for visiting with my two pups! She was flexible and quick to respond when I needed a sitter due to unexpected trip to attend a funeral. She communicated well and provided me pictures of her visits. She even cleaned up after one of my pups when she got sick in the house. I’d recommend her and will use her again. Thank you, Lilla, and sorry about the pup mess!”

“Emma is so great with our cats, we love having her hang out with them while we’re away. She’s communicative and attentive; we feel comfortable knowing our cats are in great hands when we’re out of town. Thanks again, Emma!”

“Naomi was perfect! I have two cats. One that is really skittish who doesn't like most people and one that loves people. Within a day or two of cat sitting she got the skittish one to warm up to her! She gave me timely updates, spent time with them, and made sure they actually at the food put down for them. For a few days after my trip the cats would look for her and sit by the door waiting! I'll definitely book her again!”

“Jayla has a very nice vibe about her. She followed my instructions and was always on time. I was out of the country for a week and I didn’t worry about my little kitty once. I plan to call on Jayla every time I’m away in the future. She’s EXCELLENT. I highly recommend her.”

“Great help, Anh really helped put my mind at ease while I was away, and helping with the dogs was a big deal. She was very attentive and reliable on time and had attention to detail. I will definitely use her services again. Highly recommend”

“Sharmily is heaven sent and if I didn’t have her I would never travel. She goes above and beyond your expectations. I feel 100% at ease knowing that she is tending after my pets. She takes tons of photos and add a nice Description of what she notices around my home and pets. She is a Rockstar!”

Mickela was great with my cats, and we have a lot of cats. She was able to make each of my cats feel safe and cared for while I was gone on a very long work trip. Normally I come home to a house with some kitty messes due to stress and this time I came home to a clean and happy house where I could just hop right back into our normal routine. I have already booked Mickela for my next work trip and she will 100% be my regular sitter. I highly recommend!. She was able to give my cats their medicine, handle a pretty hectic feeding time, and keep everyone happy and stress free. If you want someone to love your cat like their own Mickela is your person!

Reetchel is the best in the game. She is reliable, trustworthy and has saved me when I faced a difficult travel situation and had to come back home later. You can be sure that she will take care of your pets like her own. Cannot recommend her enough. Thank you Reetchel!

Natalie is truly a VIP cat sitter. She consistently goes above and beyond to make sure Pierre is not only cared for, but genuinely comfortable, happy, and loved while I’m away. She spends quality time with him, follows every instruction carefully, keeps me updated, and always makes sure he’s well fed and well taken care of. She is hands down the best cat sitter I’ve ever had, and I would strongly recommend her to anyone looking for an amazing, trustworthy, and attentive person to care for their pets.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Fairmount Heights. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
