“Mickela was very professional, quick to respond and kept me updated! My pups (even my anxiety case) were comfortable with her. I will be booking her again!”

“This was our first visit away from our kitten, Nico, and I was incredibly nervous. However, Kayli took excellent care of our guy. She was incredibly communicative, gave Nico very well rounded visits (lots of snuggles, all of his favorite toys, etc.), and made sure to ask all of the right questions before our trip began. We will definitely be booking her again, Nico will miss her!”

“Savannah was a great help to our two cats when we were out of town! My boys were always happy to see her at the front door (as evidenced by adorable window pics)”

“Ehuniz did an amazing job sitting for my dog Asja! I can pretty much fill out a potential sitter during the Meet and Greet. Ehuniz was very warm and calm which made me quite comfortable (my dog feeds off energy). Ehuniz was very responsive when I made initial contact with here to sit for my dog which was a pretty quick turnaround due to a last minute issues with the person originally scheduled to sit for her. I highly recommend Ehuniz if you are looking for a reliable sitter!”

“Kordell was great! He was communicative and easy to work with. He came over before we left to get to know our cat and understand our setup. My cat had a bit of an attitude with him but Kordell was understanding and patient. I would happily recommend him.”

About: Im a DC based management consultant with a soft spot for “furry baes”! I’m an experienced pet owner looking to help out my neighbors. You can count on me to be affectionate, trustworthy, and professional. When I’m not working or pet sitting, you can find me at a gallery opening, a new restaurant, at the local movie house, or spending time with my cat Javier. I fostered a dog this summer, and although I loved her dearly, I found her a fantastic home and taught her a few tricks! I love animals of all kinds, and they love me back! Contact me to schedule a visit. I’d love to meet your furry family member! I was unfortunately laid off last year from my consulting career. But that’s ok! I now have more time to connect with nature, decompress, and nurture my inner animal lover! I believe the best sitters and walkers enter your home with good energy, as animals often recognize when a human is well intentioned. I know how to approach pets, and most importantly, wait for them to approach me.
“Thank you so much for the thoughtful care for our cats and dog. We were receiving detailed messages, suggestions and lovely photos. We hate leaving our animals when we travel, but with Natalie’s support we felt 100% confident”

“Mike was amazing with Scooby! He watched him for a couple of weeks and took great care of him the whole time. He was very helpful, easy to communicate with, and made sure we stayed updated every day by sending videos. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing Scooby was in good hands. Highly recommend Mike to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring Rover 🙌🏽”

“While I didn’t actually get to meet Edmond and Nafis, they were very easy and pleasant to work with. They were also accommodating when my trip got unexpectedly extended. I got detailed summaries of each visit and lots of pictures which always puts my mind at ease! I will definitely be booking them again in the future.”

“Lilla has been amazing with our dog and communication with me. Lloyd was having severe anxiety and Lilla communicated with me every step of the way, on his behavior, shyness, and even when he got a bit aggressive towards her. She comforted him and gave him the space and attention he needed as we devised a plan. I appreciated her openness, understanding and thoughtful approach to our dogs needs!”

About: I’ve had pets since I was young, mostly dogs, so caring for animals has always been a natural part of my life. Over the years, I’ve taken care of my own dogs—feeding them, walking them, and making sure they were happy, healthy, and well loved. Friends and colleagues have also trusted me to care for their pets while they were away. I’ve had experience pet sitting different dogs and cats, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in their owner’s absence. Before moving to the United States, I also started rescuing community cats in my area and helped find loving homes for them. That experience deepened my compassion for animals and strengthened my commitment to giving every pet the care, patience, and attention they deserve. I’m a stay-at-home wife, so I have plenty of time during the day to walk, play, and give lots of attention and care to your furbabies. I care for every pet as if they were my own. I love building bonds with animals and getting to know their unique personalities. I’m also very respectful of my clients’ homes and always follow the care instructions and guidelines they provide.

Whether that’s long walks, playtime, sticking to a specific routine, or just keeping them company and giving lots of attention, I’m happy to adjust. I know how important it is for pets to feel comfortable in their own environment, so I focus on keeping things calm, consistent, and stress-free. I’ve had experience caring for dogs and cats of different ages, temperaments, and needs, and I’m very attentive to details like feeding routines, medications (if needed), and behavior changes. I’m also happy to send updates and photos so you can feel at ease while you’re away. My schedule is flexible, and I work in a way that allows me to spend quality time with the pets I care for. I’m reliable, responsive, and treat every pet like they’re my own. Looking forward to meeting you and your furry family member 💛 I’m currently y working part-time so have plenty of time to take care of your babies. I couldn’t find a better sitter for our Rainbow! Natalie was super thorough and communicative. She asked great questions up front and provided detailed updates. She was very kind and thoughtful. For example, she brought in a Chewy package that she noticed was delivered on a check-in day. Rainbow took to her very well - she let her brush her which can be dicey! I would love to have Natalie sit for us again in the future!

Mickela was great with my cats, and we have a lot of cats. She was able to make each of my cats feel safe and cared for while I was gone on a very long work trip. Normally I come home to a house with some kitty messes due to stress and this time I came home to a clean and happy house where I could just hop right back into our normal routine. I have already booked Mickela for my next work trip and she will 100% be my regular sitter. I highly recommend!. She was able to give my cats their medicine, handle a pretty hectic feeding time, and keep everyone happy and stress free. If you want someone to love your cat like their own Mickela is your person!
Reetchel is the best in the game. She is reliable, trustworthy and has saved me when I faced a difficult travel situation and had to come back home later. You can be sure that she will take care of your pets like her own. Cannot recommend her enough. Thank you Reetchel!

Trina helped us check in on our cat, and responded promptly to my request. She’s professional, courteous, and maintained communication throughout the whole process. She gave our cat some treats, food, checked on her water, and most importantly she gave her some love 😻. My cat enjoyed Trina’s company and was PURRRing on the phone !🧡 Trina was kind enough to offer to check in on my backyard hens when I mentioned that I was little worried about them too. We appreciate all your help and the peace of mind you gave us while we’re away. 🙏

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
