“Gina has been phenomenal with my energetic pup! I didn’t intentionally book with her at the start of the hottest summer on record in DC, but that’s how things worked out. I don’t think she has had a single pleasant weather day since she began walking Remy, yet she has been incredibly professional and mindful of my baby boy’s needs on scorching summer days. And Remy adores her! We are so thankful for you, Gina!”

“Feriha is great with our young puppy! She was very attentive to our energetic pup’s needs. She arrived on time and followed our instructions. After each walk, she provides plenty of detail and adorable pictures. Highly recommend!”

“Natalie was amazing !! She was able to fit me in at the last minute, which I truly appreciated. Shes’s very knowledgeable about dogs and had sent me plenty of pictures of my Zeus. I felt completely at ease knowing he was in great hands, Thank you so much.”

“This is our first time working with Michael, and he was absolutely excellent, incredibly responsive, and prompt for every walk. My pet Romeo is a senior Yorkie, and his needs are simple, but he is very old now. Michael was incredibly gentle and took his time on walks with Romeo. Sent real time updates and photos. I’m always grateful for highly communicative walkers and people who care about my pet.”

About: From a young age I always loved animals. It started with a turtle which quickly became cats and dogs as I got older. I don’t believe in abusing anything, so I wouldn’t ever allow any animal to be abused in any way, shape or form. They are precious. I’m currently about to start working a job that allows me to be part time so I have free time on my hands to care for any dog or cat necessary. I do have a backyard and there’s a dog park close that allows me to walk on a daily basis . I follow any and all routines needed.
About: Through previous and most recent positions, I have hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats of various breeds, sizes, and temperaments through pet sitting and dog walking. My responsibilities included feeding, administering basic medications, maintaining exercise schedules, cleaning litter boxes, monitoring behavior, and providing companionship and enrichment. While I work full-time, I’m available for evening care after 6 PM depending on location, along with flexible availability on my days off for walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting. I provide reliable in-home pet care by maintaining pets’ routines, ensuring they’re fed, exercised, comfortable, and given plenty of love and attention while their owners are away.

About: I’ve been taking care of animals since I was young, I usually specialize with cats and dogs since they’re mostly my favorites but I’m up for anything I currently work part time doing security work so I usually have time to house sit or go for walks whenever I’m not at work and I can call out if an emergency sitting is needed. I usually have my eyes on the pets at all times, they’re either nearby or directly in my view in case anything happens or they need to be get or taken care of but I can’t house them in my home.
“Alex was great. Communication was excellent, provided pictures, and took very good care of our pups. Made being away less stressful. I do recommend him, and will use his services again.”

I have experience taking care of animals with a variety of medical issues. I understand the importance of consistency when it comes to caring for a pet in general but especially when they have health concerns. Comfortable around all breeds and sizes. Knowledgeable in leash training, potty training, and crate training. Just like people all animals have their own unique personality. Excited to care for your best friend like they were my own! I do occasionally work on the weekends so there could be 7-8 hour periods between me being with your pet. Would let you know my work schedule if that overlap with care. If no fenced in yard at residence will keep dog on a leash at all times outside the home. I am respectful of peoples homes since that is your safe space. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
