About: Through previous and most recent positions, I have hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats of various breeds, sizes, and temperaments through pet sitting and dog walking. My responsibilities included feeding, administering basic medications, maintaining exercise schedules, cleaning litter boxes, monitoring behavior, and providing companionship and enrichment. While I work full-time, I’m available for evening care after 6 PM depending on location, along with flexible availability on my days off for walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting. I provide reliable in-home pet care by maintaining pets’ routines, ensuring they’re fed, exercised, comfortable, and given plenty of love and attention while their owners are away.

About: I’ve owned and cared for cats and dogs my whole life. My own dogs are e collar trained and I understand reactive dogs. Happy to accommodate all needs and medications. I am an artist that works from home, so last minute bookings and cancellations are usually fine with me, depending on distance from Cottage City. I keep all doors closed and take all precautions. I follow all directions from owners and I am over communicative! I have been told I have a calm, loving energy that all pets love.
“Natalie and Dan have been so understanding, patient and knowledgeable- which has been great for my pup who needs a little extra time to get acclimated to new people / has some reactivity and guarding tendencies. The dedication, experience and care that they bring to working with fur babies is such a gift! We love working with them!”

About: When your dog comes to stay here, they are loved as a part of our pack. We work from home with a flexible schedule that allows for plenty of fenced-in-yard play and neighborhood walks. Our typical dog care schedule aims to strike the right balance of fun and rest to avoid over or under-stimulation. *Note: We are not the right fit for dogs who need to be the only dog in the sitter’s home. As a mental health therapist with an anxious dog of my own, I am particularly attentive to dog body language, signs of discomfort, and unique personality. I empathize that it truly sucks that you can’t just text your dog to ask how they’re doing when they’re in another person’s care. My aim is for the next time you arrive at my home, your pup’s booty will wiggle and communicate it all! In the meantime, I welcome your check ins and am happy to send you plenty of pictures and detailed updates. Because we have dogs of our own, I require proof of up to date vaccinations. Please send with booking request! Things that I want to know about your dog: - feeding schedule/amount - sleep routine (crate/loose) - exercise needs/frequency - any major known anxiety/reactivity triggers - scale of 1 (untrained) to 10 (will never have an accident unless something is wrong) how potty trained are we? (This is important to know as it impacts cost of supplies/repair and frequency of outside time) - what will your dog need when other humans enter my home when they’re here? - any allergies or treats they cannot have? - would your dog like to join us to go to the dog park? My own dogs are central to my daily routine and get plenty of enrichment, play in the yard, basic training, and rest each day. We have implemented the following schedule for drop off and pick ups to help protect our pups routine and what remains of our lives outside of doggies 🙃 Weekdays: before 6pm Weekends: before 9:30am and between 4-5:30pm If I am with a client during your drop off/pick up times, we may arrange for you to use our doggy drop off room where your dog can rest until my current call is done. If you need drop off/pick up between 6-8pm on weekdays or 9:30am-4pm on weekends, we will use the doggy drop off room and may charge a flexible pick up rate. We generally do not do pick ups/drop offs after 8pm. We ask that you book for the following morning. I am happy to discuss and answer any questions you may have! We have a fenced yard, an indoor camera, gates and rooms to separate dogs if needed, two crates, and more leashes and toys than one pack could ever need.
About: From a young age I always loved animals. It started with a turtle which quickly became cats and dogs as I got older. I don’t believe in abusing anything, so I wouldn’t ever allow any animal to be abused in any way, shape or form. They are precious. I’m currently about to start working a job that allows me to be part time so I have free time on my hands to care for any dog or cat necessary. I do have a backyard and there’s a dog park close that allows me to walk on a daily basis . I follow any and all routines needed.
“Skyler took my adolescent male Pit bill pup out for walks for about a month & a half, twice a week; I stopped because I decided to take my pup to doggy daycare instead during the fall & winter. Skyler was respectful and mature ever since our meet & greet and during our communications, and were receptive to feedback. I appreciated that they had experience raising pit bulls since mine is an adolescent pit and we were working through some training/behavioral issues during Skyler’s time with us. Sky didn’t always complete the Rover card timely likely since they were new to using the app; and on a couple of occasions were late for pick up due to bus or work and didn’t text to notify me, which would have been appreciated since I had to buzz them into my apt complex during my lunch break. All in all a good experience and I’d recommend Sky as a Rover and plan to reach out if I need pup assistance in the future. Thanks, Sky!”

About: I’ve been taking care of animals since I was young, I usually specialize with cats and dogs since they’re mostly my favorites but I’m up for anything I currently work part time doing security work so I usually have time to house sit or go for walks whenever I’m not at work and I can call out if an emergency sitting is needed. I usually have my eyes on the pets at all times, they’re either nearby or directly in my view in case anything happens or they need to be get or taken care of but I can’t house them in my home.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Cheverly
Clarice did a wonderful job with Roscoe. He connected with her easily on the meet and greet, where she asked and learned about his quirks and personality. She accepted a somewhat last-minute request, and she treated him well! Highly recommend her and hope to use her services again in the future!

Denisse did a great job learning how to use Hoover’s harness and by the second day they were off and walking on their own. I really appreciate her flexibility and willingness to work with his mobility issues. It helps a lot! She’s a great communicator, very kind and clearly cares about doing a good job.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
