About: I am a true Capitol Hill dog lover and I have always had a strong passion for animals, mostly for dogs. I have been caring for dogs since I was child, taking care of my mother’s beloved shitzu. Taking care of her helped me acquire basic canine behavior and taught me the responsibility of taking care of a pet. Most recently I raised my own best friend, Gelato an English Bulldog. I gained my breeder experience with Gelato and cared for her and her 6 puppies, until they were rehomed at 8 months. “Amani was wonderful with Loki. She has a big yard which Loki loved. She gave him plenty of exercise which made me feel good because he needs to stay busy. She communicated very well with me and was extremely flexible. I immediately felt comfortable with Amani watching Loki within the first 5 minutes of our meet and greet. She is nice, funny, listened to every little question and concern I had and she had everything Loki would need already at her house. Amani also has a dog so Loki had someone to play with. Amani was great about sending me pictures but not overwhelming me with them and letting me enjoy my vacation. Loki loved his stay and I already told Amani I will be using her again.”

About: I’ve done rover before and I’ve made long friends with watching their pets I’ve seen them grow and be the best fur balls they are I’m home 24/7 . Your fur babies will have my full attention all week I will be home with them the whole time of their stay. She has true caring for animals and she cared for my dog as well as she cared for her own dogs. They went on walks and when she noticed he was lagging, she picked up his ten pound self and carried him the rest of the way. She cues into behaviors to figure out dynamics and issues. About: I may have never officially been a dog walker but through my own personal experience it can get done! I’ve had my own dog, Pretty for 3 years now and rain, shine, snow, and everything in between we are outside. I let her sniff to her hearts content. Our standard is 2 walks daily but we started at 4 walks when I first got her at 6 months old. She’s well taken care of and so will yours be in my care. Be it 10 minutes, 30 minutes, or an hour, if you choose me as your walker it’ll be a great time! I work FT hybrid. I’m home Mondays & Fridays. Weekends and evenings are what work best. I’m free all day on weekends and can do midday up to an hour between 1-3PM on Mondays & Fridays. I have one dog Pretty who is quite friendly. She is a bit reactive to smaller dogs. Does do better with medium to larger dogs. Pretty and I, live in a one bedroom but an area/neighborhood that is walkable which is done daily so there’s no shortage of space to get steps in!

About: I believe that every child should grow up with the unconditional love of a pet. We rescued our first to grow up with our adult daughter and our newest addition has grown up with my teenage daughter. Their dogs have ultimately become my dogs because I secretly enjoy their company ☺️ Like Many, Working from home had become the normal and now that many of you are returning to in person work schedules I've decided to care for fur babies that have grown accustomed to the warmth and undivided attention of their companions. I'm free most weekdays. And after drop offs my Koby 🐶 and I go on walks in the neighborhood. And we venture the school's neighborhood at pickup. So in between your pet can be as lazy or as active as he, she or they wants. I have a large fenced back yard for playing and a huge front and back porch for lounging. Our home provides open space and cozy spaces for relaxing.

About: I am a true Capitol Hill dog lover and I have always had a strong passion for animals, mostly for dogs. I have been caring for dogs since I was child, taking care of my mother’s beloved shitzu. Taking care of her helped me acquire basic canine behavior and taught me the responsibility of taking care of a pet. Most recently I raised my own best friend, Gelato an English Bulldog. I gained my breeder experience with Gelato and cared for her and her 6 puppies, until they were rehomed at 8 months. I enjoy taking long walks, which I consider the ultimate stress reliever and best way to exercise. I have no problem getting my hands dirty. I have 20 years of experience in the customer service field and enjoy striving to provide the best experience to my clients. In my personal time I am spending time with my 2 little girls teaching them how to play sports, and of course how to be loving pet owners. Thank you for taking the time to visit my page! “Amani was wonderful with Loki. She has a big yard which Loki loved. She gave him plenty of exercise which made me feel good because he needs to stay busy. She communicated very well with me and was extremely flexible. I immediately felt comfortable with Amani watching Loki within the first 5 minutes of our meet and greet. She is nice, funny, listened to every little question and concern I had and she had everything Loki would need already at her house. Amani also has a dog so Loki had someone to play with. Amani was great about sending me pictures but not overwhelming me with them and letting me enjoy my vacation. Loki loved his stay and I already told Amani I will be using her again.”

About: I’ve had 7 dogs over the last 24 years, two lived to be 18 and 19 yrs old. I was known for many years as the Brookland Dog Lady. This is the only time in my adult life that I have only one dog. I currently have one 2-year-old Cockapoo named Peaches. Peaches loves most dogs and people and is generally confident and submissive. She’s very good with large, young, and old dogs alike. My house is fairly quiet. Over my 24 years of experience with my own dogs and watching friends dogs, I have dealt with just about every health problem and ailment. I am experienced with puppies, seniors, providing insulin, doggie diapers, prescriptions and just about anything else you can think of. I love walking dogs through my neighborhood. I have a fully fenced backyard as well. I work primarily from home so I can provide a lot of attention and supervision. They are like children to me. I work from home so I’m never gone for more than a few hours. My daily schedule starts with breakfast for me and my dog, Peaches. I then take her out immediately to the backyard for a potty break. I get ready for my day and work from home. I walk my dog in the afternoon every day with additional yard breaks throughout the day. We often stop to play with other dog friends along the way. I can do a second walk each day if needed. I feed her again around 6pm. I let her out again in the yard before bed. They would sleep in my bedroom at night - either on the floor, in a dog bed or in bed with Peaches and me. Peaches gets along with most dogs, but she can get a little overwhelmed with large, strong, high energy puppies. If you have an med/large dog that want to wrestle rough and doesn’t know it’s own strength, Peaches may not want it to stay over. Every dog is different so we will always have a meet and greet. I do have a doggy door that Peaches can use as needed, but I do go out with her whenever she goes outside. I have a 7 ft wooden fence around my yard. I also have a gate across my front porch so that if any dog were to get out of the front door, they would not be able to get off the porch. Dogs are always leashed when outside of my yard. I have watched and cared for many dogs for my friends, family and neighbors over the years. I have also been "dogmother" (designated in the will to care for a dog if anything had happened to their human) by several friends and family.
