About: I’ve done rover before and I’ve made long friends with watching their pets I’ve seen them grow and be the best fur balls they are I’m home 24/7 . Your fur babies will have my full attention all week I will be home with them the whole time of their stay. It depends on how the owner would like me to do things but I would walk them , play with them and depending on weather go to a park
“Rita was absolutely amazing with my dog, Natalie! Natalie can be reactive and typically needs time to adjust to new environments and people, but Rita went above and beyond to make sure she felt comfortable and supported. She took the time to really understand Natalie’s needs, triggers, and what makes her happy, which made such a difference. I really appreciated the regular photo updates and how communicative she was throughout—checking in, asking thoughtful questions, and keeping me reassured the entire time. It’s clear Rita genuinely cares and puts in the extra effort, and because of that, Natalie had a great experience. I’m so grateful and would absolutely book with her again. Thank you, Rita!”
About: Hello World! My name is Rouday and I have been taking care of dogs since I was 10 years old. In those 25 years I have had the privilege of raising three dogs, all different shapes and sizes. I enjoy taking dogs on long walks, playing with them at dog parks, and loving up on my furry friends. I currently have an extremely flexible schedule as I work remotely and control my own workflow. I also have two young children that require schedule flexibility. Very safe secure building, which includes dedicated dog walking areas, and also room to groom pets as well. Location is also close to some great parks and walking paths that dogs will enjoy

About: I've cared for animals my entire life, from small pets to large farm animals, and even helped on my aunt's farm growing up. My love and compassion for animals is what sets me apart. My dream is to become a veterinarian and one day open my own veterinary practice, so you can trust that your pet will be treated with the same care and attention I'd give my own. Im currently working part time at home and looking for anyway to workout during the week so I have a lot of time space and energy to run around and love your dog while being gone. My 6 month old cat has a crate available if needed, but she usually has free roam of the house since there are no other pets in the home. She's very friendly and loves small children and other animals. I give her plenty of love and attention every day, and I truly treat her like my own baby!
“Thank you so much again for watching my baby 🐶. I will definitely book him again. My baby was very tired, which was a good thing. She got home and ate and went right to sleep.”

“I brought my little senior to Denisha and I could not have been happier with the care she took with him. She has true caring for animals and she cared for my dog as well as she cared for her own dogs. They went on walks and when she noticed he was lagging, she picked up his ten pound self and carried him the rest of the way. She cues into behaviors to figure out dynamics and issues. She was just great. I loved that she took him on walks because no place I have taken him has ever put that effort into him. Please consider Denisha as a caretaker for your dog. I will definitely be going back to her.”
About: I’ve had dogs of different breads since I was a little girl. I used to feed and walk my neighbor’s dog around the community while also taking care of mine :) I’m currently a stay at home mom so I’ll have plenty of time to play with your dog indoors and also be able to take them out occasionally on walks. I live in an apartment so I unfortunately don’t have a yard at the moment. I do have a balcony that’s safe for a small dog to be in.
“Theresa was amazing! Rosie had a great stay with her and T'Challa. Everything went perfectly, I'm so grateful that Theresa took such good care of Rosie while I visited the National Mall.”

From long walks to belly rubs, bath time to playtime, I treat every dog like family. Whether your pup needs a cozy overnight stay, a fun afternoon of fetch, or just some extra TLC while you're away, I’m here to help them feel safe, loved, and right at home. I am currently a stay at home parent with plenty of time to spend with your fur baby so they are never alone. They can have frequent bathroom breaks as needed as well as play time in the back yard. I am available weekdays and weekends as well. I have a huge fenced back yard and my 13 year old fur baby to help keep their company . I can also crate on request although I do not like crating.

My pup had a great time playing and socializing with another puppy. I couldn’t have asked for a better first experience — highly recommend!”

Devin and precious were so great with Kaia! They were extremely communicative and send plenty of pictures and updates. Kaia even got a homemade frozen watermelon treat after a walk which I’m sure she devoured. I highly recommend their services. Thanks for taking such great care of my girl.

Theresa was wonderful! Milan loved spending the day with her and her pup, T’Challa. She kept us updated throughout the day with messages and pictures, which gave us great peace of mind! She was very attentive to his needs. Milan enjoyed walks, plenty of attention, and a warm, welcoming environment. Thank you so much!

Murphy can be very skittish around new people, but he absolutely adored Jeff. Jeff was very accommodating with time which worked well because we were visiting DC. He helped make our trip here so much better because we knew Murphy was in good hands. Highly recommend!

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
