Jeff looked after our dog (Toby) when I had to leave town for the day. I ran into delays during the commute home, but Jeff was v understanding. I'm so grateful for Jeff's flexibility and Toby came home a happy camper :)

I’m so glad I found Charei on Rover. She took excellent care of my girl Cassie and ensured she got her midday dose of medication. I received pictures of Cassie and Gemma on their walk and feedback throughout the day I felt confident Cassie was in good hands.

About: I’ve been an animal lover since a kid, and am excited to care for your pet! I’m a grad student in MD and am a proud pet parent of 2 Yorkie-mix dogs. I have experience with pet feeding, long walks, and fun playtime. I’m also comfortable administering medications and caring for dogs of all sizes. My husband and I are fairly flexible, and I often work from home. We have a large backyard where your dog(s) can safely play and enjoy the outdoors. I’m a grad student who has a very flexible schedule. I walk the dogs around 7:30am, brush their teeth, and set out their food. I also go on midday walks so they are mentally and physically stimulated. My husband takes the dogs out for long walks in the evenings as well. We are happy to include your pets into this schedule or add any additional care into this routine per your request and/or according to your pet’s needs. I have a large yard and 2 lovable pups that can keep your dog(s) company. We go on frequent walks and bathroom breaks around our quiet neighborhood and have tons of play space around the house. I am happy to honor any requests to care for one family’s pets at a time, and will absolutely treat your pet(s) as if they were my own.

I brought my little senior to Denisha and I could not have been happier with the care she took with him. She has true caring for animals and she cared for my dog as well as she cared for her own dogs. They went on walks and when she noticed he was lagging, she picked up his ten pound self and carried him the rest of the way. She cues into behaviors to figure out dynamics and issues. She was just great. I loved that she took him on walks because no place I have taken him has ever put that effort into him. Please consider Denisha as a caretaker for your dog. I will definitely be going back to her.

About: I can do anything from walking to giving baths or from filling food and water to providing medicine 🐾 I’m okay with dogs of all ages and sizes from puppies to pitbulls and from the sick to the elderly 🙂 I can work remotely so it fits in quite easily. I live in Greenbelt, MD and my office is in DC (when I do decide to go into work), so really anywhere in the suburbs I’m willing to drive to! Any special instructions will be listened to and I will take great care of your pet(s). Hopefully things work out and you can be a regular-ish client! Please note: if you have a larger breed dog and I’m boarding multiple dogs, I would require them to where a bark collar that just buzzes if they get aggressive. It helps with mitigation. Otherwise I can’t board you, unfortunately.

About: Hi! I’m Ashley, and I’d love to help take care of your pets like they’re my own 🐾 I used to be on Rover a little while back but took a break to pursue school. Now I’m back since I’m more steady in my studies! A little about me is I worked as a veterinary assistant for 4 years, so I have hands-on experience with animals of all kinds, including those who may be a little shy, anxious, or need extra care. I’m comfortable with feeding routines, medications, and recognizing when something might be off with your pet. I’m currently in nursing school, so caregiving is a big part of who I am. Pet care is something I truly enjoy, and I treat it as more than just a side job—it’s something I take seriously and put my heart into. I also make sure to send plenty of pictures and updates so you always know your pet is safe, happy, and in good hands (yes, expect cute photo spam 😄). Whether your pet needs walks, drop-in visits, or just some extra love while you’re away, I’ve got you covered! How does pet care fit into your daily or weekly routine? I’m available in the mornings, which works perfectly for pets that need early walks, feeding, or company before the day gets busy. I’m consistent and reliable with timing, so your pet can stick to their normal routine without stress. Whether it’s a quick drop-in, a walk, or morning care, I’ll make sure they start their day happy and cared for. I focus on creating a calm, safe, and clean environment for every pet. I always follow the owner’s instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medications, and any specific routines. I pay attention to behavior and body language to make sure your pet is comfortable and secure. I also keep communication open with updates so you always know how your pet is doing.

About: I’ve been caring for pets for several years and truly see them as part of the family. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and personalities—from playful puppies to calm senior dogs who need extra patience and care. What sets me apart is my attentiveness and the love I bring to each visit. I'm confident handling multiple pets, giving medications (if needed), and making sure routines are followed closely so your pet feels safe and comfortable. Whether it's a long walk, playtime, or just quiet company, I’m here to give your pet the same care and affection they’d get at home. I work at an elementary school during the academic year, but I’m currently on summer vacation—so my schedule is wide open! That means I have the flexibility to offer pet care during mornings, afternoons, and evenings throughout the week. Whether your pet needs a walk, a drop-in, or overnight care, I’m available and ready to help. This season gives me the perfect opportunity to dedicate my time and attention to caring for pets like yours. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. Whether I’m caring for them in your home or mine, I always strive to create a calm, clean, and loving environment. I follow any specific instructions you provide—feeding routines, medication, walk schedules, or preferred toys—so your pet stays on track and feels secure. I take time to build trust with each animal, respecting their boundaries and needs. I also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can feel confident and connected while you’re away.

About: I've always had dogs growing up in southern Virginia. I have taken care of my own pets for the past 10 years, I have a dog and a cat (that acts like a dog). My dog is not spayed, so I have experience with dogs in heat. If your dog is not neutered, I have experience monitoring behavior and separating the animals. My parent's dog is not neutered. As a loving parent of a goldendoodle, pet care is a big part of my daily routine. I am able to work remotely on most days so I can be flexible with my dog walking schedule. Most mornings start with fresh water and fresh food and a walk. I usually walk my dog again during lunch and then after the work day is over in the evening. I understand dog/cat behavior and know when to separate the animals. Moreover if you dog is crate trained, I will use that as their safe space whenever they may be anxious. If possible, please leave an item from home with your scent.

About: I’ve had dogs of different breads since I was a little girl. I used to feed and walk my neighbor’s dog around the community while also taking care of mine :) I’m currently a stay at home mom so I’ll have plenty of time to play with your dog indoors and also be able to take them out occasionally on walks. I live in an apartment so I unfortunately don’t have a yard at the moment. I do have a balcony that’s safe for a small dog to be in.

About: I am an animal lover and have had various types of animal companions throughout my lifetime. Currently I am the Farm operator for our Urban farm. We raise ducks and chickens but they are always separate from visiting pups. Only within view for their entertainment and relaxation here on the farm. Yes we are located nearby in the city 🥰 I have a quiet understanding with most animals that I come across and enjoy their company. I have sat for many of my friends and family and am the go to person when someone needs to go out and about but cannot take their pet family members along. New members get 20% when you use the code below to book with me! FARISM27089, https://www.rover.com/sit/farism10342 I am currently focusing on dog sitting and have dedicate my time to being available to meet as many fur babies as I can in the next couple months. I have a room dedicated to pet care which has a greenhouse feel with plants but is fully enclosed in the home. It has a doggy door which leads out to our fully fenced back yard and large dog run with a insulated dog house inside. I also have a wireless camera on the areas which allow me to make sure that everyone is ok at all times. Please note that I no longer accept large breed dogs at this time aside from past clients. I am currently focusing my time on pet sitting. I am always also checking in via webcam on the pups wherever I am. Dog personalities are so amazing and fun to see. I have a double fenced yard to keep your pets safe. Lots of open dog crates and bedding for snoozing. A dog door that allows them some freedom and a large dedicated outdoor dog area for doggie playtime. They also always have access to fresh cool water.

Everything from lizards and turtles to dogs, goats, and horses!
