I appreciate all of Denisha’s efforts to try to accommodate my dog’s needs. It did not turn out working out but that’s due to my dog’s own personal special needs and needing more individualized special care. Denisha was very patient and honest during my dog’s care. Some sitters do it for the financial gain but I could really tell that Denisha genuinely cares for the dogs that she sits. She was responsive and provided frequent updates/pictures. I really am thankful that she cared about my dog’s comfort and tried to accommodate her needs. I would definitely recommend Denisha!

When we pulled up to Jeff’s house, they started barking and getting so excited to see him. Thanks Jeff for all your help. We’re so glad we found you!

I know with busy schedules a little more help is a big help! I’m here to support you and your furry loved one during these moments. Heading out of town for the weekend? I can help😊. My home is smoke free and safe for your furry friend. If they are more comfortable at home I can come to you also. **IMPORTANT - If you were a previous client of mine and need to book please text me even if you do not see any availability. ** My pet sitting rover schedule will be part time. I am available usually during the weekday evenings and some weekends for extended stays, or walks as needed. I do not work from home and will only be able to give potty breaks 6-8 hrs. About: I've always had dogs growing up in southern Virginia. I have taken care of my own pets for the past 10 years, I have a dog and a cat (that acts like a dog). My dog is not spayed, so I have experience with dogs in heat. If your dog is not neutered, I have experience monitoring behavior and separating the animals. My parent's dog is not neutered. As a loving parent of a goldendoodle, pet care is a big part of my daily routine. I am able to work remotely on most days so I can be flexible with my dog walking schedule. Most mornings start with fresh water and fresh food and a walk. I usually walk my dog again during lunch and then after the work day is over in the evening. I understand dog/cat behavior and know when to separate the animals. Moreover if you dog is crate trained, I will use that as their safe space whenever they may be anxious. If possible, please leave an item from home with your scent.

About: Hi! I'm Erin, and I'd love the opportunity to care for your furry family member. As a dog owner myself, I know how important it is to find someone you can trust. I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs, and I make it a priority to provide personalized care that helps them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, cuddle sessions, or simply sticking to their normal routine, I'm happy to accommodate what makes them happiest. I'll treat your pet with the same patience, attention, and affection that I give my own. I'm reliable, communicative, and committed to giving you peace of mind. You can expect regular photo and video updates, prompt communication, and plenty of love and attention for your pet every step of the way. I look forward to meeting you and your four-legged best friend! Pet care is already a natural part of my daily routine. As a dog owner, I'm used to planning my day around walks, feeding schedules, playtime, and making sure pets get plenty of attention and exercise. I work with a flexible schedule, which allows me to provide reliable care, stay consistent with your pet's routine, and give them the time and attention they deserve. Whether it's an early morning walk, a midday drop-in, or evening companionship, I'm happy to accommodate your pet's needs while keeping you updated with photos and messages along the way. I always prioritize keeping pets comfortable by following the routine they're used to. Before each booking, I like to learn about their feeding schedule, exercise needs, favorite activities, medications (if applicable), and any special instructions or behaviors to be aware of. In a client's home, I respect both the pet's routine and the home itself. I'll make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, fresh water, and lots of affection while keeping your home clean and secure. I also provide regular photo and video updates so you can have peace of mind while you're away. If caring for pets in my home, I provide a safe, clean, and calm environment where they can relax, play, and feel like part of the family. I ensure they have regular potty breaks, walks, meals, and plenty of love and supervision throughout their stay. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, happy, and cared for, while giving pet parents confidence that their furry family member is in good hands.

About: I am an animal lover and have had various types of animal companions throughout my lifetime. Currently I am the Farm operator for our Urban farm. We raise ducks and chickens but they are always separate from visiting pups. Only within view for their entertainment and relaxation here on the farm. Yes we are located nearby in the city 🥰 I have a quiet understanding with most animals that I come across and enjoy their company. I have sat for many of my friends and family and am the go to person when someone needs to go out and about but cannot take their pet family members. I am currently focusing on dog sitting and have dedicate my time to being available to meet as many fur babies as I can in the next couple months. I have a room dedicated to pet care which has a greenhouse feel with plants but is fully enclosed in the home. It has a doggy door which leads out to our fully fenced back yard and large dog run with a insulated dog house inside. I also have a wireless camera on the areas which allow me to make sure that everyone is ok at all times. Please note that I no longer accept large breed dogs at this time aside from past clients. I am currently focusing my time on pet sitting. I am always also checking in via webcam on the pups wherever I am. Dog personalities are so amazing and fun to see. I have a double fenced yard to keep your pets safe. Lots of open dog crates and bedding for snoozing. A dog door that allows them some freedom and a large dedicated outdoor dog area for doggie playtime. They also always have access to fresh cool water.

I love when I can leave my pup with a sitter who has children in the home. I think pups and kids are great for each other. Trynae and her son provided our puppy with the love and attention he needed. My only suggestion for dog owners (who aren’t in a rush like I was) and pet sitters is to see/show where the pet will be in the home. Trynae provided pics which made me feel he was comfortable indoors and outdoors.

As of August 2026, there are 5,439 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Glenarden. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Glenarden commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 5,439 sitters in Glenarden, 87% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
