About: I have been a vet technician for 4 years. My specialty is general wellness. Taking care of fur babies and giving them excellent care. Pets with different temperament and sizes are no issues for me. I work full time at the Humane Rescue Alliance (HRA). From Tuesday to Friday. I volunteer at City Wildlife in DC all day Monday. I’m Available all weekend at whatever time. I have a 1 bedroom apartment with just 1 cat. A big neighborhood with a lot of open space. I also love long walks & hikes. A lot of outside time & new adventures.
“Great help, Anh really helped put my mind at ease while I was away, and helping with the dogs was a big deal. She was very attentive and reliable on time and had attention to detail. I will definitely use her services again. Highly recommend”

“Lilla has been amazing with our dog and communication with me. Lloyd was having severe anxiety and Lilla communicated with me every step of the way, on his behavior, shyness, and even when he got a bit aggressive towards her. She comforted him and gave him the space and attention he needed as we devised a plan. I appreciated her openness, understanding and thoughtful approach to our dogs needs!”

“Erica, we want to thank you so much for taking excellent care of our 4 cats. Erica was checking in on our cats twice daily for the week we were on vacation. She arrived right on schedule each day and fed and cared for our cats, and before checkout sent pictures from each visit. When we arrived home our pets were happy and well cared for, thanks to Erica. I highly recommend Erica to anyone who is looking for a reliable, honest and trustworthy caretaker for your pets.”

“Sandra is absolutely amazing. She went above and beyond to care for our pets and communicated consistently . Our older dog had stayed with the vet because she was sick and we realized that upon our return from vacation the vet would close earlier than our arrival. Sandra not only took care of our younger dog and cat but also picked up the older one from vet and brought her home. I can tell she loves her job and my fur babies truly enjoyed being cared for by her . Second time using her and plan to continue doing so for long term travel!”

About: I've taken care of dogs of every kind since I was 10. Neighbors, friends, and family have relied on me to check in with, feed and play with their pets. During the summer it was all I did. I’m currently unemployed so I want to have as much fun as I can with pets before I go back to school and work. Well I don’t care for pets in my home but eventually when I have my own space I would absolutely adore sharing my space with everyone’s pets.
“Bria was such a trooper! As soon as we left, our dog got diarrhea and every time she came in to feed the pet's she took care of him. She even changed up his meals and ended up having to cook chicken and rice to soothe his stomach! We came back and had some cleaning to do but I can't imagine how much we would have had to do if she didn't do the initial cleaning. Can't thank her enough for going above and beyond. Despite the hiccups, all the pet's were happy and fine 🙂”

“Astrid is wonderful! She made us feel very comfortable to leave our cats with her. She would always go above and beyond and send us so many pictures. We will be booking with her again!”

About: I’ve had dogs all my life. Extensive experience with larger dogs but I love them all. I am able to provide some basic training, car, and lots of love. I have owned mixed breads, boxers, and right now I have a massive that is an amazing girl. I am looking forward to caring for your pet. I have a lot of free time right now and can walk or check in your 4 legged family member anytime you need. I can check in on your other pets as well if you need to and water your plants if needed. I can care for your pets at home, take them for walk, feed them, provide medications, play and train them if needed it. Happy to work with you and your pets needs. I’ve cared for senior dogs, puppies and all ages in between. Animals in general tend to like me and I am comfortable with with all of them, birds included.
About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of pets throughout my lifetime, starting at the age of 7. I’ve had fish, turtles, cats, dogs, and bearded dragons. So my passion for animals across the board runs pretty deep. Though currently I’m unable to have a personal pet of my own, that has no effect on my ability to take care and love on the pets you cherish. I have 2 dephews (dog nephews) that I love very much, as if they’re were my dogs and that’s the closest I’m able to get to a personal pet at this time. Nonetheless, my passion for animals has drawn me to the idea of becoming a dog & cat walker/sitter and I think I will find a lot of joy and fulfillment in this. I’m currently unemployed and have a very flexible schedule. Whether your pet needs daily or weekly attention, I’m definitely the girl you need for the job! I will care for your pets in accordance to how I would want my pet to be treated. With respect, and love. I’m very attentive and will be sure to take care of your pet to your specific wants & needs.
About: I've spent years dog sitting for family and friends, caring for dogs with different energy levels, and routines. I'm patient, calm, and very attentive to details especially important for anxious dogs, seniors, or pups who thrive on consistency. I follow care instructions closely, prioritize safety and comfort, and focus on creating low- stress, familiar environment. My goal is aways to help your dog feel secure and well cared for while giving you peace of mind. I work from home mostly only going into the office once a week. My schedule is pretty flexible where I can step away for walks and potty breaks! I treat them as if they were my own with love and care. I'm patient as well so if I know certain details about the dog, I adapt to cater to their needs.
“Tandy is AMAZING!! Organized, considerate, responsible - everything a person could want in a sitter watching over their beloved fur babies. With Tandy cat-sitting I was confident they were safe and well-cared for.”

About: I am an animal lover and have had various types of animal companions throughout my lifetime. Currently I am the Farm operator for our Urban farm. We raise ducks and chickens but they are always separate from visiting pups. Only within view for their entertainment and relaxation here on the farm. Yes we are located nearby in the city 🥰 I have a quiet understanding with most animals that I come across and enjoy their company. I have sat for many of my friends and family and am the go to person when someone needs to go out and about but cannot take their pet family members. I am currently focusing on dog sitting and have dedicate my time to being available to meet as many fur babies as I can in the next couple months. I have a room dedicated to pet care which has a greenhouse feel with plants but is fully enclosed in the home. It has a doggy door which leads out to our fully fenced back yard and large dog run with a insulated dog house inside. I also have a wireless camera on the areas which allow me to make sure that everyone is ok at all times. Please note that I no longer accept large breed dogs at this time aside from past clients. I am currently focusing my time on pet sitting. I am always also checking in via webcam on the pups wherever I am. Dog personalities are so amazing and fun to see. I have a double fenced yard to keep your pets safe. Lots of open dog crates and bedding for snoozing. A dog door that allows them some freedom and a large dedicated outdoor dog area for doggie playtime. They also always have access to fresh cool water.
“Breonia was amazing! She was very good at communicating and updating me on Jeter while I was away. She took great care of him and the pictures she provided show that he was happy with her. I would definitely work with Breonia again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caretaker for their pets!”

About: With 10 years of experience, I’ve helped friends and family raise, train, care for and provide their pets with a memorable experience that leaves them craving for more! I currently work part time so I have plenty of time to give to your pets. I’m available everyday from 10am-10pm except from the days that I pick up but I’m fairly flexible and can work with you. I have a friendly energetic dog that can play and keep your fur babies company. I can also bring her to your home for play dates if you prefer. My care for your pets is catered to your fur baby’s need as well as yours

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Glenarden
This was my first time using Rover and boy was it worth it! Naomi was absolutely outstanding. A competent and caring professional who I could trust 100% with my pets, my home, and unexpected issues that would arise while I was away (like my dogs tearing up plant food). I couldn’t have asked for a better experience – thank you, Naomi!

Ilia thank you so much for being patient, kind, and genuinely caring with my puppy. Ilia will go above expectations to ensure that your pet feels loved and cared for. She asks questions, was timely, and followed all instructions. I felt at ease knowing that my pup was in your care. I appreciate your help and will continue to book with you.

Alexis was absolutely amazing while we were out of town! She took such great care of Uno and gave me complete peace of mind while we were away. She was reliable, attentive, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. Uno was happy, well cared for, and in great hands the entire time. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy dog walker!

Bria was great with our dog. She took the time to do a meet and greet beforehand and was able to accommodate doing a drop in visit with short notice. Highly recommend her! We will definitely be reaching out again, when we need someone to check in on our dog. Thanks Bria!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
