Simply phenomenal! This was the first time we've had to leave Ollie for the whole day so we wanted to be sure he was left in good hands. I've been on the sitter side many times before but this was the first time we've left one of our dogs with someone other than family. We could not be happier or more grateful! Catie was extremely communicative, gave multiple picture and video updates, and Ollie clearly had a blast playing with Catie's dogs! So glad to have found such a loving, attentive sitter we can feel so comfortable leaving our pup with :)

Rita was absolutely amazing with my dog, Natalie! Natalie can be reactive and typically needs time to adjust to new environments and people, but Rita went above and beyond to make sure she felt comfortable and supported. She took the time to really understand Natalie’s needs, triggers, and what makes her happy, which made such a difference. I really appreciated the regular photo updates and how communicative she was throughout—checking in, asking thoughtful questions, and keeping me reassured the entire time. It’s clear Rita genuinely cares and puts in the extra effort, and because of that, Natalie had a great experience. I’m so grateful and would absolutely book with her again. Thank you, Rita!

About: Hello World! My name is Rouday and I have been taking care of dogs since I was 10 years old. In those 25 years I have had the privilege of raising three dogs, all different shapes and sizes. I enjoy taking dogs on long walks, playing with them at dog parks, and loving up on my furry friends. I currently have an extremely flexible schedule as I work remotely and control my own workflow. I also have two young children that require schedule flexibility. Very safe secure building, which includes dedicated dog walking areas, and also room to groom pets as well. Location is also close to some great parks and walking paths that dogs will enjoy

About: I have experience fostering a puppy and volunteering at dog shelters, where I regularly take dogs out for walks and give them loving attention. I grew up with a golden retriever named Max, which sparked my lifelong love for dogs. Caring for dogs is something I truly enjoy, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. I am available throughout the weekdays and select weekends. I kindly ask for advance notice when possible, as I am a college student balancing my schedule. I care for pets in a safe, calm home environment with plenty of space to play and relax. I live in a house with a large backyard. I am happy to crate your dog if needed, as long as you provide the crate.

About: Hi there! I'm a dog-mom of an energetic boxer, Gus. Gus is my first dog, but from a young age, I always walked dogs in the neighborhood. As an adult, I had over 4 years of experience with doggy roommates. I have experiences with many different personalities and sizes so I'm very comfortable with them. I am very active and love taking long walks or light jogs, just like your pup! Gus is also an excellent walking buddy who is good on the leash. I work from home Monday through Friday 9:00-5:00, so it's very easy for me to pop out before work, lunchtime, it after work to take a long walk. If it helps lighten the load when packing, I havethe following items already: Extra dog beds Dog bowls including a slow feeder Toys Feel free to pack these items if course if they will make your pup happier to have their own. I work from home Monday through Friday 9:00-5:00, so it's very easy for me to pop out before work, lunchtime, it after work to take a long walk. I will walk them in the neighborhood and will avoid busy streets. I also don't introduce them to other dogs while walking them to avoid any accidental negative greetings in my care.

Malvi and Andrej are great. They are thoughtful about how different dogs will get along. They have a big backyard and the pups get lots of playtime outside. The first floor of their house is well set up for dogs, and they take really good care of the pups who come to spend the day. My dog has done day care at their house as well as boarding, and she comes home relaxed and happy every time.

This approach builds trust between pets and their owners, encourages great behavior, and supports overall health and wellness. Having experienced the heartbreak of losing our own beloved pups, we understand just how precious these animals are to you. That love and loss is exactly what drives us to show up for other pet owners and give their babies the attentive, compassionate care they deserve. Whether your household includes rambunctious puppies or beloved senior pets, we are fully equipped to provide expert, personalized care tailored to their unique needs. You can rest easy knowing your pet is in the most loving hands. Pet care is not just a job for us — it’s a passion. As a couple who both work remotely full-time, we have the flexibility throughout the day to give your pet consistent attention, walks, feeding, and playtime without disruption to their routine. On weekends, we like to spend time outdoors going for walks and exploring new areas. This means we are more than happy to take your pet along with us and give them the exercise and socialization they need. You can trust that your pet's care is always a top priority for us, and we will make sure to provide the attention and love they need to thrive. Whether we are caring for pets in our home or yours, their safety and comfort are always our top priority. Our home is pet-friendly, and we treat every animal as if they were our own. In our home, we live in a spacious 3- story apartment that is very pet-friendly. About: I have six years of deep, hands-on experience raising and loving my own sweet fur baby. Being a dedicated pet parent taught me every aspect of dog care from maintaining strict, feeding and medication schedules to reading, subtle body language handling daily walks and providing comfort during storms or anxiety. I lost my baby girl in March 😢 and that showed me how irreplaceable our pets. Are I now know firsthand that your pet isn’t just your animal. They are your family. I treat every dog in my care with the same exact patience, tenderness, and safety first mindset that I gave my own. Pet care fits into my schedule because I managed my own flexible schedule from home. Pet care just fits in naturally. It’s my passion. I have a large two bedroom apartment and I have plenty of living space and I also have a dog park provided by my community.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Edmonston on Rover is $38.85 per day (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 5,513 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Edmonston. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Edmonston commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 5,513 sitters in Edmonston, 88% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
