About: As a couple who shares a home and a deep love for animals, Devin and Precious bring a unique and heartfelt set of skills to pet sitting that truly sets us apart. Having both been raised around dogs from a young age and actively raising dogs together, we bring a lifetime of hands-on experience to every pet we care for. Beyond dogs, we also have experience with reptiles, making us comfortable and confident with a wide variety of animals. Living together means your pet is never left alone — they become a part of our home and our routine, receiving around-the-clock attention, love, and care. We are natural animal lovers and whisperers, which allows us to quickly build genuine connections with your furry friend and tune into their individual needs. One of the core philosophies we live by is positive reinforcement training through treats and healthy diets. This approach builds trust between pets and their owners, encourages great behavior, and supports overall health and wellness. Having experienced the heartbreak of losing our own beloved pups, we understand just how precious these animals are to you. That love and loss is exactly what drives us to show up for other pet owners and give their babies the attentive, compassionate care they deserve. Whether your household includes rambunctious puppies or beloved senior pets, we are fully equipped to provide expert, personalized care tailored to their unique needs. You can rest easy knowing your pet is in the most loving hands. Pet care is not just a job for us — it’s a passion. As a couple who both work remotely full-time, we have the flexibility throughout the day to give your pet consistent attention, walks, feeding, and playtime without disruption to their routine. On weekends, we like to spend time outdoors going for walks and exploring new areas. This means we are more than happy to take your pet along with us and give them the exercise and socialization they need. You can trust that your pet's care is always a top priority for us, and we will make sure to provide the attention and love they need to thrive. Whether we are caring for pets in our home or yours, their safety and comfort are always our top priority. Our home is pet-friendly, and we treat every animal as if they were our own. In our home, we live in a spacious 3- story apartment that is very pet-friendly. Your furry friend will have plenty of room to roam around and play, and we will make sure they feel right at home with lots of love and attention. We are also located near multiple parks, so your pet will have plenty of opportunities to get outside and enjoy some fresh air and exercise.

About: I’ve taken care of pets all my life! I helped raise and take care of a Golden Retriever for 14 years in my childhood home until she passed away. Right know I have 3 elderly dogs who are my BFF's. I can't imagine my life without a furry friend. Also I've helped watch family and friends dogs since a young age. I love dogs of any kind and will love yours like my own! I’m currently working close to home with very flexible hours. I can work with your schedule to find the right time to care for your pets! I will approach your pet in a calm and slow manner until they feel comfortable with me. I have a fenced yard. My neighborhood is great for walks. Also depending on your preference with dog park/ walks, I typically take dogs for a 30 min walk (of course each dog is different in taking their time I fully respect that). If your dog is comfortable at the dog park, I’d love to take them there as well! My dog park is 20 minutes away (walking).I can accomodate dogs in crates or dogs that sleep on dog beds. In case of an emergency, I will always contact you first and take your pet to your preferred vet. I have a jeep which your dog will feel really comfortable in, so I am able to get your pet to whichever vet quickly!

About: Hello World! My name is Rouday and I have been taking care of dogs since I was 10 years old. In those 25 years I have had the privilege of raising three dogs, all different shapes and sizes. I enjoy taking dogs on long walks, playing with them at dog parks, and loving up on my furry friends. I currently have an extremely flexible schedule as I work remotely and control my own workflow. I also have two young children that require schedule flexibility. Very safe secure building, which includes dedicated dog walking areas, and also room to groom pets as well. Location is also close to some great parks and walking paths that dogs will enjoy

Yosef is FANTASTIC! He took my request (desperate plea) to sit my pup in the final hour and I couldn’t be happier! Batman was mad at ME to leave and fell asleep as soon as we got in the car. I know he had a great time with Yosef and Law and we’re both looking forward to his next visit.

Rita was absolutely amazing with my dog, Natalie! Natalie can be reactive and typically needs time to adjust to new environments and people, but Rita went above and beyond to make sure she felt comfortable and supported. She took the time to really understand Natalie’s needs, triggers, and what makes her happy, which made such a difference. I really appreciated the regular photo updates and how communicative she was throughout—checking in, asking thoughtful questions, and keeping me reassured the entire time. It’s clear Rita genuinely cares and puts in the extra effort, and because of that, Natalie had a great experience. I’m so grateful and would absolutely book with her again. Thank you, Rita!

About: Hi there! I'm a dog mom of an energetic boxer, Gus. Gus is my first dog, but from a young age, I always walked dogs in the neighborhood. As an adult, I had over 4 years of experience with doggy roommates. I have experiences with many different personalities and sizes so I'm very comfortable with them. Gus is an excellent walking buddy who is good on the leash and so love to play with a grieve l friend for a visit. I work from home Monday through Friday 9:00-5:00, so I'm around most of the time to monitor play and keep the pets company. If it helps lighten the load when packing, I havethe following items already: Extra dog beds Dog bowls including a slow feeder Feel free to pack these items if course if they will make your pup happier to have their own. A few things I work from home Monday through Friday 9:00 to 5:00. So I'm around the Pets most of the day. I also have a fenced in backyard for the them to run and and get some energy out. I will walk them in the neighborhood and will avoid busy streets. I also don't introduce them to other dogs while walking them to avoid any accidental negative greetings in my care.

Aaron & Paweena were great and accommodated me so last minute! My sweet boy can be a bit nervous at first when it comes to settling in but he had such a great day and was absolutely exhausted by the end of the day! I came back to him chewing on a treat they gave him & he barely acknowledged me picking him up lol this won’t be my last time booking!

About: I’m a dependable and caring dog lover who has been caring for my own two friendly dogs a small dog and a medium sized dog for the past year. I understand how important it is to leave your pet with someone you trust, so I’ll treat your dog like family while they’re in my care. I provide a safe, clean, and loving home with plenty of attention, playtime, walks, and cuddles. I’ll follow your dog’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, medications if needed, and any special instructions. I’ll also send regular photo and video updates so you can feel connected and have peace of mind while you’re away. My goal is for every dog to feel comfortable, happy, and loved from the moment they arrive until it’s time to go home. I provide pet care from home, which allows me to give dogs plenty of attention throughout the day. My routine includes morning potty breaks, walks, playtime, feeding according to each pet’s schedule, and lots of affection. I enjoy spending time with animals and making sure they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while they are away from their families. I provide a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment where pets can feel relaxed and cared for. I live in an apartment within a pet-friendly community with a large outdoor area for walks and fresh air. There is also a nearby dog park where I take my own dogs for exercise and enrichment. I have two friendly dogs of my own, one small and one medium-sized, and I always prioritize slow introductions and making sure all pets are comfortable with each other. I follow each owner’s instructions carefully, including feeding routines, potty breaks, and any special needs, while providing updates so owners can feel confident their pets are in good hands.

Over the past two years, Amani has been the best, most reliable daycare for my golden Blob. Every single time I drop her off, Blob is absolutely out of her mind with joy to see Amani. When she comes home, Blob is dead dog tired after a full day of play. Blob formed a particular attachment to Amani's son, who taught her tricks, read to her, and played soccer with her. Their friendship is absolutely adorable. Amani took excellent care of Blob weekly from when she was two months old to two years old. Through that time, she was always flexible when my needs changed, picking up Blob or changing the date when I requested. We are sad to be moving out of state and will truly miss Amani and her family.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in University Park on Rover is $42.8 per day (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 5,525 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across University Park. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your University Park commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 5,525 sitters in University Park, 87% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
