“I'm really grateful that I found Jeremy through Rover so my son and I could go visit Timpanogos cave! Her puppy and my puppy got to play and mine was tired after, which was nice too.”

“Yosef is FANTASTIC! He took my request (desperate plea) to sit my pup in the final hour and I couldn’t be happier! Batman was mad at ME to leave and fell asleep as soon as we got in the car. I know he had a great time with Yosef and Law and we’re both looking forward to his next visit.”

“Julie took good care of my timid pup Sophie. She sent some pics during the day, and Sophie seemed happy and comfortable when I picked her up. Julie is also very easy to communicate with - a plus. I'll be using her again to care for Sophie.”

“Jeff looked after our dog (Toby) when I had to leave town for the day. I ran into delays during the commute home, but Jeff was v understanding. I'm so grateful for Jeff's flexibility and Toby came home a happy camper :)”

“I needed an alternative sitter for my dog Max so I contacted Doulay. She was warm, caring and flexible. The dog also took to her right away. Doulay updated me several time during the day with pictures and I could see that my dog was having a great time. I would recommend her highly to anyone. I will using her again in the future.”

About: I can do anything from walking to giving baths or from filling food and water to providing medicine 🐾 I’m okay with dogs of all ages and sizes from puppies to pitbulls and from the sick to the elderly 🙂 I can work remotely so it fits in quite easily. I live in Greenbelt, MD and my office is in DC (when I do decide to go into work), so really anywhere in the suburbs I’m willing to drive to! Any special instructions will be listened to and I will take great care of your pet(s). Hopefully things work out and you can be a regular-ish client! Please note: i board 3-4 dogs at a time. If you have a larger breed dog and I’m boarding multiple dogs, I might require them to where a bark collar that just buzzes if they get aggressive. Depending on their behavior. It helps with mitigation. I have never had any accidents happen under my watch and would like to keep it that way.
“Kuma looked like he had the best time with Irma! I definitely appreciate her taking care of him on short notice for a day trip I had planned. She sent updates of Kuma throughout the day. I would definitely recommend and revisit!”

About: Since I've gotten my pup in the hybrid work life, I've been able to pet sit for for neighbors throughout the day and provide nurturing support to my own pup. I'm currently working remote would love to establish a dog sitting or walking schedule with a dog parent in need of a caring and engaged sitter. I live steps from a dog park which I visit with my labrador retriever often. We go to the park at least 4 times a week, and I would love to take your pup either together or separately.
“Crystal is so amazing!!! She is patient, thoughtful and caring. My Junior was well taken care and I felt comfortable with leaving him with Crystal. I’ve already booked my next appointment for Junior and I know there will be many more appointments in the future. Crystal is the best!!!”

About: I’ve always loved dog sitting, ever since I was a little kid and would dog sit for all my neighbors. I had a dog, but he had left us and I miss him very much. I love the companionship and am always excited to spend time with new friends! I currently only work once a week, and do school from home, so I have all the time needed to play with and take care of your pet! I have a fenced in courtyard with grass and plenty of space, and friends/family who love to come visit and will give your pet plenty of attention. There is nothing I like more than spending time with a dog!
“Catie was great with my pup Ruby! Ruby has some extra triggers, and Catie not only was great with making sure Ruby did okay and figuring out what Ruby needed alongside the other dogs in care that day, but also provided frequent updates throughout the day. 5/5!”

About: My best friend is my deaf dog, Timmy (I have human friends too, but they're less obedient). We didn't know that he was deaf when we adopted him, so he doesn't know his name. He is four years old, and very well-trained. He loves having doggy friends, just like me. Before Timmy, I also raised two voluptuous guinea pigs named Swiss and Muenster (like the cheese) in addition to caring for recreational therapy guinea pigs who live at the National Institutes of Health. I promise that your best buddies will be in good hands with me no matter what service you choose. I can also guarantee that your favorite furry friends will be thoroughly exercised before they are returned back home to you. I am in my junior year of college at the University of Maryland College Park, so I have extra free time on certain days to walk dogs and provide doggy day care :) In my home, I am always sure to have the dogs go outside regularly, with at least two walks during doggy daycare. I provide plenty of water and will provide any food or treats that you might bring for them. I will give them lots of love and playtime as well :)

We are natural animal lovers and whisperers, which allows us to quickly build genuine connections with your furry friend and tune into their individual needs. One of the core philosophies we live by is positive reinforcement training through treats and healthy diets. This approach builds trust between pets and their owners, encourages great behavior, and supports overall health and wellness. You can rest easy knowing your pet is in the most loving hands. Pet care is not just a job for us — it’s a passion. As a couple who both work remotely full-time, we have the flexibility throughout the day to give your pet consistent attention, walks, feeding, and playtime without disruption to their routine. On weekends, we like to spend time outdoors going for walks and exploring new areas. This means we are more than happy to take your pet along with us and give them the exercise and socialization they need. You can trust that your pet's care is always a top priority for us, and we will make sure to provide the attention and love they need to thrive. Whether we are caring for pets in our home or yours, their safety and comfort are always our top priority. Our home is pet-friendly, and we treat every animal as if they were our own. About: Hello! I've had dogs all my life and worked as part of a rescue group for part of that time. I love dogs and have a lot of experience taking care of them. I can take them for walks, give them lots of attention and if they take any medication, I have experience with that as well. I'm good with any size dog since I've had a lot of different ones from Cocker Spaniels to Irish Wolfhounds. I don't have any "official" recommendations but I have pet sitted for friends of my family a time or two. I'm also good with multiple dogs, having grown up around 6-12 in my house at any given time, along with multiple cats. I would love to be able to pet sit for you! I currently work from home, so I am able to be flexible when it comes to taking care of your furry family members, rain or shine! I can do doggy daycare in my house if your furry friend gets along with mine, but also more than happy to take care of your pets in your home, whether taking them out for a walk, feeding them, or letting them out into the yard.

About: I’m a dog trainer, & I’m a U.S. Army veteran with a service dog! Though people call me the dog whisperer I just communicate with canines really well. I always pay attention to detail especially for those little escape artists. I can teach your dog new tricks. I’ve gone to dog training classes and also worked for dog training companies but I currently have my own. I was the office manager that answered phone calls from new clients and answered any questions in two different languages. I was also the Assistant trainer that specialized in training dogs that had behavioral issues. I handled dogs with aggression problems, dogs that were nervous or lacked confidence, puppies that needed help with their Obedience and older dogs that needed obedience training. I also trained dogs to become Service Dogs. Throughout my life I’ve owned multiple dogs of my own. I love taking care of dogs! I also have immeasurable experience with dogs who have social and/or separation anxiety, as my two rescues both had issues with anxiety when they first came home with me. I am mostly available by 7:30a.m but sometimes I can be available all day! I can also speak Spanish fluently and a little Korean. I’m going to learn how to properly groom dogs and cats but until then I currently can offer clients bath services & nail trims. I’d also appreciate honest frequent feedback or recommendations to further improve my services. You can reach me mostly through text. I always have my cellphone on me. I’m looking forward to giving the best service ever experienced for a reasonable flexible rate. The dogs in my care are more than my furry clients, they are Ohana, family! As a pet parent myself, I know how hard it is to go away and leave your cute cuddly family member(s) behind. I have the knowledge to make sure your pets feel at ease and happy while you're out of town! That's why I promise to treat your pet(s) just like they were my own fur babies. Money is nice but happy tails and wet kisses are better! Don’t be shy to ask for a cost adjustment if my prices are too high and if it’s your first time using Rover!!! I have a service dog with me at all times as well unless my health is stable enough to just bring my electronic medical equipment. I train dogs and cut dog nails when we are not over booked with house sittings/boardings. So if you require your pet to not be left alone for more than 4hrs please let me know beforehand. I can also easily crate your dog if they can not be left out roaming AND if you provide a crate for them for their stay. *****Mandatory***** *meet&greets are due before bookings & are also due to the safety of my service dog and myself. **All meet and greets are between the $50-$150 depending on distance, unless otherwise discussed on Rover that there won’t be one needed. I care for my pets and service animals with the best care possible. All are up to date with their vaccines and are all socially acquainted including with felines! ****For the safety of all animals**** ***Meet & Greets are required before all bookings. *** *Meet & greets are required for new bookings* *Meet & greets are required for new same day bookings.** ** if it’s your first time booking with my services. ** if it’s your first time booking with us and you have more than one animal** ** if you don’t have children** **if you have an animal or animals that needs extra care** ***

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Berwyn Heights
Murphy can be very skittish around new people, but he absolutely adored Jeff. Jeff was very accommodating with time which worked well because we were visiting DC. He helped make our trip here so much better because we knew Murphy was in good hands. Highly recommend!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Berwyn Heights commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
