“Pond did a good job housesitting our older dog. They were very responsive and sent updates and photos. They followed our directions for walking and feeding. I would use Pond again.”

About: I have taken care of friend’s pets since I was a child as a side hustle. I pay close attention to the details of you and your animal’s specific needs to provide the easiest time possible. During the school year I am a grad student at UMD and can be very flexible. During the summer I work in office full time but am free after 6:30pm and on weekend. I promise to take care of your pet as if it were my own. I aim to offer your pet the most comfortable environment as possible, and be as communicative and flexible with you as I can.
“Cora was an excellent sitter that got Ozzy and Dee out for many walks. They loved her and she was attentive and an extremely good communicator which put our minds at ease. Definitely will look to book again and highly recommend to all pet owners!”

“Sean has a great rapport with Sinead - and I trust him with her. He asks good questions and is very responsive. I would 100% call upon him again and have, in fact, already made another reservation.”

“Paola was our first pet sitter since we moved to MD almost two years ago and our first time using the Rover App so we were a bit nervous but Paola came a few days before our trip to meet us and our pets and really put our mind at ease. Paola is so kind and gentle … our puppies soon warmed up to her and Paola took really good care of our pets and provided lots of pictures and communication during her stay. We will definitely ask Paola to pet sit for us again in the future! She is truly a “gem”!!!”

“Sam is a fantastic sitter! He did a great job watching our dog and 3 cats, managing meds, and keeping the pets entertained. We rested easy while we were away knowing our pets were in great hands with Sam!”

“Jessica took amazing care of our home and our kitty while we were away. She went above and beyond to ensure everything was well cared for. She sent pics and updates and communicated clearly. I would highly recommend her to anyone. Thank you Jessica!!”

“Hannah is super nice and took great care of my dog babies. She asked all the questions about what they needed and house rules, as well, was also available last minute which was also amazing. Her prices are very reasonable and would highly recommend her for all things pet related. I will definitely hire her again. 💚”

“Mark did a great job taking care of our golden retriever while staying at our house. He took Lincoln for two good walks a day and kept him company at night. He stayed in touch daily and sent photos of our boy looking happy and relaxed. He even went above and beyond by mowing our lawn! Mark is a nice guy, a hard worker, and clearly loves animals! We would hire him again.”

“Karleigh was great! Lolah finally warmed up to her, and sometimes cats act weird around strangers, but Karleigh was great at breaking the ice! Really appreciate you Karleigh! Hope to have you over again! Thanks!!”

“Izcali stayed with our two dogs while we were away for a weekend. The dogs had a great time and enjoyed cuddling with her on the couch and playing in the backyard. Thank you, Izcali!”

“Jane is wonderful! She took great care of my senior boy who requires medication twice a day. She was in constant communication with me, sent lots of pictures, and was clearly very attentive to him. I’m definitely asking her to stay with Buddy again!”

About: I am an animal science student at the University of Maryland who will be attending veterinary school in the fall! I currently work at a vet clinic and have lots of experience with cats, dogs, and other pets. I would love to look after your pet! As a college student, I have some classes during the day, but I have frequent breaks which mean I can check in on your pet mid-day if needed! My veterinary background means I have lots of experience with animal health. I will keep a close eye on your pet and make sure they’re safe.

About: I've always had a special spot in my heart for animals. Growing up, my neighbors would ask me from a young age to check in on their pets. Eventually, I got my first dog, Bruno, and fell in love with him. I'm experienced in caring for sick dogs, as Bruno suffered from kidney disease in his last few months of life. Now, I'm about to graduate from college, and while I don't have a dog of my own here, I miss my furry friends back home dearly. I truly believe caring for a pet is a gift that gives back as much joy and love as you put into them. I'm excited to meet you and your pets and love them as my own! I currently work part-time, fully remote. My life is super flexible, so I'll certainly have plenty of time to devote to caring for your pets. I live in a house with a yard and a big walking trail nearby. My yard is not gated, so I always take animals out on a leash. I have 4 roommates who love animals just as much as I do. With 5 people in our house, someone is nearly always home. My house has stairs, but the main floor is all one level.
About: I regularly sit for a family of two dogs, one a large German shepherd and the other a small beagle, so I am used to being around every size of animal. My family owns a large retriever who I occasionally sit for as well and is very high energy, so I’m familiar with lots of walks. I’ve regularly house sat for the above two families, and I have a distinct focus for cleanliness and being very hygienic, often leaving the houses cleaner than when I arrived. While dogs are my specialty, I have occasionally sat for cats and other small low maintenance animals (hamsters, reptiles, etc.) Plenty of time with pups available due to being a student and having free weekends! I would love nothing more than to pet set all day I tend to be forward thinking about meals for pets, with a focus on cleanliness and hygiene. Leaving things nicer than when I found them
Berwyn Heights pet parents share their Rover experiences
Connie did an outstanding job looking after our cat Gemini. She made an advance visit to our home to meet Gemini before we left, followed all care instructions to the letter, and provided frequent detailed photo updates throughout her stay. She is certainly our top choice for any of our future pet care needs and we will be recommending her very highly to friends!
