“Asha did a great job taking care of my cat Shiro! We had her do overnight in home care taking and she did an amazing job. Followed all instructions to the T, kept my place tidy and Shiro was well cared for. He takes his time getting used to new pet sitters however he did end up cuddling with Asha near the end of her visit. She also kept me regularly updated with pictures and a quick summary!”

“Karleigh was great! Lolah finally warmed up to her, and sometimes cats act weird around strangers, but Karleigh was great at breaking the ice! Really appreciate you Karleigh! Hope to have you over again! Thanks!!”

“Katherine was amazing with my girls!! She was able to do a meet and greet before our booking and ever since was very responsive and kept me update all the time. At the time of her stay she was very respectful of our home, and took amazing care of my dogs. Definitely will book again!!”

“Paola was an outstanding pet sitter for our (anxious) dog. She went out of her way to care for her, treating a problem area and working with us intensely to find the best solutions. I cannot say enough heartfelt good things about Paola.”

“Chandler is the BEST! I have a rescue dog with anxiety and she doesn’t always warm up to people so it has been hard to find a pet sitter that my girl Sadie is comfortable with. Chandler was sweet and patient with Sadie and they were cuddling on the couch in no time. I got lots of pictures and felt 100% sure Sadie was in great hands.”

About: My partner and I work together to provide reliable and attentive house sitting and pet care throughout the DMV area. I currently work part-time as a concierge, which has strengthened my professionalism, attention to detail, and respect for building security and residents’ privacy. My partner is studying online to become an electrician, which gives him a flexible schedule and a strong sense of responsibility and problem-solving. We also have a cat of our own, so we understand the importance of routine, litter care, enrichment, and recognizing subtle changes in behavior. Caring for animals in their home requires patience and attentiveness, and we take that seriously. Together, we have experience caring for dogs and cats of various sizes, ages, and temperaments. Working as a team allows us to provide consistent supervision, maintain routines, and ensure pets feel comfortable and secure while their owners are away. We are comfortable with: • Small to large dogs • Senior pets • Multiple-pet households • Following detailed feeding and care schedules We prioritize clear communication, cleanliness, and maintaining a calm, secure environment at all times. Our goal is to provide dependable care so you can travel with peace of mind. Pet care fits naturally into our routine. I work some night concierge shifts, which gives me flexibility during the day to maintain feeding schedules, walks, and check-ins. Spending time outdoors with pets is a great balance after overnight work, and I enjoy being active with them. My partner studies in the evenings, so we are both structured and routine-oriented. Having pets in our care fits well with our schedule, as we prioritize consistency, fresh air, and daily activity. Because of our schedule flexibility, we are able to accommodate morning, afternoon, and evening care while ensuring pets receive attentive and reliable supervision. About: I’ve owned and taken care of dogs since I was 6. I took main responsibility of my dogs when I was 9 years old and I have experience with many different breeds including Bully breeds. I know how to properly train, discipline, reward, feed, walk, and bathe pets. I am currently student at university so I would love to spend my weekends taking care of your pets. My schedule is flexible and I’m willing to spend my nights to watch your pets. I would also love to take afternoon walks and would love if your furry friends could join me. I respect any wishes you have for how you would like your pets to be within the house. I can keep your pet crated if you prefer or have them roam the house while keeping a close eye on them. I constantly pay attention to your pets and watch for any signs that they may show.
“Liz was fantastic! She communicated quickly and often. She took great care of our pup, Emma! She left our house clean and even put away groceries I had delivered! She exceeded my expectations and I would book her again in a heartbeat.”

About: I have been petsitting, house sitting, cat sitting, and farm sitting since Rover was DogVacay, but actually since I was a child caring for my neighbors pets and horses. My dog Quill is around 8 years old and gets along with almost everyone. No one is perfect. That's why I ask that you allow enough time to schedule a Meet-N-Greet so we know your dog, my dog, and I are a good fit. I do not accept dogs that are not spayed or neutered. Sorry:( I am skilled at giving pills, liquid oral medications, and subcutaneous shots. (think diabetics and thyroid disease for cats) We have taken in a family member's cat in the past year. She is the queen of the household and is not intimidated by most dogs as long as they are not aggressive toward her. I can do drop in visits for cats, reptiles, and birds as needed. I do accept reptiles and birds into my home as well. My Husband and Stepson enjoy all the animals that come and go. I am working full time until June 17th, therefore I only accept dogs on the weekends until school is out. I just updated my summer schedule so there are more opportunities for walks, house sitting, and cat drop ins. I have a fenced patio that the dogs enjoy hanging out on. I do not have a yard, but my Condo is very large and there is plenty of room for the dogs to play and take breaks from each other. I do not take dogs off leash unless I know the dog very well and we are in a safe area such at the dog park or dog beach. I will only take your dog on excursions with your permission. My dog loves to go to the farm and the dog beach, but that's not for everyone. ;)

About: Hi! My name is Aubrey, and I’ve been pet sitting for over 5 years caring for all kinds of animals — from household pets to farm animals. I have experience with pets of all ages, personalities, and energy levels, whether they’re playful puppies and kittens or senior pets needing extra patience and care. I’ve also raised two puppies of my own, so I’m very familiar with puppy care, training, routines, and the patience and attention young dogs need. As a college student and future grad student at UMD, I have a very flexible schedule, especially over the summer and into next semester. I’m available for overnight stays, daily check-ins, walks, feeding, medication administration, and giving your pets plenty of love and attention while you’re away. I understand every pet has different needs, and I always make it a priority to help them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in their own environment. I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your pets! As a college and future grad student here at UMD, I have a flexible schedule with availability for overnights, walks, drop-ins, and pet care. I always make sure to ask questions not only about your puppy but your house and regular routines. Health in animals is very important while you’re away so I always ask to have detailed notes or instructions.
About: I grew up with dogs and have been around them my entire life. I currently have a 5 year old German Shepherd mix named Akari who is the absolute love of my life. I also, LOVE taking photos of pets. It's one of my favorite parts of doing Rover! I work Full Time 9am-5pm at the University of Maryland! During the week I can do drop ins/walks early in the morning and after work in the evening! Weekends I am completely open! Let me know what you need and we can work something out! Your pups comfortability is my first priority. I want this to be a fun and enjoyable experience for your dog and will do my best to make sure that happens.
“Lauren did overnight sitting in my home for a week and took care of my very needy Persian cat and 130lb Great Dane. She is super reliable, communicative, and left the house in better shape than she probably found it. Will absolutely book with her again. Thank you, Lauren!”

“Really great. Lots of pictures. Extremely responsive and good with the pets. House was immaculate (cleaner than I left it, which was unnecessary but very kind). Would definitely book again.”

“Cora was an excellent sitter that got Ozzy and Dee out for many walks. They loved her and she was attentive and an extremely good communicator which put our minds at ease. Definitely will look to book again and highly recommend to all pet owners!”

“Alayza was very attentive and patient with my pup! Updates and communication were quick and constant. My flight home was delayed but she accommodated the unexpected schedule change. Will definitely be asking for her expertise again! My pup absolutely loved her.”

Greenbelt pet parents share their Rover experiences
Don't be put off by her young age - Karleigh is mature beyond her years. She handled our elderly dogs incontinence issues with aplomb, kept us up-to-date, sent pictures and videos, and asked all the right questions. We will absolutely hire her again, when/if the need presents itself.

Daniel continues to provide peace of mind that our dog Zoe and our home are in great hands, allowing us to actually relax on our vacation. Even with more challenging medication and dietary needs this go around, everything was handled with the same professionalism as always.

I can't recommend Emma highly enough! From the moment we met, it was clear that they genuinely love and understand dogs. Our pups, who can be a little shy with new people and one 16 years…warmed up almost instantly — which never happens! Throughout the entire stay, Emma went above and beyond. She kept us updated with photos and adorable little notes about what our girls were up to. Whether it was playtime in the yard, snuggles on the couch, or rests it was obvious our girls were not just cared for — they were loved. When we returned, our pups was happy, healthy, and clearly had the time of their life. It gave us such peace of mind knowing our girls were in the hands of someone so responsible, kind, and attentive. If you're looking for someone who will treat your pet like family, look no further. Emma is a true gem!
