I got my first dog 6 years ago and ever since it’s been life-changing I’m currently fully remote and free most weekends so, I’ll be available for the most part. I do live in an apartment so I can’t board or dog sit inside my space. I like to go on walks, runs, spend time teaching commands and go on trails. As long as I have Wi-Fi, I can work from your home, allowing me to be present throughout the day. I provide potty breaks every 2–4 hours and can adjust the timing to fit your pet’s feeding, medication, or daily routine. I take safety seriously in your home - checking fencing, gates, and potential escape routes, and staying alert to pets who are talented at getting into things or slipping out unnoticed. I've cared for a mischievous, escape-prone dog myself, so I don't underestimate what a determined pet can get into. I follow your instructions on whether a pet can be left alone and for how long, along with feeding, medication, and any other safety concerns. Your home stays secure while you're away, and your pet stays in a familiar, low-stress environment with consistent care.

“Alayza was great! My husband and I had to leave town quickly for a funeral and Alayza came over the same day I put in my request to Rover so we could meet each other. I have a 16 yr. old Border Collie with kidney disease and a complicated diet and a need for two good walks a day. Alayza was willing to take our request and stayed at our house for some nights. When we returned after 5 days, the house was spick and span but more importantly, we have never seen our dog in such good spirits on a return from a trip!! About: I have cared for dogs over 25 years. I have taught my children how to care for and love dogs. Although, we currently do not own any pets- we put our love on your pets. I work from home 5 days per week until 2pm. The children are all home by 5pm when they can walk, feed and play with pets together. I will only care for your dog in my home. When I am home I walk, feed and allow playtime for your dog. We always have fun!!! I ask that your fur baby is caged trained and shots are up to date.

About: All my life I have loved animals. I greet the pet before the human most times lol. Having had a family dog majority of my life, and now seeing all my siblings have their own pets (dogs & cats), I know how important it is to have someone you can trust to watch your pet, because pets are family! It brings me so much joy to spend time with animals and be able to provide them a safe space to play, explore, eat, sleep, and be loved on! Animals want to feel comfortable and safe just like humans do, and I am joining Rover so I can help provide this type of care for more loving pet owners 😊 If your dog stays with me we will: go on a minimum of 2 15-30 minute walks, have plenty of play time inside and outside, and be cuddled up on the couch enjoying each other's love. I will also send you plenty of pics with updates of how our time together is going! I want to give your pet the best experience while you are away so they feel okay with the unavoidable time apart. Let me rid you of pet parent anxiety & guilt. Trust that with me, your pet with be safe and have a great time 😊 I work remotely, so I have flexibility between the hours of 7am to 7pm to: pick up or drop off a pet, let a dog out to use the bathroom and get some fresh air, take a dog out on multiple walks and socialize them if their parent wants/allows that, be in the home whenever the pet wants attention and love, stimulate their brain by playing with them, and feed it breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I want to ensure a pet gets the most out of their day! I have been caring for animals most of my life, and I care for them as if they are my own pets. I make sure their needs (food, water, bed/sleeping area) are easily accessible and that I am available to them whenever they need. I have a fenced in yard and communal courtyard, making bathroom breaks and outdoor playtime/exploration easy! I also have an open living room and a long hallway making indoor playtime fun and doable! And I have windows that look out onto the street and nature to keep their mind busy on those days the weather isn't the best (and they may not want to be outside). When on walks, I am alert and ensure they are always close to me and in safe situations. I know all the safe foods & medicines cats and dogs can have, as well as the unsafe foods & meds, which I make sure are put away and/out of reach for the animal. I know when to be stern in my tone of voice to discipline a dog when necessary (e.g. out on a walk and they are pulling or I need to get their attention, if they have gotten into something that they shouldn't have, etc.). I want to always make sure the pet is safe from harm when with me. They are like children to me, and I will do anything to protect a child! In addition to ensuring the pets safety, I love to snuggle and give pets all throughout the day, providing the pet with lots of love and comfort. Making them happy makes me happy!

About: I can adapt to a pet’s mood/temperament and do the upmost to remain mindful of all their needs! I grew up helping my dad raise and breed beagles and I have cared for pets over 20 years whether they were my own or owned by family. I joined in 2024 when I lived in Kansas City, MO but ended up having zero time! So now that I’m back in Maryland, I’m ready to assist pets and their owners! 🩷 I am in school full-time so am mostly available on Friday evenings and all day on Saturdays and Sundays. Very occasionally, I can be available for pet care weekday evenings. I do not board pets as one of my cats is very anxious so I will have to go to client’s home to pet sit. Nevertheless, I will triple check that everything is in place and doors are locked prior to leaving a client’s home. For walking, I will triple check that leashes/harnesses are secure and I do not listen to music so I can be 100% aware of my surroundings and the needs of furbabies.
