About: I’ve been taking care of smaller dogs since I was 9, I’ve been around smaller dogs such as yorkies and pomeranians, recently I’ve watched/cared for Maltipoos and Mini Schnauzers under a Puppy Yoga Studio. Additionally I’d also like to mention the last few years I got to experience dog sitting for a bigger breed, an American Bully XL to be specific! I’m a full-time grad student in DC, but I reside in Maryland. I do commute to my classes in DC, my classes take place in the evening on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6pm - 10pm. I care for dogs based upon the instructions of the owner and of course with my own discernment and understanding of particular breeds and the behaviors that come with the breed. Nonetheless, love, play, and care will always be shown :)

About: I've cared for a variety of pets, including cats, dogs, reptiles, and rabbits. I've been lucky enough to live with several wonderful pets, including special needs dogs, and currently share my home with two wonderful cats. I currently work early mornings, with a fairly flexible schedule. I am currently available for afternoon and evenings, but with notice, I can also provide morning check ins. I have the utmost respect for clients' pets and homes and I want to do everything I can to seamlessly integrate pet care into your routines.

About: What sets me apart is the genuine love I have for animals - it's not just a service I provide, it's something I truly care about. Friends and family have trusted me with their pets for years, which is how I got my start and built my experience in dog and cat sitting, walking, and feeding. What I'm most proud of is my patience and my ability to take the time to understand each pet as an individual. Every animal has their own personality, quirks, and comfort levels, and I make it a priority to learn those nuances so I can provide care that feels familiar and safe - not one-size-fits-all. I treat every pet like my own, and that's something their owners always feel. I currently work from home during the work week so I will have plenty of time to play with your animal! I need at least a day heads up but can be pretty flexible in providing care throughout the week. When caring for pets my top priority is making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. For dog walking, I tailor each walk to the dog - whether that means a leisurely stroll for a senior pup or a more energetic outing for a high-energy breed. I always make sure they're safe, have a chance to explore, and return back home happy. Above all, I treat every pet with the same patience and attention I would give my own because I know how much they mean to their families.

About: I’ve taken care of my own pets and some of my neighbors too. I have plenty of experience with animals. I also work at an ER animal hospital. I care for every pet as they were my own. I do work full time and a student as well. My schedule changes but I do have weeks where I am flexible. I set time aside for those in need! . I have my own three dogs, so unfortunately I cannot take care of pets in my own house. But I am more than willing to care for pets in their own environments!

About: Individual with a BS degree in animal science currently pursuing her veterinary technician license who loves animals of all kinds and would love to keep your furry family members as happy, active, and healthy as possible while you are away! I have vast experience working with animals in all aspects from basic husbandry and pet sitting to veterinary clinical care! Due to my busy schedule working a full time job at a veterinary clinic, my services are best suited to individual walks or drop in visits on my days off (usually Tuesdays and Wednesdays), or sitting for pets that are able to be left alone for 9+ hours at a time. I do not have any pets of my own and am child free, so I can easily provide overnight pet sitting for clients if they would prefer rather than just being present during the day.

I have the most experience caring for large breed dogs such as Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, and Labradoodle mixes, and I’m confident handling strong, high-energy pets. About: All my life I have loved animals. I greet the pet before the human most times lol. Having had a family dog majority of my life, and now seeing all my siblings have their own pets (dogs & cats), I know how important it is to have someone you can trust to watch your pet, because pets are family! It brings me so much joy to spend time with animals and be able to provide them a safe space to play, explore, eat, sleep, and be loved on! Animals want to feel comfortable and safe just like humans do, and I am joining Rover so I can help provide this type of care for more loving pet owners 😊 If your dog stays with me we will: go on a minimum of 2 15-30 minute walks, have plenty of play time inside and outside, and be cuddled up on the couch enjoying each other's love. I will also send you plenty of pics with updates of how our time together is going! I want to give your pet the best experience while you are away so they feel okay with the unavoidable time apart. Let me rid you of pet parent anxiety & guilt. Trust that with me, your pet with be safe and have a great time 😊 I work remotely, so I have flexibility between the hours of 7am to 7pm to: pick up or drop off a pet, let a dog out to use the bathroom and get some fresh air, take a dog out on multiple walks and socialize them if their parent wants/allows that, be in the home whenever the pet wants attention and love, stimulate their brain by playing with them, and feed it breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I want to ensure a pet gets the most out of their day! I have been caring for animals most of my life, and I care for them as if they are my own pets. I make sure their needs (food, water, bed/sleeping area) are easily accessible and that I am available to them whenever they need. I have a fenced in yard and communal courtyard, making bathroom breaks and outdoor playtime/exploration easy! I also have an open living room and a long hallway making indoor playtime fun and doable! And I have windows that look out onto the street and nature to keep their mind busy on those days the weather isn't the best (and they may not want to be outside). When on walks, I am alert and ensure they are always close to me and in safe situations. I know all the safe foods & medicines cats and dogs can have, as well as the unsafe foods & meds, which I make sure are put away and/out of reach for the animal. I know when to be stern in my tone of voice to discipline a dog when necessary (e.g. out on a walk and they are pulling or I need to get their attention, if they have gotten into something that they shouldn't have, etc.). I want to always make sure the pet is safe from harm when with me. They are like children to me, and I will do anything to protect a child! In addition to ensuring the pets safety, I love to snuggle and give pets all throughout the day, providing the pet with lots of love and comfort. Making them happy makes me happy!

About: Hi I am an illustrator from Washington D.C. I am a former graphic designers and Production Specialist at the Washington Navy Yard. I also have five years dog waking experience which began In 2014 during my college spring break. I have worked off an on as a dog walker since then. I am a relaxed dog walker who does not get frustrated with extremely hyper dogs. I am also pretty big so I will not be pulled and yanked around by rambunctious pups. I am pretty accommodating to the needs of the owners. If you prefer your dog walked solo that can be arranged. I have been doing this a long time so I’m am used to being around dogs and look forward to walking your family member.

About: I’ve taken care of many dogs since I’ve been 12 years old. I also had my own dog for a couple years as well and I took her on walks, fed her, played with her, etc I am going to see how it fits into my work week schedule and see what would best work for both mine and the owners. I have a big park next to my house as well as trails I can walk on nearby. I also have space for the dog to run around and play outside.

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my hands-on experience raising and training multiple breeds with very different temperaments and needs. I’ve owned and trained a Rottweiler, a German Shepherd, and a Chipin (Chihuahua–Mini Pinscher mix), so I understand how to adjust my approach for both large working breeds and smaller, high-energy dogs. I’m confident with leash training, crate training, reinforcing commands, and establishing healthy structure and boundaries in a calm, consistent way. Pet care fits well into my routine because although I have structured class and work blocks, I have consistent open time in the mornings, late afternoons, evenings, and weekends. Most of my classes are clustered earlier in the day, and I intentionally leave space between commitments, which allows me to schedule walks, feedings, drop-ins, and check-ins without rushing. About: Hi! I love all animals and pets! I primarily have experience caring for cats, dogs, fish, bunnies, birds, hamsters, hermit crabs, and horses as those are the pets I have owned growing up and through adulthood. Most of my care experience has been either for my own pets or for family and friends—all with glowing recommendations! I know basic AFA (Animal First Aid), however, I am not yet certified. I am confident caring for animals of all ages, young through senior. I can provide care for animals that need medications and those with asthma. I would love to take care of your fur babies! I currently work as a nanny to this sweet girl. She’s school aged so I mostly just handle afterschool pickup and care. My schedule may change once school ends late June, however, this can be discussed. It will most likely stay within the hours of the afternoon. My hours currently are 2pm-6pm every weekday. I do not work on the weekends and with afternoon pickup I have plenty of time and flexibility to care for your fur babies! I am confident caring for all animals in any space. I am great at following directions, anything you leave will be followed to ensure your fur baby is well taken care of. I always make sure they are well fed, well maintained, and loved while their human is away. Each animal is different and the type of care given depends on the individual pet. About: Hello! As a college student, the last couple years have been the first time in my life when I didn't have a dog in the house. Growing up, we always had animals, as did my extended family, so not being around them has been kind of a bummer. I really enjoy taking care of animals. The sort of love we give and recieve from them is really special, and very important to me. I've been taking care of the family dogs (and cats!), since I was a preteen. Whenever a relative or friend went on a long trip, or a short one, I would be the they asked to check up on the dogs, stay with them, take care of them. Sometimes that meant staying in the home, other times just visiting throughout the day. I also have experience taking care of older dogs, young puppies, and those with special medical needs. For many years, my family had two dogs Jackson and Billie, who were brother and sister and had the same congenital condition. When they had flare-ups I took care of giving them their medicine and keeping an eye on them. I look forward to helping keep your pets safe, healthy, and happy! Luckily, I have quite a bit of flexibility built into my schedule. Most of the work I'm doing can be done from anywhere at most times of day. Because of this, there's some variation week-to-week and day-to-day but I'm happy to move things around to make things work for your family! Of course, all pets are different! I'm happy to work with you to make the best experience for your animal. I'm always delighted to play tug-of-war, fetch, or anything else! I go on multiple walks a day, everyday, so I'm very happy to bring some company along in the form of your pup.
