About: Hello! I've had dogs all my life and worked as part of a rescue group for part of that time. I love dogs and have a lot of experience taking care of them. I can take them for walks, give them lots of attention and if they take any medication, I have experience with that as well. I'm good with any size dog since I've had a lot of different ones from Cocker Spaniels to Irish Wolfhounds. I don't have any "official" recommendations but I have pet sitted for friends of my family a time or two. I'm also good with multiple dogs, having grown up around 6-12 in my house at any given time, along with multiple cats. I would love to be able to pet sit for you! I currently work from home, so I am able to be flexible when it comes to taking care of your furry family members, rain or shine! I can do doggy daycare in my house if your furry friend gets along with mine, but also more than happy to take care of your pets in your home, whether taking them out for a walk, feeding them, or letting them out into the yard.

About: I've grown up with pets my entire life, and dogs have always been part of my daily routine. I regularly walk, feed, and play with them and would consider myself a natural when it comes to canine companions. In fact, a dog is usually the first thing to greet me when I wake up in the morning! Because I have a dog of my own, and interact with other dogs frequently, I understand their body language and cues, and can thus anticipate their needs and behavior in any given situation. I am patient, kind, and loving in all my interactions with dogs, as they are truly a humans best friend. I look forward to the opportunity to spend time with, and care for, your companions as if they were my own. With 3 dogs and 5 cats, I am well versed in everything from dog park etiquette, to deep litter box cleaning. My daily routine always consists of animal care, from morning until night. With the animals I have in my house, I would prefer to sit at the clients home. I am very low maintenance, and leave no trace of my presence, other than a happy pet waiting for your return.

About: Hello! I am a PhD student at UMD studying black bear ecology. I have been an animal lover since I could talk. I own a German shepherd but I’ve had cats and dogs my whole life. I’ve watched many animals throughout the years for colleagues and friends. I’m new to rover sitting but I am reliable, will be very communicative, and provide the best care to your furry friend. I am a full time student, but I have very flexible hours. I’m open any time on the weekends, as long as I have a few days notice. I can be flexible to your needs! I’ll send you photos, updates on when I am coming and going, follow any rule you have etc. I will care for your animal like my own.

About: I’ve grown up around dogs and cats and have learned how to care, play, and communicate with them through a lifetime of caring for them in my own home. I’ve come to love their little personalities, every pet a distinct individual. I also have experience working in a local pet store and know a great deal about nutrition and treats for pets. I can walk, check in on, or sit for your pet while you’re away in a safe, trustworthy manner. Dogs of all sizes as well as cats are welcome! I hope you’ll consider me today! I’m a full time college student, so my schedule is very flexible. I am most available in the summer and winter, but during the semester I’ll have plenty of time fri-sun and later availability mon-thur! I am able to control rowdy/excited animals on walks and have extensive knowledge in pet diet restrictions. Pet care may seem simple, but I take their safety and security very seriously. About: I owned a Pekingese since I was a child who passed away a few years ago. I also walked dogs in the neighborhood since middle school. Since then, I've lived with dogs (including an anxious dog) and have also volunteered dog walking at an animal shelter. I'm a recent law school graduate who will be relocating to Seattle in October for work. In the meantime, I'm completely free to take on work! As for distance and location, I mostly get around by Metro - if you're near a train or bus station, I can get to you. Working with animals at the shelter I've been able to handle dogs who are reluctant to return to kennels or who are a little shy - I'm patient, flexible, and observant!

About: I have cared for dogs over 25 years. I have taught my children how to care for and love dogs. Although, we currently do not own any pets- we put our love on your pets. I work from home 5 days per week until 2pm. The children are all home by 5pm when they can walk, feed and play with pets together. I will only care for your dog in my home. When I am home I walk, feed and allow playtime for your dog. We always have fun!!! I ask that your fur baby is caged trained and shots are up to date.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs, cats, piranha, bunnies, turtles and rodents, etc! I have always loved and seen animals as the more primal side of our nature but that’s one of the purest forms of love that one can give! I am currently working full time at NIH, and after about 3:30pm, I work with animals around my community. Weekends I like to volunteer with people struggling with bigger dogs and temperament issues. Walking and leash training is key in my experience. I have a big yard for good time and to keep them safe! I love being outside, and making sure that the animals are safe while doing so is of the utmost importance to me !

About: I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life, and growing up, neighbors and friends would often reach out to me for pet care! I also volunteered at an animal shelter through middle and high school and, in addition to learning how to properly care for animals, I also learned a lot about reading dog and cat behavior and body language. I also have experience giving medication to cats and dogs (even the most stubborn and wriggly of them all), so if your pet requires medication, you can feel confident that they will get it! I mostly work from home and have a pretty flexible working schedule. The chance to get out of my house, go for a walk, or hang out with a cute cat or dog is always a bonus for me! About: I work as an assistant manager at Preston’s Country Club for Pets, supporting daily kennel operations. What sets me apart is the experienced, attentive care I give every pet. I take time to learn their personality, routines, and comfort needs, with hands-on experience caring for puppies, senior pets, and providing gentle medication support. I am currently attending University of Maryland, however I only have class for few hours a day. My schedule for classes are Mondays/Wednesdays 9-11:30 and Tuesdays/Thursdays 10- 12:30. I care for pets in my client’s home by following their established routines to keep pets comfortable and stress free. This includes feeding according to instructions, providing fresh water, walks or exercise, playtime, medication if needed, and plenty of attention and affection. I also maintain the home by cleaning up after pets, keeping food and litter areas tidy, and sending regular updates and photos so owners feel confident their pets are well cared for while they’re away.

About: I've owned my own personal pets for the past 8 years, including a snake, dog, and cat. I've also worked with a variety of species in my educational, personal, and professional life. I work summers in a high-stress environment (clinic/boarding facility) where I am responsible for the day-to-day needs, grooming, and occasional medicating of animals. I own my own animals, so get hands-on-experience with animals everyday! Additionally, as a pre-veterinary major at UMD, College Park, I learn not only the practical ways to work with them, but the scientific reasoning behind why animals do what they do. About: I have over 3 years experience walking and pet sitting on Rover, and have been the primary pet caregiver for my household, including 3 dogs, for over 12 years. I love showering pets with tons of affection and play, but also respecting them as animals to give them the proper care they need.
