Lucy is a bit shy but I could tell from the pictures and videos Maria sent me daily that Lucy was comfortable and having a a great time with Maria’s company. Maria was very reliable and even showed up for us on Thanksgiving Day. She sent me a report every day to let me know how the visit went and how Lucy was doing. We hate leaving our Lucy alone for a few days but it was a great comfort to know she was taken such great care of by Maria while my daughter had to go out of town. Carla introduced a laser pointer to our cats, which they were really into! Our cars are not as active as they used to be, so I’m glad they had workouts catching the laser while we were away. Carla even remembered to cancel recurring visits before we returned home, so I didn’t have to remember to do it myself. About: I love pets! I have experience house/dog sitting for clients that have taken vacations of up to 15 days. While house sitting, I can also bring in mail and water plants. About: We grew up with dogs and love having them around. We enjoy opening up our home and taking care of some furry friends and have a ton of experience dog sitting. We foster dogs through a local rescue, so we're confident any DC dog could be comfortable in our home. We have a 4 year old lab mix who likes to host playmates, but is also respectful of dogs' space if they prefer to have a leisurely stay with us. We're able to work on any training and will crate your dog upon request, or give them access to roam depending on your preference! Most importantly, we have experience handling behavior issues like leash reactivity and separation anxiety, please mention those when booking so we can be prepared to make your dog feel the most comfortable they can when they're away from home. We understand that leash reactivity and dog aggression are different, so while we can sit for a dog that's leash reactive, we unfortunately cannot host a dog that is dog aggressive. If there are any training methods you've been working on with your dog, let us know, and we'd be happy to ensure we are reinforcing the training you've been working on with your dog. Please note: dog-boarding does not mean we will be home 100% of the time and we are happy to discuss your expectations and our boarding set up. For boarding (half days may result in an additional fee. example: saturday 8am drop off and a sunday 10pm pick up is 1.5 days). We can be flexible knowing that delays can happen when traveling!
About: I've owned my own personal pets for the past 8 years, including a snake, dog, and cat. I've also worked with a variety of species in my educational, personal, and professional life. I work summers in a high-stress environment (clinic/boarding facility) where I am responsible for the day-to-day needs, grooming, and occasional medicating of animals. So many great things to say about Natalie!! She took my booking the same day even though she was not feeling well earlier in the morning she still showed up to care for my Mocha! I had some internet issues right before she was do to leave out and she helped out even more by trying to assist me in fixing the issues with my internet so the tvs would be left on for Mocha while Noone is there. She is truly very caring and communicates very well during her visits! I can't praise her enough! Thank you for everything Natalie!
Emma is amazing with Santino! She takes such great care of him whenever we’re away. She sends photos after every visit, which gives us so much peace of mind, and it’s clear that Santino absolutely loves her. She even opened his Chewy box with him, which was such a thoughtful touch. We always know he’s in great hands with Emma, and we couldn’t recommend her more highly.
Lindsay was great with Mocha today. I'm one of those pet owners that enjoy detailed updates along with photos. She handled Mocha's lil accident in the kitchen without any hesitation was very thoughtful and kind about the situation which is a major plus in my book along with being on time she was even arrived a few mins early!! Amy did a fabulous job with our dogs! She was very considerate of their needs, especially during a few thunderstorms that passed through. She sent lots of pictures and helpful updates. We felt very comfortable with how our dogs were cared for during our vacation. It helped us fully relax and enjoy our time away!
