About: I've loved animals my whole life, back to the days of summer camp at the National Zoo. I've walked many different dogs through watching friends' and neighbors' pets and volunteering at local animal shelters. I'm also a cat lover who has had cats in the house my whole life, and I even have some experience with pet fish! Animals of all sizes and personalities will be well-loved when spending time with me. :) Added bonus: I'm an excellent pet photographer, so I promise I'll get your furry friend's best side! I'm on summer break from school starting June 19, 2026, so I'll be available most days (including daytime, evenings, and weekends) unless I'm traveling! Before then, I'm available evenings and weekends. My priority is making sure your pet is safe and feels safe with me. I will always ensure your animal has food and water, bathroom access, and protection from other animals. I'm happy to accommodate any pet-specific concerns, too -- I have lots of experience with reactive dogs and will discuss your pet's needs before I spend time with them. About: I’ve grown up around dogs and cats and have learned how to care, play, and communicate with them through a lifetime of caring for them in my own home. I’ve come to love their little personalities, every pet a distinct individual. I also have experience working in a local pet store and know a great deal about nutrition and treats for pets. I can walk, check in on, or sit for your pet while you’re away in a safe, trustworthy manner. Dogs of all sizes as well as cats are welcome! I hope you’ll consider me today! I’m a full time college student, so my schedule is very flexible. I am currently attending University of Maryland, however I only have class for few hours a day. My schedule for classes are Mondays/Wednesdays 9-11:30 and Tuesdays/Thursdays 10- 12:30. I care for pets in my client’s home by following their established routines to keep pets comfortable and stress free. This includes feeding according to instructions, providing fresh water, walks or exercise, playtime, medication if needed, and plenty of attention and affection. I also maintain the home by cleaning up after pets, keeping food and litter areas tidy, and sending regular updates and photos so owners feel confident their pets are well cared for while they’re away.

About: I've always wanted a dog but I never got a chance to have one growing up since my mom was allergic. Now that I have my own place I've realized that my true passion is taking care of other people’s dogs. I have my own reliable transportation and would be able to drop in for visits or walks. I am currently working full time in healthcare. The days I work vary but I do work 12 hour days 3 times a week. If one or more of the days you are requesting falls on one of my work days, your pet would have to be okay going without a bathroom break for up to 8 hours (I have a family member at home that would be able to take your pet for a walk while I am working). For boarding I live in a one bedroom townhouse with a fenced yard that is away from the main road. If you would like to board your pet with me, I will still be respectful of all the rules/boundaries you have for your pet at home (not allowed on the furniture, no people food, etc).

Good vibes all around, and I feel like my cats are sad that I'm back and not Astrid hahaha. Sadly I'm moving states soon for my job, but if I weren't I would be re-booking Astrid every single time!!
Layla took great care of our cat Mosey. She was very attentive and gave great, detailed notes on how Mosey was doing. Layla communicated with us throughout the week we were gone and our cat kitty was very happy with Layla’s company. I definitely recommend Layla for pet care.

She takes the time to build trust with each dog and makes them feel comfortable and safe. She’s also an excellent communicator, keeping us updated and giving us complete peace of mind. We really appreciate Sarah being able to drop in on our cats with very short notice due to an emergency trip we had to take. Our kitties took to Sarah right away even though they have shied away from strangers before. I hope Sarah won't be a stranger to them for long because we will definitely request her as a sitter for any future trips we will take.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
