I’ve volunteered at PAW here in Maryland and worked as a Pet-care Specialist, Dog walker, and Pet sitter for cats, dogs, birds, reptiles, fish, and other small pets. About: What sets me apart is the personal attention and genuine care I bring to every pet. I’m patient, dependable, and attentive to each animal’s unique personality, routines, and needs. I’m comfortable caring for both dogs and cats, including pets who may be shy, older, or need a little extra patience and attention. I treat every pet as if they were my own. I am available to board pets most days of the week. I spend most of my time studying at home and I’m available during most days for a walk or a visit. I have a large fenced yard and live in an area with lots of parks and walkability. I also have some limited availability to care for your pet in your own home if desired.

About: Hi! I love all animals and pets! I primarily have experience caring for cats, dogs, fish, bunnies, birds, hamsters, hermit crabs, and horses as those are the pets I have owned growing up and through adulthood. Most of my care experience has been either for my own pets or for family and friends—all with glowing recommendations! I know basic AFA (Animal First Aid), however, I am not yet certified. I am confident caring for animals of all ages, young through senior. I can provide care for animals that need medications and those with asthma. I would love to take care of your fur babies! I currently work as a nanny to this sweet girl. She’s school aged so I mostly just handle afterschool pickup and care. My schedule may change once school ends late June, however, this can be discussed. It will most likely stay within the hours of the afternoon. My hours currently are 2pm-6pm every weekday. I do not work on the weekends and with afternoon pickup I have plenty of time and flexibility to care for your fur babies! I am confident caring for all animals in any space. I am great at following directions, anything you leave will be followed to ensure your fur baby is well taken care of. I always make sure they are well fed, well maintained, and loved while their human is away. Each animal is different and the type of care given depends on the individual pet. All pets will be loved and looked after as if they were my own.

Lucy is a bit shy but I could tell from the pictures and videos Maria sent me daily that Lucy was comfortable and having a a great time with Maria’s company. Maria was very reliable and even showed up for us on Thanksgiving Day. She sent me a report every day to let me know how the visit went and how Lucy was doing. We hate leaving our Lucy alone for a few days but it was a great comfort to know she was taken such great care of by Maria while my daughter had to go out of town. I will definitely use Maria again if we need a pet sitter in the future and I’m so grateful for her wonderful care of our sweet Lucy.”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs and cats and have learned how to care, play, and communicate with them through a lifetime of caring for them in my own home. I’ve come to love their little personalities, every pet a distinct individual. I also have experience working in a local pet store and know a great deal about nutrition and treats for pets. About: I've cared for a variety of pets, including cats, dogs, reptiles, and rabbits. I've been lucky enough to live with several wonderful pets, including special needs dogs, and currently share my home with two wonderful cats. I currently work early mornings, with a fairly flexible schedule. I am currently available for afternoon and evenings, but with notice, I can also provide morning check ins. I have the utmost respect for clients' pets and homes and I want to do everything I can to seamlessly integrate pet care into your routines.

About: I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life, and growing up, neighbors and friends would often reach out to me for pet care! I also volunteered at an animal shelter through middle and high school and, in addition to learning how to properly care for animals, I also learned a lot about reading dog and cat behavior and body language. I also have experience giving medication to cats and dogs (even the most stubborn and wriggly of them all), so if your pet requires medication, you can feel confident that they will get it! I mostly work from home and have a pretty flexible working schedule. The chance to get out of my house, go for a walk, or hang out with a cute cat or dog is always a bonus for me! I look forward to the days I get to take care of someone’s pet because it fits perfectly in my schedule, brings me so much joy, and gives me an opportunity to help others out. I can visit your home to give your pets potty breaks, feedings, walks, or quality time. I will make sure your pet gets plenty of play time and interaction over the course of a home visit!

About: I've owned my own personal pets for the past 8 years, including a snake, dog, and cat. I've also worked with a variety of species in my educational, personal, and professional life. I work summers in a high-stress environment (clinic/boarding facility) where I am responsible for the day-to-day needs, grooming, and occasional medicating of animals. I own my own animals, so get hands-on-experience with animals everyday! Additionally, as a pre-veterinary major at UMD, College Park, I learn not only the practical ways to work with them, but the scientific reasoning behind why animals do what they do. I also work with them professionally during the summer, when I am not at school. I will not provide services from my home (due to owning my own animals, family at home, etc.). However, any rules set by the owners would be followed to the letter, and I am also extremely capable of making choices in the best interest of both animals and people involved in situations, due to my history of involvement with animals!
